I have stayed here several times. The place is nice and quite and the beds are comfortable. The owner is a very helpful and honest man, who lives in the building with his wife and daughter. Very nice people, but if you prefer to be left alone, you will never see them. It is close to the airport and outside of the tourist center, so no street hustlers will bother you when you walk around the area.

Beautiful place and the most amazing family! Took such good care of us. We spent there sadly only one night, could easily stay for a couple of week. Great location out of the Thamel a d not far from the airport!

Short version: friendly host, clean rooms, good wifi, located close to the airport,... Long version: we booked for one night, because it wasn't expensive, had good reviews and was close to the airport. But then the pandemic hit the world, flights got cancelled and we were stuck in Kathamndu. We couldn't have been in a better place. Sugat helped us in every possible way, he showed us around, escorted us to the shops, made dozens of calls to help us get home and finally drove us in his car in a locked down Kathmandu to get to our repatriation flight. He's a saint! The 10 extra days we were stuck there made our Nepal trip complete. We hiked the mountains and enjoyed the hospitality, but the warmth we received from Sugat and his family was on an other level. The moments we shared with the family are memories we will treasure. We booked for a night and ended up with friends for life. If you really want to experience Kathmandu there is only one option, Swagat homestay!!

Sugat his wife and his daughter Orsa, gave me the opportunity to share with a beautiful Nepales family, their parents also very attentive and religious, two temples in their home. The highlight is that he helped me in everything I needed, laundry, lunch when I was sick, transportation to the post office and transfer to the airport .... highly recommended. Having breakfast on the terrace above the house is an excellent experience, I appreciate having arrived at Swuagat home stay in Kathmandu.

We really enjoyed staying at Swagat homestay! The owners are really helpful and caring. They suggested nice restaurants and activities. The place is clean and we really appreciated the connection with this local family. Definitely a good place to stay and discover Kathmandu.

Was there in 2018 and was great start for the Annapurna Circuit . The owner helped me with you everything I need to start . Very very nice place .Also taked same time to explore Kathmandu...great city.

It was a great Stay for 5 days. Quite and non disturbing place. Smiling welcome, soft voice and caring guests like their own family was the best part . Just 4 stars because non availability of Lunch and Dinner.

This is a family owned business. It is a 2 star hotel which is an excellent place to stay for the price. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The host, Sugat, and his wife, Roshani, are very, hospitable, personable, and friendly. We enjoyed our two nights stay. The house is quiet. It is a perfect place to recover from the long flight to Kathmandu.

Great place to stay when visiting Kathmandu. Close to the airport and in a walking distance from many tourist sites. Very nice and helpful staff - it's a family business. Clean and quiet rooms and a great view from the balcony. Breakfast included and there is a shared kitchen to store Your food and cook if You want to.

I stayed at this homestay right after I arrived in Nepal/Kathmandu. Sugat, the owner, picked me up from the airport at an ungodly hour, because my flight had a delay; I was so thankful for that. The room was great, it was spacious, had a comfortable bed and some closets and a desk to put my things. The WiFi worked great, same as the hot shower. Sugat and Roshani were so helpful with getting me started in Nepal and connected me with everyone I needed connecting with. It was a very warm welcome and I used the Homestay as my base whenever I returned to Kathmandu between trips. It really is a special place and very good for a short or long stay in Kathmandu.

Amazing Home stay! You can really feel the good vibes in this authentic nepali home. Prices good, everything is very clean, the food is nice and i liked the location. It is a bit outside from the city in a welcoming neighborhood, but you can easily go outside and buy your groceries or eat in a good restaurant. I even went to the gym nearby and visited a yoga class. All in a few minutes by foot. Thank you Sugat and his Family, it was amazing and i will come back. Lukas
