Didn’t stay at the hostel but couldn’t stop coming back. Kind staff with really special service food really good and affordable. Such a vibe some is always playing some moving mellow guitar if you want to listen or if not there’s a few spots you can choose to chill.

Such nice and chill place. Price of night is fair as well as food which is good ! Really enjoyable shared space where I've spend way too much time to finish some of my projects using a pretty good wifi. People working and coming here are mostly very friendly locals. So far my favourite place where to stay in Kathmandu, not crowed with european tourists. See you again my friends !

"Aarogya" translated from Sanskrit means balance of all mental parts of the body. And this is immediately felt in this hostel. Friendliness, responsibility, safety are at the highest level here. The guys always try to improve the hostel and add details for the convenience of visitors. The hostel has a very friendly atmosphere, I wanted to stay here for a couple of days, but in the end I stayed for 16 days. Convenient location (center of Kathmandu, Thamel), delicious food, comfortable conditions make this hostel attractive. I also like the beautifully painted walls: even in the area of ​​the stairs, the walls are painted with Buddhist paintings. I highly recommend it. Best wishes from Alex

Aarogya is a very welcoming, calm and friendly place to stay just outside the busy Thamel area. The facilities are good, the rooms and common spaces are very tidy and there's always someone around who's up for a chat and chill. You have to check out the view from the upstairs bar and restaurant, it's a special place. Food and drinks are priced reasonably, there is hot water in the shower, beds are comfy and the WiFi is fast. I've stayed in Aarogya twice now and will return next time I'm in Kathmandu! We had such a wonderful time, the staff were phenomenal and the location is great. So many wonderful people come to the hostel and the vibe is super relaxed, creative and peaceful. Food and drinks 10/10, would highly recommend 😊

My brother and I needed a place for our last couple of days in Kathmandu after trekking and stumbled across Aarogya hostel, and extremely glad we did :) The guys running it are super friendly and helpful and the vibe of the place is simply immaculate :), it's a little place with equally little prices and it's clean, chill, safe and comfortable: everything a hostel should be :) it's in a perfect location on the edge of Thamel where you're close to touristy stuff but out of the bustle of the crowds. It has so much character and very cool stories to go with it which is always a bonus with hostels, just have a chat with Divas or one of the other guys about it :) I've been staying at quite a few hostels in the last couple of months and honestly this is one of the best, with it's chill vibe, but also being safe, secure and comfortable. Divas gave us great advice for a day's sightseeing itinerary including where to catch the local bus from so definitely ask about the little blue mini buses if you want a fun and cheap way of visiting any of the further afield sights. Oh also check out Pathao a Nepalese Uberesque app if you aren't onto it already for some easy transport around Kathmandu :) Thanks again guys we'll see you next time!

It is exact opposite of what it must be according to it's title (Aarogya means HEALTH). Use of alcohol, nicotine etc.: everything is very welcomed by managers (they sell alcohol here itself). I also couldn't sleep first night cause of extremely strong stink of naphthalene. Only in the morning found the source: 4 naphthalene balls right under my matras! However, it is poisonous to humans. I literally had people smoking near my window, which I couldn't close (and it had no glass anyway). To sum up, here is a true hell for those who seek health and peace of mind.

There is a place for practice yoga or meditation but the people smoke at first floor so you can't do yoga or meditation properly Rooms are cheap but it's not very clean
