    It is an island. There are lot of hindu temple. Elathu sithamparam is famous temple in jaffna. There are two beaches one of them is the famous casurina beach and other one is kovalam beach. There is oldest light house and mini port. the light house was built by england. Other special is mini port its surrounding by sea. Mini port has hotel for tourists

    An island sourrended by sea. This village have a good beach namely as Casurina Beach. Famous Hindu temples are situated in this village. DS Division is Karainagar. Police Division is Kayts. Electoral Division is Vaddukkoddai.
