Really well-run.From the moment you step in till the time you step out, excellent service throughout. Staff were great. Very efficient. The room was worth every penny spent. Oh and the food in the restaurant was superb. Their breakfast in the morning is one of the best I've had anywhere. Very well managed and run. Props to the management for the 5 star experience. Leaving as a happy and definitely satisfied customer.

4.5⭐️ 2 nights, couple stay, “executive suite” double bed First the location of the hotel was great. Its just on the border of Thamel, so it's not so crowded but not too quiet either. There are plenty of restaurants/cafes/souvenir stores nearby so I recommend exploring the area. The service of the staff were as expected. Extremely nice as soon as we stepped out of our taxi. We were greeted warmly and even offered refreshments. After having our luggage taken to our room, we were given a quick tour of the hotel. Any questions we had were answered and resolved instantly. Me and my partner booked a double bed executive suite and was amazed by the room setup. As expected, it's clean though they could do some deeper cleaning, but it was never a huge issue. We were also on the 4th floor (room 406) where the view from the balcony was amazing. Finally, the restaurant located on the ground floor had indoor and outdoor seating. For dinner they were showing the world cup as it wasn't available in our room TV. It was no problem as it was cool and had great food.

Amazing experience ,Polite & helpful staff. Aesthetic interiors. Clean & hygienic rooms. Location is in the heart of the city. Everything at walkable distance. Staff & security guard helped in calling for a local taxi & even negotiated with them on our behalf. Also provided us with insights on touristy things to do around Kathmandu (like 1 day trips). Unfortunately, they do not have spa at their hotel but if one requests , they book it for you at a nearby spa place :) Loved every bit of my stay!

Very comfortable and clean hotel, centrally located. The rooms are large with plenty of room, very clean and comfortable. Fantastic showers, we had a street facing room with a large balcony, excellent place to sit and relax at the end of the day people watching, while you decide where to go for dinner. Highly recommend this hotel, middle of range but great value. Nice bar and garden area inside, 5th floor lounge is also great for relaxing.

The best place to stay in Kathmandu. Great pricing value for such an amazing stay. Stayed there for over a week and the entire stay was top class. Location is perfect as it is right in the middle of Thamel.
Great, comfortable rooms, an amazing gym, a great restaurant, and a comfortable lounging area and bar on the top floor. Staff service is amazing and are all friendly and enthusiastic to help and make their guests have a great, enjoyable time.
Recommended to everyone and anyone looking for a place in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Great hotel, it is a celebration of fine Nepali traditional craft. The design is welcoming and warm and the wood beams and rails throughout is all wonderful traditional style handwork. Great restaurant and pleasant traditionally themed rooms.

We stayed here while visiting Nepal around May. The interior was an impressive wooden style. Customer service was 24 hr and I loved the breakfast and Nepali style milk tea. I would like to thank Nepal Promote Trek for booking Nepali Ghar Hotel for our stay.

You probably won't find anything with this budget. We have skipped booking com. Called them directly and got a very good deal. It was as good as budget friendly accomodations. Plus the complementary breakfast was more than good with multiple options - English to continental. Rooms are not very spacious but perfectly alright. Compared to the room, bathroom was roomy. I loved it. You can get a double or twine bed as per your need and availability. Since it was in themel, weekends night noise was a concern but very surprisingly it quite inside the room. It means the walls are well insulated. I will try next time for sure.

Fine hotel in the otherwise somewhat noisy and dirty Thamel area. The hotel is very tastefully designed, offers good service and a nice restaurant with good food. Great value for money. Cozy, clean and quiet rooms!

Truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and certainly the best in Nepal. Rooms are beautiful, staff are welcoming and attentive, and it’s in the heart of Thamel. I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone, and it would be a pleasure to stay here again.

One of the best hotel in Kathmandu. Rooms were very clean, comfy, very traditional looking with such a nice modern touch in it. Breakfast was good, the food was good , services were amazing and quick. The staffs here are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Prices are reasonable for their room and services as well. Definitely one of the best hotel to go and stay while in KTM!!!

This was our first visit to Nepal. We picked Nepali Ghar for its convenient location in Themal, a neighborhood in Kathmandu that's described as being "Western". We discovered that, that made sense. Nepali Ghar ("Ghar" = House) is in an excellent location to everything. But more importantly, the architecture is traditional and beautiful, the high ceiling wooden beams, lamps, and furniture. All rooms have AC which is crucial for the piercingly hot summers in Kathmandu. The entire hotel is quiet and a perfect escape from the noise of non-stop motorcycles and cars winging through tiny, dirty, polluted streets. The restaurants at ground level and at the rooftop serve amazing Nepali, Indian, and "Western" food. Our favorite was Mo Mo. Also, there's a bar that serves the best cocktails, local beers (IPA too!), and local whiskey. Nepal knows how to make booze. Hotel service was awesome. Everyone was extremely helpful, no matter how seemingly crazy our requests were. They even figured out it was my birthday, and surprised me by baking me a birthday cake, delivered to our room. We highly recommend Nepali Ghar!

I stayed at the beautiful Nepali Ghar Hotel, in Kathmandu, Saturday-Wednesday, March 11-15, 2023. ALL the staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, and helpful. I loved their smiles. The breakfasts were delicious and so were all the dinners and drinks. I loved the location, within easy walking distance of the Asan Bazaar and many beautiful temples in Hanuman-Dhoka Square (Kathmandu Durbar Square). I especially want to acknowledge Tshewang Yeshi, part of the front desk staff. He shared many interesting and helpful things about his beautiful homeland, Bhutan, because he knew I was going to Bhutan after Nepal. The owner and managers have created a beautiful welcoming haven with the Nepali Ghar Hotel; it even has a gorgeous meditation room. I highly recommend this hotel and hope I can stay there again if I return to Kathmandu. My very best to you, Nancy Mullins

Excellent rooms, even better service, 24 hour room service available. The best feature of the hotel surprisingly was its shower.

The hotel is really beautiful. All the designs on wall are hand made which makes it even more attractive. The rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom though is quite conjusted. Also, the restaurant is serves many options however for pure vegetarians, there will be very few options on the menu.

Great luxury boutique hotel in Thamel. Beautiful terrace where you can rest and have a view of Kathmandu from above. The service, rooms, and location are marvellous. Extremely clean with a 5 stars buffet breakfast. Continental, intercontinental, fruits, fresh juices... they also have Yak Cheese if you want to try something local. Highly raccomanded if you are looking for a quiet place in the city centre of Kathmandu. Many thanks to all the staff of the Ghar Hotel for your hospitality. We hope to see you soon again. 4 star only because it is missing a swimming pool and a spa. Namaste.

Once you step into the hotel from the road it is quiet and pristine. The staff and management treated us so kindly. The room, food, and entire stay was very pleasant! It is the nicest place I’ve stayed in the area and will be back again in the future. Worth the price and highly recommend these beautiful accommodations!

Great stay. I wish I'd stayed here earlier than just the last night. Great breakfast.. Beautiful interior and well proportioned rooms and warm, friendly staff. Oh and a 3 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Thamel. I'll be back.

Small and beautiful, handcrafted by kind hearted staff. They are so friendly and helpful that we took photos with all staff together. The hotel is very photogenic and I took quite many photos inside. The centre hotel lobby is a photo of old Kathmandu, nice and quiet. A stark contrast.

Great hotel, comfortable rooms, and excellent food. Stayed here for a night before moving on to another hotel, was a great place to rest after a long flight. Comfortable room with air conditioning, fan, and modern bathroom. Great view from the balcony too. Eat upstairs for the best view. Complimentary yoga lessons at 7am too!

Stayed for one night shortly after 4 hours trip from Muscat, here are what is what we think about it 👍🏽good value for money 60$/night 👍🏽very helpful staff 👍🏽our room was upgraded upon our arrival to the hotel. 👍🏽nice and comfy bed. 👍🏽outstanding service and lovely staff. 👍🏽the decor is exceptional - heritage based and wooden ceiling. 👍🏽restaurant with amazing food … … 👎in the deluxe rooms; the shower was disappointing, a shower head on top of a bath tub, while the shower head night is mid of your body ! 👎Bar noise from across the street until midnight Hope this could answer some of your questions

Hotel itself should be considered an attraction worth visiting! Simply every corner is beautifully decorated, with traditional feel and taste. It’s far from traffic, so quiet and peace is guaranteed. Staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful.

Clean, classy and comfortable. A hidden gem in the hectic area of Thamel. The hotel is quiet, with excellent facilities and a decent food menu. I’d definitely return when next passing through Kathmandu!

The Hotel is very beautiful. The interior is very carefully chosen and very elegant. The bed was super komfortable and everything very clean. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The Breakfast was very tasty and everything we needed. Loved to be in the beautiful backyard. If we visit kathmandu again this will be our place to stay.

So pretty inside and out ... Very nice room ... Very clean ... Friendly staff ... Good location ... I stayed here quite a few night on both ends of my trip ... very good dood ... would stay again ... had a local flavor on the upscale side without feeling like an international hotel chain ... what all boutique hotels should strive for ...

It is one of the best hotel I have stayed in Kathmandu; located in Thamel it is very close to airport around 20 min far but in busy time I would recommend to leave early. The food was great we had breakfast and lunch. There services was amazing and on time anything we want. Roof top was closed when we arrived but saw pictures where one could have amazing view. You could walk around Thamel from hotel and explore the streets. In short will definitely recommend everyone to visit this place. I was recommended by Nepal promote treks and expedition Pvt Ltd since, there hotel was fully booked. Thank you Nepal promote treks for your service.

This hotel is beautiful, the detail, the bedrooms. Clean, tidy, every detail thought off. Yet the staff were unbelievably disappointing. From entrance to exit on both stays we were made to feel like we were interrupting their day for anything. No effort was made to open doors, or greet you as you came in. My partner ended up requiring an ambulance and we sat downstairs waiting with no comment from staff atall, no offer to get door. I had to return to pack our room in a hurry and despite carrying 4 trekking bags, 2 pairs of trekking boots not one member of staff offered to open a door or help me outside. We also had to check out a day early and when I asked about a possible refund they said no. Would sadly not recommend unless you just want a clean bedroom to enjoy.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, very nicely renovated, got a big room. Arrived off-season so very quiet, which was perfect for a relaxing stay. The restaurant food was lovely and breakfast enjoyable. The area is okay, a little bit rundown but that is typical of Kathmandu and not the hotel. Loved how walkable the streets were (watch the traffic) and so many shops/restaurants nearby.

You will be well looked after if you choose to stay here. Well located in the Thamel region of Kathmandu. Lovely outdoor seating area with fire pit for chilly evenings. Reasonably priced wine and beer. Good food. Friendly staff.

Rating - All the stars in the universe I ended up in this hotel after being medi evacuated by helicopter frpm Namche and being hospitalised. It was such a blessing. The staff in this hotel rallied around me when I was bed ridden for 6 days. They made special meals for me, checked in all the time, brought water and encouraged me to drink more, they even went to the pharmacy for me. So when I was feeling my lowest and missing my family. I didn't feel like I was all on my own. I still remember the first day I ventured from my room. Just to the hotel courtyard for lunch. Every staff member was so pleased. And it really filled me eoth joy to have such support. Aside from this amazing, beyond wonderful treatment the hotel is stunning. The food, once I felt better was also delicious (the tomato soup is my favourite) and the restaurant is an oasis from the busy streets of downtown Kathmandu.
