Excellent experience and super cordial staff including Dinesh, who is a wonderful person. The safari is almost 2 hours and takes U through 5 islands in the Madu River. The views are spectacular and the cinnamon island, mangroves and Temple island are all a delight to deboard at. Definitely recommended.

Had a wonderfull time during the safari, we were able to see lots of islands, wild life and other interesting things during the safari, both the owner dines and our guide were very friendly and helpful, prices are also reasonable compared to other places. Overall journey took around two hours. A nice experience to have of you visiting areas near Ahungalla or Balapitiya. Highly recommended.

Reliable river safari tour partner. Though they took Rs 7,000 for 2 hr trip covering cinnamon island, Kokmaduwa island, fish therapy and few more stops in between and to the estuary. In fact our journey took more than 2 hrs, but they didn’t charge any extra. Boat operator was also very knowledgeable and provided some more insight of the tour and surrounding areas. Highly recommended. But ask for life jackets.

The boat safari, the river and the stops were really nice: cinamon island was so good, we bough natural oil, the temple was beautiful. Profesional and very lovely people, we really enjoyed.

The best people with great great hospitality are shown towards the entire safari.. they are very down to earth people and had a great great drive on the river.

Great experience as the guide makes a lot of effort to try to find animals around the area. Loads of fish, birds and water monitors. Enjoyed a lovely mango shake at the end of our experience to make for a sweet finale.

I had a wonderful tour on Madu river at sunset, lots of birds, monkeys, mangrove and a double rainbow. Everything was amazing!

What a great safari! A local family that offers their services and with a lot of love and time responds to all wishes. Starting on Cinnamon Island, to Temple Island we have seen many different animals and got great impressions. We like to come back again. The fresh mango juice at the end made the afternoon perfect. A subsequent lunch or dinner in the restaurant Bord'eaux (almost next to each other) with fresh fish and a view of the river recommended!

Madu River Safari is truly a magical trip. There are many unique islands to visit. We saw giant squirrels and local fish, saw the cinnamon making process, and walked through a cave made of mangroves! The boss Dinesh was very enthusiastic, and our cruise tour guide was also very considerate. His explanation was very detailed and gave us an unforgettable trip! Anyway, I think Madu River is well worth a visit and I like Dinesh's travel agency!

Our experience with Dinesh whilst on the Boat Safari in Madhu River has been awesome. Dinesh provides a very high quality services and neat and clean boats. The drive is more than 1 hour duration but they take us through various small islands including the one which is habitable and where Cinnamon is cultivated. Highly recommended.
