This was our first luau and it definitely won’t be the last! Toa Luau was a great experience! Our 3-yr old had a great time even though it was 3.5 hours. She was bored at first but once dinner was served and the show started, she had a great time! The crew interacted with her and gave her special attention. The entire staff, cast, and crew were so welcoming and nice. My husband and I loved hearing the host speak about the history of Polynesia, its islands and its people. We were hooked! Also, the food was delicious! I wish I could have finished it! As you can see in the pictures, they give you way more than enough AND they even offered seconds (or thirds) to anyone who wanted more. I researched other luaus in Honolulu and most reviews complimented the show but complained about the food. For us, Toa Luau excelled in both the show and food! Worth the money!

This was the highlight of our Hawaiian trip. We went on Monday night 1.10.22. It is a Family ran Luau. They do a wonderful job at all aspects.. checking you in, activities to learn their traditional way of prepping the food for a hot stone cooked meal. The education of the Polynesian people through story and dance through the different islands. I would highly recommend this Luau to anyone and I would definitely come back and experience it again. Billy, our host, made us all feel like family. He even had me participate as Talking Chief Shayne. Thank You for a great time, we had so much fun learning about your culture. The food was amazing too.

What a wonderful event! I loved every minute of it. Everything was just perfect including food, learning Polynesian cultures and the natural surroundings of the luau. It’s family owned and it shows how much they care about their guests . Watching and learning the meaning of different dances was awesome! Very fun and entertaining evening . Definitely recommended. ❤️

VIP is a must try experience. We booked here because of how the reviews says so. But they didn’t failed us to show what a culture was. The word luau means "young taro tops" in Hawaiian, and this is one of the traditional foods served at a luau, usually with squid or chicken cooked in coconut milk. They start by giving us free drinks, showed us the culture of Hawaiians, presentations of cooking and everything, great dinner( probably different options next time), great shows and fire dance at the end. I really like the warm welcome and how they get to know you. The respect was there and how they treat you like family. Definitely coming back and recommended to families.

This place features a beautiful setting for their Luau. You're among nature, a waterfall (gotta hike to see it though) and greenery everywhere. Before serving food, they had interactive demonstrations on coconut carving, taro root shaving etc. The food itself was surprisingly good. When I heard it was a buffet, I was a little wary because people scoop all the good stuff and leave a mangled mess behind but this place portions and plates your serving then bring it to you. If you want more, you may request more but they will get it for you. The food itself was really good. I wasn't expecting to really enjoy the food and some places try to sell the experience more than anything else, but I loved everything they made. The performances were beautiful and it made for quite the evening. If you book one Luau, this is the place.

What an amazing experience. The great thing about this luau is the highlight cultures from all of the Polynesian islands. They incorporate the dance and the music from all of the different islands. The host was great and all of the people involved were extremely friendly and very informative. It was a great experience to involve yourself in their culture. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this luau to anybody even if you’ve done a luau it was different and unique.

We attended the Toa Luau last night & it was an awesome experience! It was our very 1st Luau ever but after watching a few YouTube videos we picked this one due to it being fairly new & family ran. This was well organized, & the show was dynamic. Food was delicious as well. The only downside was about 1 1/2 hours away from our hotel. But it was well worth the price. We had the Gold seating but to be honest all the seats had a great view!

This was such a fun experience, started off with my son and daughter learning how to peel a coconut then crack it open and shave the meet off. Next they learned how to open the local banana and peel taro root. They showed us how they climb the coconut trees and how they use them ground and rock to cook. The dinner was amazing and everyone there was so helpful and nice and genuine. They all performed a great and entertaining and enjoyable show and he even stuck around to take pictures. Worth the money for an experience my family won't forget. Thanks to everyone for the great show

I have never been to a Luau and this was my first time experience and I was just awed and amazed. Firstly it is a beautiful property - a short walk to the waterfall and then the Luau and its other cultural activities (husking a coconut, demonstration of cooking the traditional way, food, dance) all blended into a beautiful show. The food served was delicious and plenty. they even had second helpings. Five star for the whole experience. Thank you Toa Luau for sharing your culture with us :)

I’ve been to 4 other luaus, and nothing compares to the Toa Luau. Other luaus, you show up and it’s a mediocre dinner (or what they pass off as dinner) and a show. Toa has so much more - show up early and take the .75 mi walk on pavement to the waterfalls where you can actually swim over to the falls. While walking, you pass through the botanical gardens and gorgeous views of the mountains and streams. We went to the 5 pm luau and arrived at 2:30 and had more than ample time to explore. Prior to the show, they have exhibits you can partake it (coconut splitting, coconut shaving, taro peeling) among many more. The show was spectacular; great energy, lots of excitement and the emcee was funny & engaging. When dinner was served, it was ACTUALLY DINNER - pork, chicken, macaroni salad, rice, bread and coconut cake!!! The performers walked around during dinner asking how everything was; they take pride ensuring you are satisfied. I even asked for seconds on the chicken and pork and was happily provided with a huge second portion (try finding that at other luaus). Staying in Waikiki, there were many other choices closer in, however we made a whole day of visiting the North Shore and the Waimea Valley. The 5* reviews don’t lie! Definitely will be a repeat customer on our next visit to the islands.

What an incredible experience! Food was excellent, cultural activities were fun and educational and the performances of the traditional dances from five Polynesian islands were phenomenal. The MC was entertaining and kept the audience engaged. Highly recommend

There are not enough words to say how much we truly enjoyed this whole event. I took my in laws here for our joint first ever Luau on this island and we were not disappointed. This venue is beautiful. The kids enjoyed the wildlife waddling and walking around. Parking is the same as the parking for visiting the valley. Once you get to the main building head all the way to the back past the cafeteria and you'll find signs of where to go. For those attending the Luau there are restrooms for the Luau area so no need to try to line up with everyone else visiting the valley. During our visit, everyone was so delightful from check in, to teaching us about food prep, all of the history, and going on a journey through song and dance. I really appreciated how much it showed that this whole event was a true labor of love. Everyone was so warm, kind and accommodating. The emcees were funny and insightful. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. There was a little bit of everything and we were able to enjoy every bite. I remember the meat was tender and flavorful. The fruit and salad were fresh and sweet. If you are looking for a show with true value, buy your ticket to Toa Luau! I highly recommend this show from the young kids to those young at heart and everyone in between.

This was my first luau and it a was an awesome experience. I love that it's a learning experience as well as a festive one. The food and service was amazing, I had so much pork and chicken. The performances were the absolute highlight. The different types of Polynesian dance performances were captivating. Its family owned and operated and it shows with the their kindness and the care they put into this event. I highly recommend this luau and I'd love to come back.

4.9. Had an absolutely wonderful time here! The food was very good and show was very entertaining. The host was funny but also have a good presentation on Polynesian culture. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. As part of admission, we were also able to take a hike to the waterfall. It was a memorable experience and I highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Hawaii.

This was an amazing experience! Seeing how traditional food is made, the wonderful stories, and entertainment all went an extra mile. Parking was great, the food was incredible, and the drinks were all generously poured. The experience felt intimate, and was nice knowing this is owned by locals, unlike other luau’s. Definitely recommend!

My family and I had such a great time here. Got to walk through the botanical garden and go see a waterfall before the luau. All the staff was fantastic, the cultural activities before we ate were awesome, and the food was so good. The show itself was very interesting as well. Hands down we would come back and do this again! Thank you

Based on the Reviews, Toa Luau is everything we could have imagined and more. The staff and entertainers are very friendly, talented and passionate about their culture. We truly felt like family. We learned to hula, break open coconuts and make palm leaf head bands. The food was excellent as well as the service. We bought the VIP seats and it was well worth the price. Be sure to book early or you may miss out! We also visited the Waimea falls and the Botanical Garden as part of our Toa Luau package. Definitely a wonderful experience.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING WE HAVE DONE ON THE ISLAND. We went here for the Luau and it was amazing!! Huge delicious dinner and dessert, hot chocolate, they did the luau🔥 cookout with starchy bananas, the basket weaving, coconut 🥥 splitting, and then 2 hours of dancing with excellent drums. it was fabulous. The tequila drink with the homemade coconut juice was the best cocktail.

Wow!! What an amazing family experience. Our 11 and 7 year old had a blast. My wife and I had a blast. Being able to interact with the performers during welcome, the cultural skill portion, and being served made the performance so much more personal. Quality, quality, quality. Great excuse to hit the North Shore. This luau is the one to put on your list, definitely not a cattle drive of tourists. You won't be disappointed and the venue can't be beat!!!
