The front desk staff are the worst that i have ever met in Japan. 1. When I arrived, there was no one at the entrance to assist with my luggage bags. 2. When I finally arrived the front desk, both staff did not even bother to try to help. 3. The next morning, i went back to the front desk and there was, again, no one at the front desk. 4. After calling aloud, a lady responded with a sound. But she did not walk out to the front desk. 5. I had to call for her again. Then she slowly strolled to the front desk. She was also very unwelcoming and unfriendly. There was very little attempt to try to help me with my question. 6. I also don’t understand why, the upper terrace, which is a public area, is open from 11am (and not earlier, for the sunrise). The only attraction of this hotel is the view of Mt Fuji (especially sunrise). But they don’t allow guests to the upper terrace. 7. Overall, I think the management needs to spend more time improving the customer’s experience. Poor service. Unthoughtful experience. It is such a pity and a huge disappointment!

View was spectacular and the room was clean. Their complimentary drip coffee were also pretty great. However, that’s where the compliment stops. The entire staff faculty were the least friendly crew I’ve experienced in Japan. From the front desk to the person who showed us to our room were showing us attitude, appearing superior. The only hotel staff who was nice and welcoming was the shuttle bus driver! He’s the only one that showed the Japanese standard of hospitality and professionalism

We didn't stay at the hotel but had lunch at one of the restaurants. The hotel offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji from its vast gardens. I heard they used to have 18 holes golf course but gave up 9 holes and turned it into beautiful gardens on the hotel grounds. Will def want to spend the night there next time!

Only came here for a full course lunch, but the location and views were amazing! Unfortunately, Fuji san was hiding. The food and sake were also outstanding. Beautiful gem in Japan.

The room is so amazing. I can see the beautiful view in the morning even at night. Besides, I am vegetarian without eating onion and garlic etc. When I ask them for vegetarian dinner, they are so courteous and really help me to successfully have my delicious dinner.

The hotel was absolutely so beautiful and pleasing. We had breakfast and dinner there and they were both very delicious. We could also see the Mount Fuji from our window. The hotel also have this 2~2 1/5 floor window at the The Terrace restaurant where you can enjoy your meal while look at the Mount Fuji. My family and I were so beyond happy so we are already planning on our next trip there!

this is a very lovely hotel, i'm sure anyone staying here wouldn't be disappointed. it's spacious, bright, modern, beautiful and having an excellent scenic view. once stepped into it, i was stunned by the large lobby with fully bright huge window looking at a big piece of grassland and the distant view of the city. we got the same view at the hotel room but never be bored. the room was big and clean, spacious bathroom and well equipped. we had a very good rest here. parking lot available, could tell it's quite hard to access without driving. but once we're in, we wouldn't want to get out again, just stay inside the premises and enjoy its facilities. *Note: found many of the photos that i uploaded, Google couldn't save it and it's gone from the post. Sorry readers.

They remodeled a few years ago and the views are spectacular. The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great happy hour in the lounge with an amazing view of Mt Fuji. The photos are the view from our room.

I have very good time in this hotel even it was only 1 night here. The view of Fuji mountain is amazing you cannot find something like this in Japan for sure. The best hotel in Japan so far for the view of mountain Fuji as the hotel is situated in the top of the hill view the view of Shimizu, Shizuoka city down below. recommend to choose the room with view of Fuji since the room on opposite site you can see nothing. There are 2 main restaurants for western and Japanese style. We enjoy Japanese restaurant as the full course served. I If you lucky enough you can see the mount Fuji clearly from here. The top terrace and bar is also recommend. The hotel has no onsen but who's care just enjoy the beautiful view ! I will be back again for sure.

Amazing service and care. The staff pay great attention to details. My friends and I sat together for breakfast and one of my friends didn't have cutlery. Before he got up to get some, a waiter had them ready for him. Also the view of My Fuji is fantastic. I've never seen it from the other side of Tokyo. It's a completely different look. Highly recommended!

Best hotel hands down in the local area. Great views of Shizuoka city and Mount Fuji because the hotel sits on top of a plateau. Great dining options within the hotel. Three minute drive to Nihondaira observation deck - with more views of Mount Fuji.

We have stayed here several times and will keep coming back. Beautiful and serene location with elegant design and fantastic service. Both the western and Japanese style rooms are excellent and sizable. This is a must-see property.

The location is a bit far from sizuoka st. But worth it to visit. It has a really nice landscaping and they sell an afternoon tea set, but the line was long so I gave up

The hotel is located on a hill top, built on what looks like a golf course. This offers a superb view of the port town of Shimizu, and on a clear day you can even see Mount Fuji. The hotel is designed with the view in mind, with the rooms having large windows to allow visitors to savour the view. Hotel is very new with a modern design. Great place to relax!
