Probably one of the best hostel from my opinion where I stayed. It's probably coming from the atmosphere, and the kindness from the hosts ! The rooftop is amazing, with many good peoples hanging around. I definitly recommend :) Thank you Didiiiii ❤️

Our must go place whenever we are in Kathmandu. We came back 4 times. It’s a real hostel, run by a beautiful family, with a nice homely vibe. It probably also has the best terrace of the entire city. Social and real, ideal for those who knows how real hostels should be. For all the others, there are the super fancy places elsewhere and pay 35$ for a hostel room

We went to stay in that hotel after seeing Google's review but my own experience there was very bad because there was a lot of dirt in that hotel, The hotel rooms were very small, there was only space for one bed, our belongings were not being adjusted there. And when we asked him to clean the room the behavior of the hotel owner was very bad for us.

Didi is the best thing of this place. When you've such a friendly environment and host, nothing can go wrong! I wish I had taken some pics. I'd return here in the future, just for the first impression.

Planet Nomad really is a little gem of a hostel in Kathmandu, the view from the rooftop is amazing and it is one of the friendliest and easiest places to meet people and make friends. The owners are lovely and amazing and I would come back to Kathmandu just to see them! Would recommend 100%

what they do with their hostel is amazing, they made a real cosy place for us, and they are always welcoming with us. It was a pleasure to meet them and come back 4 times! Nice location, nice room, great rooftop. Kitchen not operating. In 6 days never had hot shower, and the water use for shower and sink was smell bad as the one in the wc. Place: 5/5 Room:4/5 Bathroom:1/5

I stayed 3 weeks in this hostel, because it's just the best in Kathmandu. Raju and Basanti (the owners) makes you feel like à member of a family. Everybody knows each other, it's like a huge family gathered in a same place. Every time i am going back to Kathmandu, i am going there because it's just the best. Cheap, nice, a good rooftop, and THE BEST GINGER LEMON HONEY TEA !! Anyway, if you want a good cheap place, don't looking more and take a room in Shantipur !!.Thanks for everythin Raju and Basanti !!❤

My new home in Kathmandu 🔥 Favourite hostel in Nepal. Lovely, funny and welcoming family and staff. They are all friendly and nice people. Amazing rooftop, with great view and chilled vibe. Great location and great price. This place attracts interesting people and I made many friends on the rooftop there. Would recommend to all to stay here while in Kathmandu 🔥

Brilliant hostel. Beautiful rooftop bar with cheap drinks for a hostel and great food. Staff are very helpful and kind and the atmosphere is brilliant. Really cool hostel that let us extend our stay loads and store our things there whilst we traveled

Super cheap hostel option in the Thamel area, many backpackers/travellers. Amazing location, surrounded by a spa, café, bar and a parking lot for easy taxi access. Also it's 100 meters away from the busy streets, so it is quiet and nice. Our private room was alright, clean enough, but no mosquito-filter in the windows, so the air got very thin during the stay since we "couldn't" open the window. A very hard bed, but this is good for your back ;) The bathroom was not clean, but it was shared so it was as expected. Haven't tried the dorms. Amazing value for the price, we paid 7€ per night in the busy season (november).

I spend almost one week in this hostel. The stuff was so helpful and friendly. Also rooftop view is best in Kathmandu. Food as well perfect. I recommend you to stay there

If you're looking for a welcoming place to meet people, drink delicious milk tea and enjoy a magnificent view of Kathmandu while playing chess, this is the place to be. I can't thank Raju, Didi and their family enough for all their kindness, sincerity and warmth! The dormitories are comfortable, with private curtains for each bed. If you're on the 4th floor and lucky enough to be next to the window, you'll once again be able to enjoy a beautiful view as the first thing you see when you wake up, like a foretaste of the rooftop where you can have breakfast. The showers are clean, as are the bathroom facilities. Thanks again, I wish you all the happiness in the world and hope to come back as soon as possible!

Good location, at the edge of Thamel (less circulation and less noise). The hostel has a great rooftop with a good view of the city. The room were not that great but beds have curtains (which is nice). Bathrooms are ok and there's hot shower. Considering the place, I think the price is good

Such a great and clean hostel with a amazing roof top where you can have a fascinating view over Kathmandu! The best place to chill out and to get away from the busy life in Kathmandu. The food is delicious and the people are just lovely. I wanted to stay here for 3 days and got suck into the incredible atmosphere for nearly one month. Thanks so much guys for making my stay so comfortable!

The atmosphere at this place was amacing, i had a great time on the terrace sharing experiencied with other travallers. However, the be was too hard and the bathroom a huge disappointment, maybe because many people used it during the day but i wouldnt describe it as shimmering.

Supernice Hostel with really friendly owner and an amazing Rooftop were you can chill and have a smoke togheter with the owners. They helped some poor children programs with the morey you spend. Recommendation!

I stayed in the hostel for 9 days and I loved the whole stay. Food is good like home made. Both of the hosts are very friendly. And they both are very hard working people. Treated me well and helped me booking taxis. There is also a special host MOMO 🐕 who comes and wake you up in the morning 😂.

The hotel and atmosphere there is really nice and the people extremely friendly and supportive. Prices really fair for this very good locarion (close to the happening but just enough outside to have a quiet night) but I think they could really level up a bit in the kitchen. Food is average.

The location of the hostel is perfect. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They have the best 2-level rooftop views. They serve good local drinks and food. The rooms and washrooms are clean and that creates a positive vastu and vibe at the property. The crowd is chilled. This is a great value for money hostel.

Oh. Simply the best place. No luxury but rich in the sense of experience. Raju and Basanti are an awesome couple who are handling this hostel. It more feels like a home. Vibe is awesome.

Shantipur hotel is so good for me. They gave me good service and cared about me until the day I left. It has a nice rooftop view. I like it!
