⛩️😌It is a beautiful temple and a beautiful pagoda. However, there are posters that you cannot photograph, but all visitors photograph 📸only the exterior. Well, most temples in Japan and around the world are only used to earn money💰😣 from funerals🪦⚰️, events and the sale of amulets. Unfortunately, people are not concerned with spirituality 📿but with making financial profits.📿🙏

This is a famous spot for weeping cherry blossoms in Saitama City. When I went there on March 28, 2022, it was in full bloom.

Although it is said to have been founded by Shigetada Hatakeyama, it is said that Shigetada Hatakeyama founded it in the Sakura Ward dojo during the Kamakura period. Enjo-in Temple in Yonohonmachi was relocated during the Keicho era, about 400 years after its founding.

Daikokuten, one of the Yono Seven Lucky Gods, is halfway through the gate. The building was beautiful.

I live nearby, but I didn't have a chance to go there, so this was my first time visiting. Once you pass through the Sanmon gate, you will find the quaint temple grounds, which makes you feel like you are traveling while staying in Saitama city.

I think this is the most famous place for hanging cherry blossoms in Saitama City. As of March 31, 2019, it was in full bloom, but only 2 to 3 people came to see it. It was cold, but the cherry blossoms looked great against the blue sky. Since photography was not allowed inside the hospital, I have posted a photo from the entrance gate. There are other places in Saitama City that are famous for weeping cherry blossoms, such as Gyokuzo-in and Enzo-in, but for me, Enjo-in was the best this year. One thing I was disappointed about was that photography was not allowed inside the hospital, but since the hospital is not there to show off the weeping cherry blossoms, I guess it can't be helped. The parking lot seems to be able to accommodate about 20 cars, but there is a sign that says you can park if you have something to do at the hospital, so I parked there wondering if my only purpose was to look at the cherry blossoms.

This temple is home to Daikoku, one of the Yono Seven Lucky Gods. Some people write in their reviews that photography is not allowed, but when I visited, it said that tripod photography was prohibited. There is an offering box in front of Daikoku-sama, and when you put money into it, it makes a sound. Some parts are modern, but when you put your hands together in the main hall, you will feel at ease. The weeping cherry blossoms were magnificent. I would like to visit again in the spring.

It's a very splendid temple. It has good security, but at worst it feels commercial. (lol) It's one of the Seven Lucky Gods, so I think it's worth a visit.
