Fantastic hotel. The truth is that my family and I have been very well. The service is friendly, kind and cordial. The night watchman is a charming gentleman. The breakfast was great and served on a terrace with views. The beds very comfortable. Excellent cleaning. The perfect bathroom. The wifi connection works !! Truly, a place to stay without hesitation.

The room is a separate delight! Himalayan Ghar for my family and I was a great experience during our stay the staff and management was more than excellent. The staff was so friendly and made sure all of our needs where meant. Especially Mr. Devendra Karki we had a late night flight back home he made travel arrangements to airport for us that was very kind of him he even stayed late after his works hours. The roof top of hotel has a great view while having breakfast,lunch, or dinner. Kitchen staff was amazing and kind. We also enjoyed staying in roof top after hours for drinks.

Me and my wife stayed here in August for 4 nights before going on a booked tour. The complete hotel is very clean, comfortable with spacious quiet rooms, and has a beautiful rooftop terrace with a very good restaurant. The stuff as well as the manager is very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much that we came back here for another 3 nights after our tour. It is a very recommendable place in every regard!

I had the opportunity to stay in Himalayan Ghar several times. Each time it felt like coming home again. The location, the facilities, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the roof top, the staff, the management - all of these points deserve 10 out of 10 points. Highly recommended!

I’ve stayed at Himalayan Ghar on two separate occasions now and both times it’s been great. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Thamel yet set back from the main street. The rooms are tastefully decorated with traditional touches and come with a range of amenities, including toiletries and a mini bar. Breakfast is also served on their lovely rooftop terrace. The service is friendly and the staff will be very happy to help arrange taxis, offer advice on day trips, etc. I’d highly recommend Himalayan Ghar as an affordable and convenient place to stay in Thamel.

stayed here pre-trek for 3 nights in Oct-2023. hotel is ok. down a sketchy road - that gets dark at night (beware of feral dogs lying everywhere) room was ok. no real view. a dog barked nearby - all night, every night. best part was the restaurant - on the roof. even when i was staying in a different hotel post-trek, i walked here at least once a day for lunch or dinner. restr is quiet. clean. free wifi. food is cooked fresh after you order. cook is great. food is fantastic. hands-down the best indian/nepali food in KTM (i am indian). next time in KTM - i might not stay here, but for sure i'll come here to eat!

The service is genuine and spontaneous. We happened to be staying on the day the hotel was celebrating its fifth anniversary and were invited to join-in the staff dance. The chef cooked up a delicious meal. My friends and I highly recommend the hotel
