Got plums from market. Best I've ever had. Firm and sweet. It's hard to get no rotten produce during this Recession. I will revisit. Plums were 4 for $1.

Great little market! Not too big, not too small. So much of the produce was priced so low it blew my mind! Lots of cool little shops to check out. I didn’t get a chance to stop in the museum but will have to if I’m ever there again visiting.

This is an amazing little city market. They have a full farmers market on the weekends and the permanent shops are available daily. There are a couple stores with self serve spice blends that allows you to taste them prior to purchasing. I would return just for them every time I visit.

SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND EXPERIENCE! I really enjoyed how lively this entire area was. The vendors included, organic foods, honey, plants, crafts, and much more. The entire complex is comprised of semi-enclosed areas, open areas, stands, etc. I experienced a street performer playing the trumpet while I was there. There is a "City Market" installation which acts as a great photo opportunity. PARKING TIP: The parking garage at the Crown Center is free on weekends and so is the nice rail ride that takes you directly to the entrance of the City Market.

LOVE the Arabia museum. Definitely worth a visit. The Market is also interesting, with a lot of unique food choices, though some of the proprietors of the permanent restaurants will close early and aren't especially thrilled to be there. The fresh offerings in the temporary booths are lovely.

Very cool place!! I couldn't see all of the businesses but it's definitely worth checking out!! Gaming section, clothing section, candy store, vintage merchandise, and restaurants. Beats the malls in Southern Illinois anyday. 5 stars!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

We were staying downtown and decided to catch the KC street car down to City Market. It was about 9am but the area was already busy with the farmer's market. Really diverse selection of vendors offering everything from jewelery to flowers to spices to tons of fresh fruit and vegetables. There was also a sidewalk art thing going on, which was amazing. Grabbed a latte and a bite to eat at the River Market Opera House. Great way to spend a morning.

Lovely place. I’m upset to hear my fave parking lot there (parking already a nightmare) gonna become more apartments!! Don’t ruin my fave place!

Very diverse market with tons of variety, including restaurants, entertainment, drinks, fresh produce, ice cream and much more. We are the Pigwich which had great BBQ sandwiches and burgers. The produce market had some great bargains including $1 vegetable bowls which included like 3-4 red peppers as an option. We came on a Monday when a lot of the places were closed. I’d say less than 20% were open on a Monday, maybe check it out mid-week or the weekend for the most variety.

Super cool farmers market right downtown. Love the revamped old structures and the new market stalls. Flowers, plants, produce, meat, donuts, spices, gems and rocks. World grocers. They have something for everyone.

It's a fun trip that offers a ton of options. Bright colors and fresh air makes you want to just wind your way through everything. You can get fresh fruit & veggies for around what you pay at the grocery store, but better quality. It's hard to find free parking so expect to spend about $15 for 3 hours.

Such an interesting store full of plants, plant accessories, yard decor, pots, souvenirs, crystals and such. It's definitely worth checking out. Their pants are all healthy, thriving and decently priced. However, they do have fungus gnats and there aren't labels on 99% of the plants. I would go and buy more plants again lol.

First time visiting this market and loved it! Didn't think I would want to buy anything, but ended up making a few purchases. Merchants were all very friendly and had a lot of great items to shop.

As a tourist I liked what was to do here, but was taken off by the small sign at entrance that said 2hr parking didn't see it, I shopped the stores here grabbed a bite to eat and hanged with family went around Market and to my surprise yes I GOT A PARKING TICKET !!! looked around where it said that we'll small sign at entrance, 😡, guess if I ever go again not parking there, avoiding that area you can't see walk around or hang out to eat it will be more than 2hrs for sure.

The small market located near the Missouri river had a few gift shops and restaurants open, but about half of the businesses have either not opened yet or closed indefinitely. Being that it was nearly lunch time, I expected a more lively crowd, but it was a Wednesday, so that wasn't the case. The market did see slightly more traffic after 12pm but nothing too exciting. I was upset about the restroom situation, I was driving around desperately looking for one. The market really only had at most 2-3 stands with fresh products and the variety wasn’t all that plentiful. One gift shop was quite interesting as it had some pretty trippy artifacts. While there wasn’t much to do, I tried to make the best of it and try a local restaurant called Daily Kitchen KC. It made up for the dull time I had at this market. The Arabia steamboat museum was a plus also.

Best city market in Kansas City! Always something to see! Great place to buy fruits and vegetables and spices! Different food from all different cultures. Great place to buy honey and fresh flowers!

I visited and bought something in City Market on April 10 2021( Saturday), around 10:30 am. but unfortunately the City Market does not have security, because a man who weared a brown jacket and had white hair, he started to followed me and my family to any place where we bought. The most suspicious was he never bought anything, I hope City Market take care and protect more the coustomers and consider the coustomers go to buy need to be safe.
