A tower to view sunset that is open only between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Entry fee of Rs.15/- per head for adults and Rs.5/- for kids. Better to go early to get a good spot to view the sunset during session time.

A must visit place! No-hindrance views of sunset. You can capture beautiful photos of the sunset. Entry fee is there. Parking might be a problem and spotting the entrance to the tower could be a problem because it is nested among shopping complexes. Visit little early to find a good spot. It's good to spend sometime until it's dark because you can clearly notice the tides' strength increasing..!

Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India's southern tip. Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It's also a noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to a consort of Shiva, and its Our Lady of Ransom Church, a center of Indian Catholicism. Kanyakumari beach is a spot where there is a Triveni Sangam / confluence/ meeting of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean. Point of Sunrise & Sunset. Notable tourist spots include its unique sunrise and sunset points, the 41-metre (133 ft) Thiruvalluvar Statue, and Vivekananda Rock Memorial off the coast. Lying at the tip of peninsular India, the town is bordered on the west, south, and east by the Laccadive Sea.Bhagavathi Amman Temple- Kanniyakuamri. Kanniyakumari derives its name from from Goddess Kanniyakumari Amman, the presiding deity of the area. The most prominent temple, the Kumari Amman, is dedicated to the goddess Parvathi as a virgin.

I recently visited View Tower in Kanyakumari, and it was a truly breathtaking experience. The panoramic view from the tower is nothing short of spectacular, offering a 360-degree view of Kanyakumari. The sight of the beautiful sea waves crashing against the shore from the tower's vantage point is mesmerizing. Additionally, being able to see the majestic Thiruvalluvar statue from there is a bonus. This place is a paradise for photography enthusiasts; you can capture stunning shots of Kanyakumari's natural beauty and landmarks. What's even more appealing is the affordability, with a ticket price of just 15₹ for adults and 5₹ for children. It's an excellent value for the amazing experience it offers. Whether you're a tourist or a local, View Tower in Kanyakumari is a must-visit destination for its outstanding views and affordability.

The Sunset View Tower in Kanyakumari offers an unparalleled view of the sun. Positioned strategically, it provides an unobstructed panorama of the sun dipping into the horizon, casting vibrant hues across the sky. The tower can be quite crowded and there is a entry fee of Rs.15 The tower is an ideal spot to enjoy the sunset

The southern most tip? The meeting of oceans? It is almost the southern most top of the Indian mainland. There is another point probably 200 metres away that might take the southern most tip phrase. The view tower is large structure with a round ramp that allows to go to the top and have a panoramic view of the shoreline. You don't see any meeting of the seas from any angle, though because of what you have read you might seem to see it. I felt driving to Dhanushkodi gives you better excitement (as its a narrow strip of land with water on both sides and it feels like lands end) than the view from the watch tower. This is not to say that the views from the watch tower are not good... They are magnificent by their own right, and during monsoon times you do feel the strength of oceans wings from top of the tower. During peak season expect crowds to be there, it doesn't take anything from the view though. It is definitely worth a one time visit.

This view tower is best place to observe sunset. Provides surreal view of sea waves and sea shore. Vivekananda rock memorial is also visible from here. Ticket charges Rs 15/- per person. Better avoid during afternoon due to hot weather. Early morning or evening is the best time to visit here. Enjoy cool breezes and pleasent view of sea waves.

We get Very close to ocean currents while reaching base of it. Ticket price is Rs 15 Not much difference in sunset view. Ocean view was good. We can re enter. There's no amenities inside. No sitting space. Walls look like village schools with 'x' loves 'y' written.

Note: We went near View Tower, not visited it. Great panoramic view. One can sit here and enjoy serene sea shore. There are benches to sit and relax. Plenty of shops available for buying things, food, drinks, etc. Public amenities available. Had to walk a little bit. We missed the ferry tickets as we reached there around 4pm. Mind that ticket counter closes at sharp 4pm and there is large queue, so if you don't want to miss it, try to visit as early as possible. It starts from 8am. For afternoon visit, better reach on or before 3pm.

The best time to visit the View Tower is in the evenings when one can enjoy the views of the setting sun on one side, and the rising moon on the other. The View Tower is located about 1.3 kilometres away from the Kanyakumari State Transport Corporation Bus Stand, and about 1.7 kilometres away from the Kanyakumari Railway Station. It is well connected by proper roads from the railway station, bus stand, and other parts of the town, and can easily be reached by hiring taxis, autos or buses.

Visiting the View Tower at Kanyakumari, which is located at the southernmost tip of India, offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean converging at a single point. The tower is located at the end of a long, picturesque pier, and offers stunning views of the sunrise and sunset over the waters. As you make your way to the top of the tower, you'll pass through several levels, each offering a unique and breathtaking view of the surroundings. On clear days, you can see the horizon stretching out to meet the sky, with the sun's rays shining down upon the sea. At the top of the tower, you'll have a 360-degree view of Kanyakumari and its surroundings, and you'll be able to see the iconic Vivekananda Memorial Rock, which sits in the middle of the ocean, as well as the neighboring island of Sri Lanka. You might also see the fishermen boats bobbing on the waves and the sea birds soaring overhead. The View Tower at Kanyakumari is a peaceful and serene place, and the views from the top are truly breathtaking. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to this beautiful part of India, a trip to the View Tower is sure to be a memorable experience.

The view tower is just one or half kilometre from the main beach. The place is good for watching sunrise and sunset both as it gives a height view. This place is little crowded sometimes.

Very high vantage point to see the ocean, but obscured view of the sunset. A huge number of people packed into a small area as well. Would not recommend for sunset, but def for normal photos.

Kanyakumari View Tower Located at the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari View Tower offers visitors an awe-inspiring experience with its breathtaking views and serene surroundings. As a popular tourist attraction, the tower provides an excellent vantage point to witness the mesmerizing confluence of the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and Bay of Bengal. One of the standout features of Kanyakumari View Tower is its spiral structure. The tower provides a safe and comfortable environment for visitors to explore and enjoy the magnificent vistas it has to offer. With its sturdy design and spacious observation deck, guests can freely move around and take in the panoramic views uninterrupted. The prime attraction of this tower is undoubtedly the enchanting sunrise and sunset view. Watching the sun paint the sky with vibrant hues as it rises or sets over the vast expanse of water is a truly unforgettable experience. The tranquility and beauty of these moments are unmatched, leaving visitors in a state of awe. Additionally, the surrounding natural landscape adds to the charm of the tower. The lush greenery, rocky shoreline, and the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial create an enticing backdrop for photography enthusiasts or those seeking a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. However, it is worth mentioning that during peak tourist seasons, the tower can get quite crowded. This may limit the time one can spend enjoying the panoramic views or taking photographs. Therefore, it is advisable to plan the visit accordingly, opting for quieter periods if possible. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and let the serenity of Kanyakumari View Tower captivate your senses.

A good view point area adjacent to Kanyakumari beach where morning sunrise from east makes this place even more beautiful. Vivekananda Rock, Thiruvalluvar statue, calm Indian Ocean, Kerala House on the north side and Kanyakumari Devi Temple are the major attractions seen from this view tower.

Not sure the tower adds anything to the experience! You do get a slightly different perspective of the islands, but it's not like the elevation let's you see anything more - all you're looking at is water to three horizons.
