Let me start off by saying that Dr. Ballard is a great doctor. Great sense of humor, great advice and I look forward to Dr. appts. However Meritas appears to overbook their doctors to the point where if you get sick and need to see your Doctor, you can't get in. 'Urgent' care was a 3 hour wait. 2 days to actually see any Doctor on that 'team'.. By then I'll either have recovered or I'll be dead. Why don't they hire more Doctors? It's not like they can't afford it.

This facility is extremely unprofessional, untrained, and have no empathy whatsoever toward their patients. They are very unorganized and most of the staff has no idea what their job is. I waited several months for an important appointment just for them to tell me when I arrived that they do not accept my insurance, in which they had on file for over a year beforehand and never checked to verify until the day of my appointment. Then the staff LITERALLY laughed at me as I cried because I couldn’t see the doctor on an important issue. I ignored all the bad reviews. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.

I recommend seeing Dr. Boyce. I saw him and was very pleased. The office is clean, everyone was very helpful and I didn’t have to wait long to be called back. He took the time to answer all my questions, was very professional and thorough. I appreciated him actually listening to what I had to say and the medical advice I was provided. He was very friendly and personable. I overall had a great experience and would 5 ⭐️ recommend.

My kids (now adults) and I have been coming here for 15+ years. Our doctor was Dr. Leurding who was absolutely wonderful but has since retired. Throughout the years I have seen other doctor's at the practice when he wasn't available or when I came in for urgent care. I have almost always had a great experience with just about every doctor and nurse. I now see a new Dr. who is my primary care doctor and he is also awesome and really takes time to listen to his patients.

Tried to make an appointment today due to being severely sick and unable to keep any fluids or food down and was told they have no appointments because half the doctors are OFF today? I’m sorry what? Why is half your staff off on ONE day preventing patients from being seen? Definitely finding a new Dr office. I’m over it. Left Meritas Pediactrics for the same reason, that and I felt like they literally did not care about my son. Meritas is a poorly managed office.

I don't think anybody likes going to the doctor, really. But this place makes it tolerable, for me, and my doctor has saved my life, twice. Yes, it's expensive sometimes. But he (Dr. Jurgensmeier) listens and explains stuff in a way that I can understand, and doesn't rush me out the door. I'd recommend him to anyone.

My entire family has been seeing Dr. Michael DiBernardo since I was in elementary school. He is an absolutely wonderful doctor who listens to patient concerns, explains things well, and cares deeply about his clients. However, the quality of care that myself and my family have received at Meritas Health Gashland has decreased significantly over the years. Back when the clinic was Gashland Clinic, not affiliated with Meritas Health, things were different. Appointments were easy to make in a reasonable timeframe and the urgent care process was expedient. Since becoming affiliated with Meritas Health, the doctor I have seen since childhood is difficult to see unless I am willing to wait 4-8 weeks for my appointment date to arrive. If I do opt to wait for an office visit, my doctor is unable to sit and listen to all of my concerns for very long because of their packed schedules. Urgent care is a nightmare. There are so many patients that they have begun using a former lab room, suite 160, to seat patients waiting to be seen. The wait times range from an hour to three hours. Often, the doctors assigned to urgent care duty for that week are burned out, dismissive, and rude to their patients. The nurses and scheduling staff can be rude and short. I have no idea why this once lovely clinic has gone to hell in a hand basket, but it makes me very sad, angry, and disappointed. Meritas Health has obviously mismanaged this clinic, but they will never change - because healthcare is a necessary service, there is very little accountability to be held. Nevertheless, I hope this changes in the future, so that the many longtime patients can be served far better than they are currently being served.

Dr. Stephanie Haupt is a fantastic primary care doctor. She listens to your concerns, provides great resources and is very easy to work with. Even though I moved to the other side of the city, I still visit her because she's that awesome.

I have used Gashland Clinic for 40 yrs. Have always had good care here. My current primary physician is Dr. Berry and he does a great job with my treatments and keeping up with me. They have always worked with me to get in timely and keep me up to date on all of my tests or exams. I don’t have any complaints and would recommend Gashland and the physician’s at this clinic.

Be careful with billing department. Got a bill for a routine wellness visit (100% covered by insurance) for nearly $500 for my husband. They didn't even attempt to run it thru insurance despite confirming the card details at check-in and scanning it into their system.

We have a wonderful doctor. He takes very good care of both of us. William and Jane Sherman. He always talk s with us and helps us alot. Dr. D. Is wonderful and really cares of us . William and Jane Sherman He always take the time with us and I feel he really cares. I would never go to another Dr. He is very understanding and always helps and will listen to our needs. Always helps us and never is to busy to listen to us. I give him 10 stars and even more. Please never let him go. Thank you Doug and Jane Sherman.

Dr. Boyce - agreed with another reviewer, he has no listening skills & patients are not even patients but just a number. Daughter left office without a clear understanding of treatment plan. Dr. prescribed antibiotics within 5 mins of consultation and sent her off her way. Daughter gets asthmatic coughing spells with respiratory infection - yet, Dr. seems less concern. Maybe because it was after hours urgent care, and drs were overwhelmed and felt rushed - then it's Meritas system that is disappointing their patients with their poor service. Would not recommend anyone coming here for urgent care.

My mother had spent the morning in the hospital in extreme amounts of pain and didn’t necessarily agree with her diagnosis from st Luke’s. So she called her doctors office for a peace of mind and a second opinion.. When asking to speak to her dr krum? She got his nurse. Unsure of her name. But my mom explained her situation to the nurse and she responded with “Well you’re not a physician now are you”. There was absolutely no reason for that nasty comment. My mother was just in pain and trying to see what her doctor thought. Hopefully they don’t talk to all of their patients like that.

Really unimpressed with the office, specifically the doctors. If you're sick today, there's no available appts to get in for antibiotics or anything. I've dealt with Dr Boyce on a few occasions. He makes you feel like another number and not an individual patient. No personality, no patient empathy, no listening skills. We brought one of my kids in to see Dr McCormick for his first patient check-up. Told the nurse that son was here today for a first time checkup and the appt was scheduled over a month ago, but happens to be feeling early symptoms of strep. Doctor came in, didn't check ears, eyes, throat. Didn't check breathing and barely asked any questions at all and said, "ok, we'll get you checked out soon" and tried to dismiss him. My wife spoke up to the nurse when she tried to give paperwork and said, "can we check him for strep or COVID or something? He's not feeling well." The nurse walked out and wife overheard them scoffing in the hall. Then McCormick walks back in and said, "Next time you need to tell us you don't feel good before.." My wife said, "We did!" They swabbed him really quickly and said, " you're good. No COVID." Looking for a new doctors office. 2 out of 2 bad doctors from the same office isn't good odds. ✌🏽

I’ve been going to this clinic since 2016 and have had nothing but positive experiences. I’ve always been able to get seen on short notice and the doctors I have seen all made me feel seen and heard when it comes to my health concerns. I’ve recently switched to Dr. Ballard as my PCP and couldn’t be happier, he’s been an amazing doctor for me and my whole family.

We have been patients for about 20 years and we are sitting in urgent care now for 30 minutes with a packed waiting room and nobody has been seen yet. We can hear nurses in the background making calls and then when they get off the phone with the patient they are being loud and very disrespectful about the person they just got off the phone with. They have been loud and disrespectful to each other as well. This is not my first time in urgent care here, but it is the first time we have been sent to suite 160. I am very unpleased and unimpressed with how this visit has gone so far and we still haven't seen a doctor. I mean this little room was packed to the point that some people left and others had to sit on the floor because there wasn't enough chairs for everyone to sit in. We finally seen a nurse and asked her if anyone was being seen as we had been there for over 45 minutes and nobody where we were had been seen yet. She told us that suite 160 is only a waiting room for urgent care there are no doctors over there, just scheduler's. So we went to the front desk and asked what was going on since we were early in the line at 12:45 check in, one lady was nice and trying to see what the hold up was and the other lady, who was talking with another patient, interrupted rudely and said there was a long wait for urgent care. The first lady told us we could go back to lobby 2 because we were next in line to be seen. When we got to the lobby there were only like 6 seats taken, lobby 1 was the same way, barely anyone in there. Well over an hour wait and we finally got to the room. The nurse was sweet and kind. Now we are waiting on test results and the doctor so we can find out what's going on with her. So I received a message to call and talk to the office manager and let her know what happened yesterday. She was very polite and kind and said she didn't know you could hear what was being said in the back like that and that she would address that with the staff next week. I have changed my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star and appreciate the quick response from the office on this matter.

The nurses and Doctor Fox were very nice. I just had multiples issues with the front desk. They lacked customer service, and it honestly felt like they didn't care to help anyone. The last two times I've been there the receptionists made snarky comments under their breath. The first time was towards a woman, and was about her medical issue, which i though was VERY rude! I could hear the comment from the waiting room next to the front desk. Yesterday the receptionist continually made comments about how i was a few minutes late, even though i had checked in online. I'm just unimpressed with the lack of customer service, an overall lack of human compassion.

Went to Urgent Care with my son and was pleasantly surprised to get a follow up call to make sure he was doing well. We were also able to get lab work done the same day.

I am so impressed to have a clinic I can count on in a time of need. I was able to see Dr Krum on short notice when I developed an infection. I was able to start medication right away that saved me a lot of discomfort. Ty Meritas!

I went to urgent care, showed up at 12:45 and only had an hour wait. I went for crippling pain in my back, neck, shoulder, arm. Day 2 I called and explained that my prescribed medication isn't touching the pain and I was told to wait another day. I can't just stay in pain I went to the doctor for relief and haven't gotten it. I probably will have relapsed by tomorrow because *hypothetically* I myself can guarantee I can find relief from some old granny's medicine cabinet. I wish I could say the same about a professional doctor. I also regret opening up closed doors because I can't find help professionally. If you are in pain DO NOT GO TO MERITAS HEALTH. Today is day 3 with zero relief. Please explain to me the "course" of the medication.

I have been seeing my doctor at this location since 2001. He is great and his nurses are very friendly and helpful. They will always call you back the same day if if you contact them before 3:00 p.m. or if you use the portal you always get a return answer the same day which is very helpful.

Wasn't told when making the appointment that I would have to pay anything before being seen, then when I got there was told that I would have to pay a minimum of $140 just to see the doctor. Wasted $20 just to get there. First and definitely last time ever going there. Gave no information prior to appointment time.

i have been a patient here for years and was very happy but my doctor retired and i have been trying to find a new one at the same clinic. Most of the reviews on the Doctors now are very mixed. After i choose a doctor several months ago (Krumm) they told me i couldn't see him and they had a list of 4 doctors to choose from that would only see patients from my doctor that retired and i ask so i don't have a Free choice of who i want to care for me and they said no but the ones they gave me didn't meet my standards by the reviews I read. Now i called again to try Dr. Krumm again and now they say he isn't accepting new patients even though their website says he is. Every question i had the office lady was rude and interrupted me at every sentence. i wanted to know if this might change and if i could get on a waiting list but she wouldn't even let me finish explaining. i was trying to inquire about another doctor i had seen over the years when my doctor was not available and once again she wouldn't let me finish my question, I am very upset and disappointed because i like the location of this clinic. I believe it is going down hill very fast. I started reading reviews on this clinic on the website and the first 10 were very bad, this is very sad to me and it seems they are not personable at all anymore. i guess i will look elsewhere for a doctor.
