We found the hotel on Agoda in recommendations. And to be honest, we didn’t expect anything outstanding. But we were very surprised! They have the best mattresses, moderately soft, but not too soft. They fit my back perfectly and I was able to get a good night's sleep. Very thick and soft towels (I have never seen anything like this before) they absorb water very quickly, thick curtains and even during the day it becomes dark. The rooms are very clean and there is always hot water. At check-in, I incorrectly indicated the number of guests, but the staff was understanding and asked me to pay extra only for the additional breakfast. Breakfast consists of simple but deliciously prepared food. And the masala tea is better than in many restaurants. We were pleased with our stay!

The hotel is in an excellent location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Durbar Square is only a 20 minute walk away. The hotel owner Pramod and his team of staff are so friendly and helpful. They really make you feel so welcome. Pramod helped organise a car with driver so that we could visit some of the beautiful temples and places outside of Kathmandu. He also arranged taxis for us from the airport. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has a great breakfast. There is a rooftop terrace that we enjoyed sitting at daily after being out exploring. I highly recommend..

Stayed here for a few nights when arriving in kathmandu. It's a good location about 30 mins from airport but the rooms and maintenance of the property leaves alot to be desired. Some of the positives: + great location in middle of thamel + staff are really friendly and helpful + large bed + they serve cooked eggs at breakfast Some of the things that need improvement: - overall cleanliness of the room - bathroom is in serious need of repairs (alot of mould and damp in areas and the toilet seat had seen better days) - the breakfast was not really that good for vegetarians overall I think like many hotels in nepal, the pictures tend to reflect what the hotel looks like when it first opened but the maintenance of the property means it has naturally declined over time. Again, great staff but just needs a little bit of work to make the experience better.

We have stayed 4 days here with family, it was pleasent stay, quick check in and checkout, great staff…. Everyday started with smile and greet , food was great and rooms are very nice, many options nearby. If you looking for 5 star level service , these guys worth it and mist def worth a stay…. After trekking in the Himalayas, resting in this hotel was the best decision ever. The price is very affordable (32 USD/round 40 CAD a night). There is consistent hotwater, heat, and strong internet. Staff at the reception are warm and welcoming. The house keepers are amazing at what they do. They cleaned our room EVERY single day (such a novel concept given two years of pandemic and no room service). They regularly changed our bedsheets and towels and replenished our water bottles and tea-coffee. The room came with a refrigerator, a TV with cable, a work-space, a small dining area, a cupboard, a king bed, and a safe. Plenty of natural light in the room with big windows. Love our stay here. Highly recommended.

Stayed twice, excellent room and service, team very helpful, room very cosy and comfortable with all amenities are there. Team went of their way to help with anything that you may face issues with. Room service was great, had both veg and non-veg thali, both freshly made, tasted great.

First of all thanks to Mr Pramod for accepting the booking at the last moment when our official booking from Agoda in another property was cancelled abruptly without any information. We did an early check-in and hotel was quite hospitable to accommodate the early checkin without any hassel. The property is well maintained and close by Thamel Market, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants etc. We happened to order Lunch from the Hotel itself and found it to be very delicious. The servings were quite good and was well cooked. The room is quite maintained and clean. Housekeeping staff made sure that your room remains spic and span with all the amenities in the washroom. They provide hair dryer, iron as well. They also have a weighing scale which is quite helpful for travelers boarding any flight (Domestic/International). It has been a very pleasant experience staying in Kumari Boutique Hotel. The staff is very hospitable and help you to plan your visit in Kathmandu. Thanks Mr Pramod once again.

Boss very friendly, slight mistake in booking but managed to resolve with a good deal. Their hot water shower makes me feel so refreshing. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The boss went an extra mile to prepare breakfast for me and my family as we are leaving at 4.30am the next day for a day trip to chandragiri hills.

Extremely clean hotel on a very quiet back street with fast 40Mbps WiFi. The only downside is the breakfast is below average (strangely most reviews claim it's fabulous!). So save money by booking the 'without breakfast' option and eat at a nearby cafe. You can always pay $5 for their breakfast later if you want.

I have stayed at this delightful hotel. It's in a quiet street but very close to restaurants and shops. My favourite rooms are at the back of the hotel which is very peaceful. On arrival the hotel was full so I had been allocated a room at the front of the hotel but this was remedied the next day by the extremely helpful staff. Thank you Kiran. The rooms are light and clean, the beds very comfortable, and the bathrooms have excellent showers. Plenty of hot water with very good water pressures I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there later this year when I again visit Kathmandu. I enjoyed very much staying the hotel. The photos and reviews were exactly and more than expected. I got Wow! feeling when entering the room. All the staff and the owner were warm and friendly with great sprit of hospitality. I loved the wooden style room very much and very spacious with good vibe. Very good speed of wifi, plenty of running hot shower with fresh towels, good quality hair dryer and the good food. Every morning different menus for breakfast, eggs are served at request. It's located in the centre of Thamel, yet a bit behind from the main road, so it's noise free and enjoy silence. Good access to everywhere. I do recommend the hotel for all types of travellers and for quarantine it's the best. I have travelled Thamel more than several times and stayed here and there, and this was really the best. I will come back here next time definitely.

I really enjoyed my stay at the wonderful Kumari Boutique Hotel. Firstly I was greeted warmly with a cool drink. The room was clean and spacious, the bed large and comfortable, and the bathroom had a divide between the shower area and the toilet / sink, keeping the bathroom overall dry and amenable to a global audience. The artwork was educational teaching about the various communities and cultures of Nepal. The location is central and the staff had exceptional service. The food was newari style and good. I stayed 15 nights and they served me every day and night giving me whatever I asked for whether it was rubber bands, cutlery, towels, many bottles of water. The internet was fine and the AC was too. The cleaning was regular and adjusted to my sleep schedule. Everybody had a good attitude. They did my laundry at an efficient price. At the end of my 15 day stay, they promptly provided me a 15 day letter that permitted me to do court marriage in Nepal. Pramod the owner was so helpful. He literally came to the government ward office to help me with every step of my stamps and paperwork. He also gave me a nice arrangement for a long term stay (2 months) including food.

We primarily chose this hotel based on other reviews about it being neat and clean. And it met our expectations. We had the two suites on the top floor and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were also clean. The beds were changed daily, and the towels were replaced every day. This was nice. The food service in the restaurant is small but enough to satisfy. All food served in the restaurant was fresh and made to order, as we discovered. I highly recommend this hotel who are looking for budget accommodations.

Stayed at Kumari prior to and after EBC hike. Located in a quiet street although accessible to all the thamel shops. The hotel staff were excellent, breakfast was amazing, and rooms were clean with great shower pressure plus hot water! Definitely a treat after a long grueling 12 day hike. Additionally, they stored my luggage until I came back from EBC. I had accidently stained the sheets, but I was not charged extra which shows their commitment to customer service. Will definitely stay here again!
