A very old temple in outskirts of Karur town in Thanthonimalai. Yearly festival happening in the month of Maasi. You have to use about 20 stairs/steps to reach the top. I think no wheelchair access to the moolasthanam

It was a good experience. There were two types of entry one is normal and free and the other one is paid it of rupees 50. In that steps are really nice it ll be easy for older age people. For older age people please prefer that. They are maintaining social distancing and covid 19 safety measures. It is good to see.

Thanthonrimalai sri kalyana venkatesa perumal temple is a nice vaishnava temple, of many years of origin, situated on a small hillock with neatly protected and maintained steps and lift facility also for the aged and needy people. The archakaas do their job sincerely with true devotion and the temple staff extend friendly support to the visitors. A good temple.

Temple History: A devotee Susharma by name was proceeding to Tirupathi with his wife seeking child boon and stayed on the banks of Cauvery for a break. Sage Naradha appeared in his dream and directed him to go to a place called Tirumakudalur where some would receive him. When Susharma reached the place, some sculptors received him and took him to this place. There appeared a bright light on a rock. The rock split. Perumal appeared from the gap and granted the boon sought by the devotee and chose to stay for every here for the benefit of devotees. It is also said that this is the place where a bit of Tiruvengada hill fell during a contest between Vayu and Adhisesha. 👉TRAVEL : 24*7 BUS AVAILABLE THIS PLACE. 👉BUS TRICHY TO KARUR & MINI BUS 4KM TO REACH THE PLACE. 👉ENTRANCE TO 4OOM REACH THE TEMPLE. 👉FRIST APPEARANCE HUMAN STATUE. 👉30 STEP'S TO VISIT LORD SANCTUARY. 👉PERUMAL SCULPTURE DIVINE WORTH TO VISIT. 👉MOST VISIT WOODEN CRAFTED SHOWCASED. 👉ROOF PAINTING ALSO EXCELLENT. 👉BACK TO VISIT THAPAKULAM. OVERALL I RECOMMENDED ADVENTURE LOVER VISIT THURAIYUR PERUMAL TEMPLE. AND THEN SIRRANGAM, UTHAMARKOVIL, THANTHODRIYA MALAI.

Good darshan of the Lord Kalynana Venkatramana. Fairly well maintained. But on the day I visited, it was very hit day but AC was not working where devotees stand for darshan and air circulation was not there - felt stuffy and hot. They should maintain AC in good condition.

The god's idol stands tall and you need to climb 30-40 stairs to reach the garbagraham , very much showing his presence and heard that elevator service was available for those who cannot climb the stairs.. it was very good to know

Peaceful temple. The idol is different from the usual Balaji idols 🙏 but it makes no difference in the serene feeling on visit. There are steps to take to reach the main sanctum. It's a big complex which is well maintained. I usually visit around 7 pm for the arti and have prasadam it's very peaceful. Normal sevas are available throughout and people around are helpful.

This is our Kuladeivam deity. Annual visit is a must for our Family and it happened in May this year. Very calm and well maintained temple. The Goshala here is a must stop spot for our daughter. An early morning darshan with less crowd, allowing me a few minutes of Dhyanam was super charging. Will have fond memories for sure...until the next visit .

A nice temple of Lord Vishnu and probably in the outskirts of the city. Did not find the temple maintained well. You will have to climb up the 20 stairs for the darshan of Lord Vishnu. The sanctum Santorum was not lit at all and visibility was very poor. Wonder if there's a practical reason for them to keep it that way but is a total dissapointment for devotees as they cannot have a proper darshan. One thing different here was the Lord looked different here with big eyes with a small tilak.

A must visit place for people with religious beliefs. Temple reverberate with religious fervour and one gets to experience a divine feeling. The place has a good parking area. Temple is provided with lift for people having difficulty in climbing. Wheelchair available on request.

Very old and famous Vishnu temple in karur. Situated in Thanthonimalai. The temple is in a small hill and it has a small pond in front of it. This is famous in purattasi month where it is filled with devotees on all Saturdays. A very good spiritual temple within karur.

Nice temple. Must visit in Karur. Since the God statue is very tall, it's a feast for our eyes to watch abishekam and aaradhana. Usually Abishekam at noon

Temple on top of a tiny hill - only a few steps to go up. Now they've installed a lift for those who can't climb the staircase. Ample parking space and the temple is well maintained.
