This was our first time staying at the Baron Karbala, it was pleasant experience, hotel is quite clean, meals have loads of varieties, staff quite friendly and helpful. We loved the 24 hours shuttle service to the imam, the drivers were friendly and informative, one of them spoke about the history of the places as we drove by and this has add another value to our experience ,we suggest to encourage the other drivers to explain the history to the tourists during the journey . We will stay again at the hotel in the future inshalah.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is beautiful, kept very clean and the beds are so comfortable! All the employees are friendly and accommodating specially (SARA) I'd definitely recommend. Thank you, the Baron Hotel.

Overall an amazing hotel, lovely to experience professionalism whilst visiting the Ahlulbayt as. Things I want to point out, 1. The bathrooms need to be equipped with better ventilation and more maintenance quality control of walls, silicone, etc. (Slow ventilation) 2. Food quality of restaurants needs to be addressed. I think the focus is more on the service than the food itself which is the main point in a restaurant, also, if people are eating, you don’t need to walk up and down next to them, find something else to do. However, inside the actual hotel, the breakfast is perfect and will compete with other international hotels, the morning chefs are very welcoming. Another thing, is for reception to understand that some tourists aren’t easily able to source taxis especially if they are staying at a 5 star hotel, if they need one, please organise one for them like every other hotel, and do not ask them to go find one in the street. The shutter bus drivers need to stick to their timing and not make anyone wait more than they should. 80% of the time they’re on the ball. These things are said only for the hotel to be better and better , not to discourage them or anyone coming to this hotel. I believe it’s the no.1 hotel in Iraq easily. I look forward to seeing it become much better and raising the standards for other hotels for the pilgrims.

Quite place , charming gardens with good facilities but something happened with my kids spoild our vacation they used to bring and ride thier scooter and bike inthe hotel gardens this time the guards prevent them playing in gardens when we ask them about reasons they told us that the management changed and this our new rules.

Nice hotel, 5 min to Al Hussain ع by hotel's bus every 30 min. There is huge landscape within the hotel area , big indoor swimming pool , 2-3 restaurants providing hookah their staff were helpful too.

They harassed me at the check out for having one of their disposable towels in my bag which were used thousands of times but other than that service is great but I wouldn’t suggest anyone to spend their honeymoon at it.

Luxury hotel in a gated area. There is a shuttle bus to and from the shrines. Continental buffet breakfast was outstanding and started at 6:30am. Clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is polite and speaks many languages including English. There are many amenities, restaurants, and lounge areas. They even gave us truffles upon our arrival. Each room has its own temperature control and a kettle with coffee mugs. They also provide water bottles. Other than road traffic outside, the place is very quiet. Good to relax and rest. The home guide in the rooms is very outdated, but still shows what is available. The bathroom even has dental kits in case you forgot your toothbrush.

A top notch western style hotel with a buffet restaurant, room service and pool. They have a regular shuttle to the holy shrines in Karbala. It takes only 10-15 minutes and the shuttle was found to be very reliable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a few issues checking in but the management went out of the way to make sure we were taken care of. Definitely recommend if you are coming for a visit.

‏The words can not explain how fabulous this hotel is. Apart from facilities and house keeping, it was the staff who has made the hotel special. I have been around the worlds staying in different 5*s however, Baron was up above what I could imagine. ‏The manager agreed one of the very amazing lady staff name Deborah to babysit my kids in our room while I can peacefully go to shrine. A guy in restaurant name Ali took my little one in the pushchair walking her around while I can peacefully eat my lunch. Receptionist name Noor paid my taxi from his pocket as I had left my purse at room. A very warm welcome from Hassan receptionist, Mr Hanif in the restaurant and all other staff that I don’t remember their names in this hotel that I already miss them...I will 100% recommend the hotel and I will back there again.

Excellent hotel, great staff and equally great service. Very polite, helpful team of people. Enjoyed the food specially prepared for our group by chef hussain. However if you are going purely for the purpose of ziyarah you may not want to depend on the shuttle service provided and want to stay closer to the Haram(Shrine). If you are OK with the shuttle service it's indeed the best place to stay.

Cons: Their reservation staff sometimes behave very tricky. If they think they're going to have a high demand, they'd increase the price on the spot (gave me two quotes with 20% difference in only 1 hour). If you complain, they'd say "this is what it is" ", and then, are not going to answer your calls to their front desk. If the room has a fundamental issue, like a problem in bathroom draining, instead of changing your room, they'd say "all of our rooms are like this". You tell them your ideal room and they'd say "we have it", but when you check in you'll see its not what you said you want, and they'd say, "all of our rooms with your preferences are like this". I even asked them to be nicer to us so that I don't have to write them a bad review, but their night manager said "this is what it is" and left the conversation. The only reason I stayed here was that I needed a stable wifi and electricity to not miss my Zoom meetings. Can't wait to see Reyhaneh Rottana is open again. Pros: Their maintenance staff and day managers are very nice though. Also they have good restaurants and outdoor space. Their shuttle drivers are very professional and polite as well. Lobby is beautiful and always smells good. Breakfast is very good with many options.

The Baron is only 5 star hotel in Karbala unfortunately . It is spotless and the service is great. Food is spread over cuisines of different countries. I gave it 3 stars because I felt insulted at the dining hall as the receptionist only came up to me and asked me my room number. If she had asked everyone that entered, it would be fine. Five star hotels go out of their way to make sure guests feel welcome and special . I felt embarrassed as I was the only person she asked as if I had crashed into the dining hall to get a free meal. Bad practice Baron! Please make it general for everyone that enters the dining hall to give their room number before being seated. Please don’t single out people to check because I was told I looked doubtful ! I belong to the Taj loyalty program. Always enjoy visiting a Taj property and being treated like a star. Please learn from Taj how to behave with your guests.

Best hotel in karbala.they have shuttle service for haramain 24/7 which operates every 30 minutes.hotel staff is extremely nice.there are some good cafe and restaurant inside hotel property. Now the cons,they are claiming to be five star but unfortunately their level of hospitality depends on who you are.they charged us for all amenities but we got the room without airconditioning.when I complained at reception that our room is so warm,I was told that airconditioning is off for entire building because of cold weather even I noticed that lobby area was cold enough.they sent a guy to open the window for us.we stayed for five days without Air conditioning.then we travelled for a day and came back.this time we got a different room and to our surprise this room had Air conditioning and thermostat was functional too.when I asked a gentleman from management he said that we are running some floors with Air conditioning and some without.what a joke you are charging every guest the same and you are offering people of your choice the Air conditioned rooms? It is so disappointing.

The hotel is far from Haram. The shuttle is not punctual so the time you spend on waiting on the shuttles is not worth it for me. You can't control your rooms thermostat, in this day and age and times when a 5 star hotel tells you that the thermostat for whole floor is controlled by hotel management, it is ridiculous and they are least helpful folks in general. Always am excuse why guests can't do what they want to do. Times listed on the website /communication by hotel for lunch dinner and breakfast at off by half hour. They are just an unorganized hotel in my opinion and masking it with 20 plus dishes on the menu is not going to impress me. This is not very ziarat friendly hotel. They cater to the delegates and elites who come to do ziarat for the sake of checking off the box and for them it's possibly good but this hotel lacked humbleness, professionalism and most of all the ease for zair of imam Hussain when and where it matters. It would really have to be the last hotel in karbala for me to entertain the idea of staying there ever again.

I stayed in Baron in aug 2021 for Ashura and had amazing service from every staff . They go out of their way to accommodate your needs . Food was great and fresh . Receptionist were very polite , supportive and looked after us extremely well even if we asked for help in the early mornings of the night . I would definitely recommend this place and their shuttle service is very efficient too .

The entire experience at this hotel was amazing. We went during the Arbaeen season and the hotel rooms were clean, the staff were absolutely lovely. The atmosphere was safe and welcoming we went with two very small kids and 13 others. The food was delicious and hygienic! I loved the desserts! During our stay there were also events within the hotel such as lectures(Majalis) which we were informed of. There was a shuttle service every 30 mins for 24 hours a day and it ran from the hotel directly to the Shrine of Imam Hussain(as) there were clear collection points from which you could get the shuttle and get straight back to the hotel. This was convenient for both elderly young and everyone in between. We had no issues during our stay. There was even convenience for wheelchair users and strollers. We coordinated with Mr Tufeyl Akber and his colleagues and honestly I couldn’t have asked for more. If we are lucky enough to ever return to karbala we would most definitely stay here.

Easily the best hotel in the holy city of Karbala-e-Mualla that offers state-of-the-art facilities to guests. The fact that the hotel is situated close to the shrines of Imam Hussain (AS) and Ghazi Abbas Alamdar (AS) with a shuttle service that takes to you the doorstep of these shrines after every 30 minutes and selected rooms on the top floors offering a decent view of the shrines from window only adds to the attraction. The price is slightly on the higher side but quality food and extremely gracious staff make up for this.

The hotel is ideally located at a short distance from the Haram of Hazrat Imam Hussain.. there is regular shuttle service to the haram as well as to other market places. The staff is very polite and gives you a personalized service.. They understand English as well as other regional languages. The food is excellent with a lot of variety.. The place is clean and matches 5 star hotels in the west. The room service is very efficient with services like laundry and changing bedsheets, towels daily. Highly recommended.

They organized our visa to Iraq, airport pickup, drop and Ziyarat to Kazmain, Samarra, Najaf, Kufa & Karbay. Arrangement were excellent. Stay at Baron Karbala was very comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. Food was good. Overall excellent!

At the beginning it was great and I had a good time there but once I have checked out , I wanted to use the bus to go to haram and they said you are not allowed to take your luggage in our bus and I was very disappointed then I have asked the reception to please call a taxi for me and she said we don’t have a taxi here and you need to go outside on the other side of the road to get a taxi. It was very disappointed and The stuff specially that girl on reception area needs training to work for a 5 star hotel, not be able to get a taxi for customers I don’t think this hotel can be classified as a 5 star hotel.
