Excellent Non Veg Lunch and excellent hospitality. We a family of 4 persons went to this mess for lunch on 14th March. We felt as if we all went for a relation's feast. We had 4 meals, prawn, kadai, pepper chicken and mutton chukka. Total Bill Rs 1040. Worth paying. Mutton bone soup also given. Service by women. Excellent service. Mutton Gravy, Chicken Gravy, Crab gravy are very tasty.

Wonderful and unique experience, a must for serious foodies visiting Chettinad and Karaikudi. It’s not about good or bad, rather helps capture the essence of a region, it’s people and cuisine for the visitor. Any auto driver will take you there. Parking can be a challenge in the narrow road. Be prepared to wait, but I was lucky as a solo tourist and got to share the table with friendly locals. The atmosphere is very rushed and not for everyone. My vegetarian wife prudently avoided coming. Service was extremely friendly and lack of Tamil fluency won’t hinder you if you research in advance. Coming to the food 😁- I ordered the non veg meal with fish fry and mutton sukka. A couple of tasty veggies were served with rice, plantain and eggplant, on a banana leaf. Curries were served, one at a time. I got the mutton, chicken, crab and fish. All were excellent and had distinct flavor, full of the spices the region is famous for. The fish fry and sukka came separately. Total came to Rs 360/. A truly memorable experience.

Highly recommended for non veg meals in Karaikudi but the quality and flavor has decreased in the past few years. Service was amazing but the flavors and taste of the different curries and side dishes was very similar. The Crab curry and fish fry was really good but the other dishes fell short of expectations

Got a chance to taste the real flavour of chettinad varieties in this hotel. The way of serving the customers is also very good. Parking facility also available.Only one concern is to avoid the crowd outside the hotel if there is waiting hall it would be helpful for the people out there.

Chettinad cuisine is perhaps the most renowned fare in the Tamil Nadu repertoire. It uses a variety of spices and the dishes are made with fresh ground masalas. Chettiars also use a variety of sun-dried meats and salted vegetables, reflecting the dry environment of the region. Most of the dishes are eaten with rice and rice based accompaniments such as dosas, appams, idiyappams, adais and idlis. The Chettiars, through their mercantile contacts with Burma, learnt to prepare a type of rice pudding made with sticky red rice. The chefs of manapatti village near singampuneri are experts in cooking chettinad cuisine. They always used to cook in bulk orders for marriage functions, political functions, e.t.c.[8] though manapatti cooking is portrayed as madurai cuisine because it is located near to madurai district, it comes under chettinad cuisine only and it also comes under the chettinad region of sivagangai district. The entire village people is famous in the art of cooking.

My rating is 3.75 because of rabbit fry. Non veg meals tasted awesome. Nattu kozhi chicken gravy, chettinad chicken gravy, mutton gravy, crab gravy, mutton bone soup, fish kolambu, rasam , butter milk everything was really good. The side dish mutton fry and fish fry was too good. Rabbit fry worst ever tasted very very hard to eat. Service was nice. 10 rs beeda and 30 blueberry goli soda was too good. A major negative is rabbit fry.

OMG 😮 Hot home cooked food served with a variety of Non vegetarian curries and side dishes . Opened only from 12pm to 4pm . Since its always crowded you might have to wait for your turn . But worth the wait 😉🤩🤩

It is a small shop still the food varieties are more. We ordered pepper chicken gravy, mutton chukka and prawns, however, gravies are already added to non veg meals. The waiters there serve more food and the hospitality is also good. There is crowd but the customers are fast moving so it feels good to have great food with satisfaction. They have all kind of nonveg items available here. Car parking is also there. The price is total worth it. Would certainly recommend it.

If the food is wonderful the atmosphere will be less . The service is wonderful they have verity of gravy option the gravy is very thick and nattu koli fry and mutton fry must try . Only if v go by 12pm only we try all there dishes after that is over crowded . Parking No problem but getting to this shop is very narrow road . The cost is very cheap when compared to city hotels .
