This is probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants for Chettinad specialties in Karaikudi. My friend who lives in Karaikudi brought us here. It was worth the visit! The restaurant is not too big but the heritage look and styling is very attractive. We had Uppu Kozkukkattai, Vella Paniyaram, Kuzhi paniyaram, Idiyappam etc and all the dishes were very tasty. Some snacks and savoury items are also available to buy and take home.

Perhaps the best authentic rice set I had in India. They have moved to a new location, and it was pleasant and picture-worthy. The flavours are authentic and the sides are generous, you get unlimited refill. Loved the carrot halwa. Service was good and proper parking spaces available. If you are looking for proper Chettinad meals, don't miss this place.

We went for lunch. The meals they served were too good. Sambar was too good. Starters were too good. The spices they use had good aroma. They served authentic chettinad dishes. They have decent car parking. Weekends are mostly crowded. Price is reasonable for the quantity they serve. Ambiance is good. Service was good and fast enough. Goli soda is a must try at the end. Overall a good place to have lunch.

Taste will be great in this place, especially breakfast. Their Pongal, Dosa, Sambar, Chutney are delicious. But when it comes to service it's next to nothing. We had to request them multiple times even for cleaning our table and sambar chutney refill. They have just two waiters here, they couldn't handle when the restaurant is 70% occupied. Avoid ordering onion uthappam in this restaurant, they are stingy with the amount of onion they put in onion uthappam.

One of the best traditional vegetarian flare in Karaikudi hands down. This is a must try restaurant and shoukd definitely be on your list to eat in Karaikudi. Service and food is amazing here and very very economical. We not only ate there but we bought some snacks for our road trip as well. The snacks are even better, I don't have words to describe and I don't think they will do justice to the taste and experience you will enjoy at this place. Please get there hungry and you will not regret it any bit.

Once, a very good hotel. Now also, it is able to withstand the taste. But, the hotel atmosphere doesn't look pleasing. They can improve their interiors. And Their taste during 2010s were actually golden! My family prefers Annalakshmi when compared with other hotels those days. Those glorious name should come back - For that, they should definitely improve interiors, food taste.

Food is excellent.The cashier Sittsabhesabesan is awfully rude and grumpy. Every time after a tasty food he used rude words on customers. Today when picked a murukku packet and gave 500rs.he literally grabbed the packet threw it as he cannot give change a second time.Pls.ack.and rattify as i am a frequent visitor for the good food ,always hoping this grumpy fellow is not there.Today is the ultimate.Nearing 69 i am thinking of going to consumers for impinging on a lady rudely in a crowded place.

The restaurant is always overcrowded, the meals is the most selling dish and everyone wants it. When I went there was no place to sit and no one was attending us or guiding us, I was clueless and waiting for someone to finish apparently people who came after me knows this place well and they went behind the chair and took those seats as when people start finishing. Apparently then I also stood behind a chair and took which was the only way to get seats with the amount of crowd. The food was good but if you are concerned about the pandameic and less crowd might not be the best place for you.

Worst food ever. Completely disappointed. Not authentic. Even the payasam had some artificial essence. Spoiled our day. Please save your day by not visiting.

It is an average restaurant, but fine compared to other restaurants in terms of parking space, sitting area and toilet. We visited by 9.30 Am . They had 3 options: idli, poori, dosas. Idli was good even though it was not hot. Poori sagu was nice. But rava dosa was not upto the mark. It felt like instant rava dosa. Pro: cost effective prices👍

This hotel is attached to Hotel Golden Singhar. Since this hotel food and particularly chittinad snacks like Muruku/ thenkullal/ Atirasam are good. I prefer to stay at hotel b'cus of " Karaikudi Annalakshmi". Having appreciate you I wish to continue the same taste and efforts.

We came as 6 people from long distance we ate dosa, pongal , idli and vadai in the morning.. Every single dish was extremely awesome. Giving the fivth star for the maintenance of the hotel and neat restroom facility.

It is a hotel only for DOSA varaity, not for any other breakfast. Even if you go at morning 8.30 am they say only Dosa is available nothing else this is happened to me every time i went there 6/7 times in the last 3 months every time it happrnd to me. they can very well change the hotel name as karaikudi annalakshmi Dosa hotel. Insteaded of the present name .The management should look in to this . Do the needful.

Although the food is good when compared other hotels. Still need to maintain a lot for toilets and handwash area in the hotel. Giving tips is not mandatory, but if the tips not given to servers they wont even ask you what do want have when we visit the hotel next time and servers are also very limited.

Good customer service, best price, food quality is super

The take away is very bad. They have billed an item and haven't packed it. Sometimes this happens. But when it was asked the lady in the counter gave said that it is not their responsibility to check the items. This was the worst experience. Also, ordering food over phone is an horrible experience. They never give a good reply nor answer the phone directly. The hotel has now lost its charm.

Homely, hygienic, steamed food. Would love to see more millets and traditional dishes. Their veg omlette is a must to try in the evening.

Highly recommend by localities. Decent place for Tamil nadu style lunch. Small place but on the main road and town. Can visit once.

Good option for dine in or take out. We bought biryani dishes for lunch and dosa varieties for dinner. Both main dishes tasted good, side dishes are average.

Awesome lunch! I was left stranded with four hungry souls - due to a miscalculation in timing when we were sightseeing. I called up the hotel (through Google Maps) and one Mr. Hari picked up my call. After listening to my plight, he assured he will keep 5 meals and we can come in anytime. When we reach, everything was over but thanks to Hari, they had kept our meals ready. So at the outset...a Very Special Thanks Hari. We had Special Meals - everything was very tasty and the waiter was very courteous (am sure it must have been the end of his shift) in serving us whatever we wanted. He also explained the dishes. Overall was very happy in terms of both the experience and taste of food. Keep it up, Annalakshmi and Hari!

We went there after seeing reviews. Meals not good. Not worth for rs 90 I found the atmosphere itself is not as per reviews and made me to think management are money minded and managers not customer facing

One of Karaikudi's popular and tasty vegetarian restaurant. Offers tasty, variety food with Chettinad tradition. Also has branches in Chennai and Pillaiyarpatti too. Good hygiene is maintained. Attracts family crowd. Good one. Located just half a kilometre from the bus stand on 100 feet road towards Periyar statue.
