My favourite place in Kathamandu. It is a women's project that is employing more than 75 women in rural Nepal to make these environmentally friendly products. The first time I met this shop I was impressed with all the history they have behind them and all that they have achieved in the last few years. Saheen is a sweetheart and if you go there she will be happy to assist you and show you the room upstairs with more products. They have lots of hemp gifts, clothes, accessories.... If you are interested in knowing more about the project you can visit the workshop where they produce the products according to fair trade principles and meet the wonderful women behind this project. 100% recommended! :)

I recommend anyone staying in Kathmandu to visit this shop. The items are handmade by Nepali women and all proceeds go to helping local women in need. There's a huge range of items to suit all budgets so no excuse not to go!

I found one of the best handicrafts in Nepal .which call local women's handicrafts.. which run by sahin pravin.It is a women's project that is employing more than 100 women .these environmentally friendly products. The first time I met this shop I was impressed with sahin because sahin only (teen age ).. young age women's are think different like how to make beautiful life, Handsome boyfriend etc .. but sahin think how to empowering more women in Nepal .. that is best word for everyone.. let's help sahin dreams together.. empowering localwomens..

Amazing shop with lots of small daily things who are made out of recycled goods. Everything is produced local by nepali woman to make living conditions, working conditions and life better. It's a must visit in Kathmandu, to see how smart these strong and empowered women are running their business. They also stand up for free hygiene products for women - you can buy one package on the website and donate it to one woman/girl in their school project :) Thanks for all the information and inspiration!

One of my favourite places in Kathmandu! It was really wonderful to speak with the inspiring staff and learn about how this business is run by women, to support and empower underprivileged women. They are really such amazing people, they are transforming lives. Learning about their micro-loan program and training programs was very inspiring and educational. The products they make are so beautiful and many have tags telling you about the women who made them. We kept coming back for more! Many products you could find in other stores around Kathmandu, but this is the only store you could be assured the products were made by people who were given a fair wage and safe working environment. A truly ethical, fair trade, and sustainable store! They have a huge range of products made in many different types of materials and everything is good quality. When I come back to Nepal, I will definitely visit again!

The most wonderful shop in all of Kathmandu. Forgetting buying anywhere else. This is where you will want to take your time to bring home gifts for yourself and everyone else. After wandering the city taking in all of the shops, we were so happy to find Local Women's Handicrafts. These women are the real deal; the true face behind your purchase. High quality, unique designs and all 100% fair-trade. After visiting their storefront, make sure to have them take you upstairs to see all of the other products.
