This is simply THE BEST Tamil non-Chettinad vegetarian food. Food Quality Food was really fantastic!!! The chilli prata and fried rice were really amazing. Service The waiter who took our order was professional. We asked him what they have and he said "everything". We thought he was jesting but whatever we wanted, they indeed had the dishes! We were in a rush and were wondering if the food would come late but to our great surprise, all items we ordered arrived within 5 minutes. I am sure they were not pre-cooked as the ghee dosa was hot and crispy. However, they had no hot drinks like coffee and tea.

Their Parotta kuruma is very famous for decades and for 3- 4 generations. Other tasty tiffen are offered here.

Hotel which is 58 years old even though it their new branch, the taste,quality and quantity was never compromised till now. But the only thing which I get disappointed is they changed the way of serving before they used to freshly prepare food items.but nowadays they are having a readymade cooking system, which I think as a negative when compared to the old days.

Wonderful and Awesome Veg restaurant. We were group of ten people.. enjoyed best vegetarian dishes in this region. All were classic. Prices were affordable too. You need to come with open mind and explore all the dishes right from soup,starters, main dishes..Mushroom dishes and Paneer dishes are must try..

I bet we will not get tasty authentic chettinad food for cheap price. Can't believe I had idiyappam, garlic dosa and single paritta with 4 chutney and sambar for Rs 120

A nostalgic experience from my childhood. A hotel which I always visit with my family. The ambiance is good. A good vegetarian stop next to Pandian Theatre. The soft parota and the tasty gravy is the USP of the shop. The shop has transformed it's dinning area over the years.

This restaurant boasts impressive 4-star food that left me thoroughly satisfied. The flavors were rich and the presentation was exquisite. However, the service was a bit lacking, with occasional delays and less attentive staff. The atmosphere was decent, but it didn't quite match the quality of the food. Overall, a solid culinary experience with room for improvement in service and ambiance.

Simple, neat, hygienic spacious, airy place, tasty food. Hot paratha, vegetable onion podi ghee dosa was awesome. Nice ice cream at last! Treat for vegetarians

No A/C hall Or room. Always noisy atmosphere. But taste is good. Affordable rate. Evening you will get karaikudi special snacks like vellai paniyaram with spicy chatni and kandhar appam.

We went there in the evening for their Chettinad special snacks, unfortunately it's just after Diwali and they weren't serving it that day. Will be going again there for that. But since we are there we tried their other best items. idly, parotta, idiyappam were the highlights. The chutneys and condiments were so good, we kept asking for more. Their staff were more courteous, crowd is more even around 6 30 in the evening. Though the ambiance is not pleasing the food compensates.

Worst behavior by the server. He wanted tips. I did not give the money so he didn't give the bill to me and he came along me to manager and gave bill to him No price list When i get side dish curry they gave full serve size curry which can eatable by 3 or 4 persons worst experience 😡

One of the recomendable in karaikudi for breakfast lunch and dinner there is no meals during lunch but even the variety rices were better try to avoid chapathi it was only a below average You Must try panneer tikka this is the only veg sydish i have tasted in my life with extraordinary tatse so try it Veg biryani during lunch was also a must try dish

Their curry dishes are awesome but I would suggest not to order kothu porotta as it is cut evenly in large pieces instead of kottu (minced/shredded). The other dishes which I tried are rava dosa, plain dosa and naan which were upto the mark and delicious Overall I would go again for their authentic masala taste and vegetarian varieties

We went in not expecting much because we felt it was super crowded. But my god!!! The food was incredible! Every dish we ordered was amazing. Especially the paneer Tikka. But it's hard to pick a favorite. If your in the area, this place is a must try.

You can get vegetarian foods there non veg is not available ....but you can try for a time in Karaikudi dishes like panner tikka ☺️ panner butter masala with chapathi , parotta are available.

Restaurant for all I would say for it's reasonable price and quality. Experienced waiters who are well aware of how to deal with customers and following waiters etiquette. Felt home away from home because of experience waiter's hospitatily. Plain parota and naan varieties if you wanna try - this is the best place for you. No restaurant can beat president's parota in Karaikudi. Usually I try butter naan herd. It's better comparatively than other restaurants. Gravy was good earlier but nowadays it's average. Need to improve. Also, for lunch Veg biriyani in 35 bucks with decent quality is unbelievable. Reducing one star for gravy. I will come and try again. If improved, I will update to 5 star.
