Humble staff, friendly environment and apt services and facilities. Rooms are spacious enough, storage, washroom, shower are satisfactory. Bedding is comfortable and warm. Enjoyed my stay. Value for money. Location is also good, accessible to most happening neighbourhood of Kathmandu, tourism offices, money exchanges, gardens, restaurants, cafes and bars..all at mere walkable distances.

Lovely family runs this place, we felt welcomed and at home. Late check out or leaving our stuff while going trekking was not a problem at all. Exceptionaly comfy beds. Clean large room and bathroom. Good location, walking distance to Thamel, shops and cafes nearby. I will definitely stay there again.

Best hotel in KTM .you should try once .

This is the best hotel in in Kathmandu, located just near by tourist hub Thamel, all walking distance to Kathmandu durbar square, swoyambhu nath stupa. The room is very nice, quiet, clean and specias. i would like to recommend The Exotic House to anyone for their stay and keep their guests in this beautiful boutique property. Lovely little hotel, great location on the edge of Thamel so in a short (less than 2 minute) walk you are in the heart of the bustle, but you still get a place to enjoy some peace and quiet when it comes to sleeping. Rooms are perfectly clean and a very good size. Good water pressure and warm water in the shower. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, going over and above to make the stay a very comfortable one. Breakfast is simple but tasty and perfect to start off a days exploring of Kathmandu or the surrounding area. Great place to stay for the price.

Nice peaceful place to stay. Good for family. Aunty is very sweet. Staff is also nice.

Very good host. Feels like home stay. Clean and cheap. Good breakfast. Just walking distance from Tamale main market . Hidden gem.

New hidden gem (for now!) on outskirts of thamel. Very clean, modern renovations, great owners and staff. Super comfy beds. Hot shower. Little extras like detol soap, dove shampoo, free water bottles in room, welcome drink, etc. make this the best place we have stayed in Kathmandu.

Beautiful hotel with lots and lots of comfy, pretty rooms. Staff are an incredibly welcoming family who ended up chasing us to the airport to return our friends coat that he‘d left at breakfast! They go the extra mile for their guests!

I believe they were doing some renovation to the building when I was there, but beyond that it is a fine hotel. The breakfast was good, it is pretty convenient to buy what you need and is close to Thamel as well. The only inconvenient I met is that some drivers may not know the place, so I suggest print a map with the location, that should solve the issue.
