Wonderful place to spend few hours with friends and family. The blue sparkling water soothes the eyes and ignite the emotions, visiting such place will definitely eases your tensions. I have been here once for the fishing with my sons and a friend of mine. We could catch more than 20 kg of different varieties of fishes, the weather was very dry and harsh which could make your skin to go black in couple of hours, so please apply sunscreen before you spend hours for fishing here.

Nice place to visit around karimnagar. Good place to bring kids to enjoy the water, go boating, and relax. Driving on the banks of the dam and enjoying the cool breeze flowing in, gives goose bumps.

It's a beautiful place. Very serene and calm. Good for family outings or hanging out with friends. Accessible by car all the way up to the gate. Just a bit disappointed to see some garbage strewn about. Needs a bit of maintenance to be a top notch tourist spot.

Lower Manair Dam also known as LMD was constructed across the Manair River, at Alugunur village, Thimmapur mandal, Karimnagar District, in the Indian state of Telangana during 1974 to 1985. It provides irrigation to a gross command area of 163,000 hectares. A balancing reservoir, the Mid Manair Dam was initiated as part of SRSP stage-2, for which the foundation stone was laid by former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao in 1991. However, its construction was completed as recently as in April 2018. The water source for the project is the Manair river in Manwada.
