The original site of this chain has developed well. Large space and easy to move around. Very clean and uncreative but good food. Self-service with a beeper that alerts you when your food is ready. Great ice cream and bakery for cakes and pastries.

ND's Cafe Mahaboudha holds a special place in the heart of Kathmandu as one of the OG and longstanding restaurants in the city. Established at a time when options for family outings and dates were limited, this restaurant has remained a constant in the evolving culinary landscape of Kathmandu. Walking into ND's Cafe Mahaboudha is like stepping back in time, as the place has retained much of its original charm. The recent addition of a kitchen and eatery area on the west wing is a welcome change, offering a more comprehensive dining experience. However, while ND's Cafe has a nostalgic appeal, the same cannot be said for the food. Over time, the quality seems to have dwindled, and what was once considered good is now merely "okish." This decline in taste might leave some long-time patrons longing for the flavors they remember. Another notable change is the shift in service style. ND's Cafe has adopted a self-service approach, complete with buzzers that signal when your food is ready. While this change may improve efficiency, it does alter the traditional dining experience that many patrons might have cherished. The ambiance at ND's Cafe is decent, especially given its central location within the bustling Mahaboudha area. It provides a convenient stop for shoppers and visitors. However, it's essential to note that parking can be a challenge in this area, so be prepared to walk a bit. In conclusion, ND's Cafe Mahaboudha is a restaurant with a rich history and a certain nostalgic appeal. It's a place where you can still catch a glimpse of Kathmandu's past. While it may not be the go-to spot for outstanding cuisine anymore, it still offers a decent dining experience for those looking to enjoy a meal in the heart of the city.

It's just amazing to see the progress of the one room business into a full fledged multiplex of troves. Located at the center of the busiest Mahabaudha Market, it's very hard to get in there. The parking would have to be very strategically planned along with shopping else just coming in for food is a thing of mystery. The dishes however don't have the olden aroma of the days gone. The menu and the service plus atmosphere have sure gone super and feels like somewhere new.

Dont Fall for the 5 Star Reviews. I am saddened to say this, because Nds has been a part of my history. We loved it... Well! Not anymore... Its a Pale Shadow of its Glorious Past. Utter Disgrace. Food is Outright Bad. Brownie was sort of Stale and Tasteless. Mo:Mo was bad. Chicken Noodle was Bland and merely Spicy. And the Finger Chips were OverCooked and Uneatable.

Huge sitting area, reasonable price, huge portions of food and well managed self service system. Foods are somewhat better than average.

Mushroom chicken soup at Nds is my favorite. The flavor is bit bland but it’s okay to eat healthy. Also, the atmosphere is good.

Good ambience. Good seatings. Good food. Overall a great place to drop by with friends and family after shopping. If you're not shopping and want to just sit idle and enjoy a good cup of coffee; still good.

I would recommend to not go for lunch at Nd’s if you don’t have cash. This place does not have network to connect to the data and the two employees working upstairs at the counter were very much uncooperative and rude. I wanted to change my orders because I had few cash with me but they would not change it. One of the worst services I’ve experienced at Nd’s. Will never ever visit again and would not recommend to anyone.

Dessert production and sale at the spot. Everything is perfectly fresh. Soft brownie was amazing! Eclair is more of a doughnut, but still lovely with light egg white cream. Highly recommend as an example of interpretation of western bakery.

The cafe is inside the Chinese wholesale market. Beside cakes and bakery items, the cafe also serves momos and fries etc. The place is congested and tables are mostly occupied. The food is ok but the quality has degraded. At Least the bakery items are ok but avoid the food restaurant. The food has degraded a lot. Price is on very higher side. The cafe also has an electronic coupon that notifies when the order is ready. No private restroom available. There's a common toilet for the whole building shared by all businesses. No private parking available.
