We
had
a
memorable
introduction
to
the
old
Tsukiji
Market
with
Nao
and
Rina.
They
provided
many
interesting
bits
of
information
that
we
didnt
know,
brought
us
to
a
variety
of
shops
selling
different
items,
took
our
requests
for
certain
foods
into
consideration
and
brought
us
to
the
relevant
shops,
brought
us
to
a
hole-in-the
wall,
very
local,
sushi
lunch
eatery
and
helped
us
order
the
freshest
bowls.
Rina
took
beautiful
photos
for
us
and
sent
them
to
us
thru
her
phone
-
giving
us
great
mementos
of
the
trip
(which
we
long
to
make
again
but
who
knows
when
that
will
be
now...?)
Nao,
who
became
a
guide
after
corporate
retirement,
shared
his
interesting
life
and
experience.
Both
guides
were
comfortable
enough
to
share
about
their
backgrounds
and
family
life
with
us.
As
foreigners,
we
felt
that
we
were
making
friends
with
local
Japanese
people
(who
spoke
marvellous
English)
and
were
given
a
small
glimpse
of
their
Japanese
life.
That
sweetened
the
experience
of
our
trip.
On
a
short,
itinerary
packed,
self
planned
trip
like
ours,
we
do
not
usually
get
to
meet
and
talk
extensively
with
locals.
I
am
so
glad
we
booked
this
tour
because
our
2
children
got
the
opportunity
to
have
a
one-on-one
encounter
with
local
Japanese
people.
Arigato!
I
only
wish
the
tour
was
longer
and
we
could
skip
the
lunch
place
(which
was
fantastic
but
filled
our
tummies
for
other
delicacies)and
just
buy
and
taste
various
seafood,
beef,
egg
rolls,
desserts,
fruit,
tea,
ice
cream,
sake
etc
etc
ALL
OVER
the
market!
It
was
a
little
sad
to
say
goodbye
to
Nao
and
Rina
at
the
end
of
the
short
tour.
We
wish
them
and
their
families
the
very
best,
to
emerge
stronger
through
this
difficult
time
and
hope
to
see
them
again
when
we
book
the
next
Magical
Trip!
Ganbatte!
