Such an incredible tour! Very informative on the history of this place and what they do. Highly recommend this tour. Bonus side note is that most who work here and run this place are women. We learned not only about sea salt, but Hawaiian history.

5 STARS🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I took the kids on a sunset tour here last evening. Ipo was a fabulous guide from the whole production process, to heritage, culture, marine conservation and taste testing(WOW) was an ending of a wonderful Sunday. Oh, and a little retail therapy helps😎 I will be ordering more when I go home to Michigan. My son and his fiancé just moved to Kona. I highly recommend this intimate tour. What an amazing experience that will stay with me forever. Thank you again for your kindness, experience and hard work. It was a true pleasure😎 Mahalo🙏🏻❤️

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the company and the salt making process! It was hot, so definitely bring a hat or sunscreen since you’ll be in the sun for a bit. The tasting at the end is a ton of fun!

Great tour showing you the process of harvesting sea salt from start to finish. Afterwards taste the varieties of salt and visit the shop. You can add on a foot soak at the end for $20. Candi was very knowledgeable about the farm and a great tour guide! This is a primarily woman owned & employed business and a nice way to support local small businesses.

Beautiful spectacular local grown business in Kona. Ipo our guide was so helpful and full of aloha sharing her mana’o (knowledge) with us. Got to learn about the business, the place we were at, the history of salt making and then taste all the awesome salts. Add on the foot soaks!! And breathe through the cold your body will thank you. Left there feeling grounded connected to place and so happy to support a fully locally made product. Pure hawaiian hand made salt.

Fantastic Sunset Tour at Kona Sea Salt! The Tour Guide was very informative and just an all-around great person. This place exudes Hawaiian culture, and you get to taste some amazing salt! The Hot Hawaiian Chili Pepper Salt is my favorite, but I think I'll run out of the Garlic Salt first. Don't forget to get some Magnesium while you're there, a bi-product of the salt. It is free to visit. The tour was $25 per person and very worth it.

Missed a tour, however the shop worker gave us a brief informal tour around and we absolutely loved it! Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Kona. Little shop was well designed and was able to try all the different sea salts. Definitely recommend this place (and plan accordingly beforehand).

What an amazing time we had, did the sunset tour and so happy we did. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun, she really made it enjoyable. We all felt like we went home with so much insight into the process and a much appreciation of what this company is doing. Let's not forget what a beautiful place it is and a spectacular sunset on the Kona coast.

What a great experience! The tour was great. Our tour guide was amazing even though she was just supposed to be the replacement. She told us many interesting things about the salt. The tasting after was also great, we bought a few different salts. Over all a great tour, make sure to visit if your on the island.

Our tourguide Kanekoa was great! We came in from Seattle for my girlfriend’s birthday and decided to do this tour! We recomend trying it out. They also have over 10 salt flavors to buy at the end. They let you try them with fruit and we decided to go with the Hot Hawaiian Chilli Pepper! Aloha!

Very informative tour. Watching the sea salt process, and seeing the most unique use of the deep Kona sea water pipes. Added benefit is the beach flats around the farm have incredible views.

Absolutely amazing and unforgettable; we didn't even take the tour. The staff was beyond friendly, and the taste testing of the salt was one of my wife's favorite things to do while we vacationed.

The Salt Farm tour was very educational. The attendant was very informal about the area and it’s resources. Kanekoa is very new to the team, but holds vast knowledge about hawaiian sea salt & how it’s produced. Highly recommend the afternoon tours, because morning tours are HOT!!! Stores have plenty of AC, water, carbonated water, and bathrooms for guests. *** per regarding the “one-star” negative comments. Please understand that these visitors neglected to ask specific questions in regards to salt production. Kanekoa is an exceptional guide.

Surprisingly fun! Wasn't sure when we signed up, but $20/pp for an hour of great information, a tour of how they harvest salt from special 2000ft deep waters that made it to Hawaii after 900 years, etc -- tons of fun. Low stress and relaxing. It was fun tasting all the salts with veggies and fruits at the end as well.

It was a really fun tour with great information about how sea salt is harvest. I love that they are looking to be become as sustainable as possible and are giving back to the conservation of the ocean. Our guide Kane was very sweet and passionate not only about salt but all of Hawai'i. They truly live the spirit of mālama 'āina!

Very informational tour of the salt farm. The lady that showed us around knew everything about the farm and told us all about the history of it. We got to sample all the different flavors of salt and all of them were delicious which made it hard to choose just a few to buy.

We really enjoyed learning about how the salt is produced and all the hard work that goes into it. The way everyone is working together to create a more sustainable way of living in the whole park is really cool! We also loved the salt tasting and of course got some to take home!

We loved our visit to the Kona Salt Farm! The location is gorgeous, our guide was very knowledgeable, and it was an awesome experience. Loved to see how they harvest their salt and see salt in the various stages! It was wonderful to get to try all of their salts too. Highly recommend this tour to anyone on the big island!

Very neat tour. The health benefits in their mineral water are super interesting to learn about and how they harvest. They also give back to the Marine Debris Program. We bought a variety of salts and are pleased! Recommend taking cash to tip the guide unless they add the gratuity feature at check out. Very elegant place to have a social event.

This tour was really wonderful and soothing. The location is stunning, most make an incredible event venue. Our guide was incredible and it was great to hear stories about the history of the island and of the farm. She explained why this area is so perfect for salt, and how it is farmed from start to finish. We even got to taste salt at different times in the process. The salt tasting in the shop was delicious and the foot bath was such a cool idea. Highly recommend.
