I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Room was clean and the perfect size. We left our luggage here for a week long trek out of pokhara after only a 1 night stay and came back to no issues, immediately booked for an additional night without issue. I plan to book another night when I'm back from a yoga retreat because the service was amazing. It's right in the center of everything but somehow just far enough to be away from the noise of the street. Restaurant was also great. Had tea, juice, food - all amazing. And again, everyone who works there were just so friendly. Strongly recommend.

This is the perfect place if you travel on a budget. Clean, cosy, the staff is really friendly and the food is so good! Ram is such a great guy, he is very resourceful and will help you with anything he can. I totally recommend it!

The staff was friendly and helpful and room standard was very good, clean sheets and nice bathroom with hot water (after some time tho). But in the evenings - Friday and Saturday the place was running some bday parties so it was very very loud till 10:30 PM. Would recommend, but not in weekends.

Very nice budget hotel. Only deficiency I found is the shower. Need hot water and good speed of water.

Grumpy owner, very bad rustic smell of the water, dead vibe it felt like a haunted lodge and not very comfy place. The charges are incredibly high. Totally not worth it 🙄

2. Kathmandu 2023Tour Kathmandu is the capital and largest city in the country. It is the no. 1 visited place in Nepal since there is only one international airport that is located in Kathmandu. There are many unique things to do in Kathmandu. You can visit romantic places in Kathmandu like Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Temple, also known as Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, and Thamel to buy handicrafts, Pashmina, Khukuri, etc.

Fairly priced. Clean sheets. Nice common area and friendly staff The room (other than the bed) is dirty and run down. The sink, shower and window shield are broken. It’s noisy at all hours from inside and outside the hotel. Wifi only works in the common area. Hot water only in the evenings. We were put in a family room on the ground floor (not the standard double we booked). The room stank of cigarette smoke and was invaded by a cockroach. Recommend for a one night stay but not longer.

Located in hopping area of Thamel. Rooms were ok, staff was enjoyable. Shower was moderately warm

1st time to Nepal..entry and exit from Doors hotel in Thamel. Excellent environment, staff, owner, food. Hotel rooms, dining area with entertainment, provides the required ambient pleasure to anyone..the hotel is in between a major shopping locality, where you can reach out or you can be reached out too, for everything

The place has a good location, and the staff are friendly; however, the rooms are not as clean as they should be and the rooms aren’t as nice as they advertised.

It's clean, comfortable bed and strategic located in the heart of the city. Walking distance to bustling Thamel in just 5 minutes and other attractions and restaurants. Even though its central but I couldn't hear any noises in the bedroom. The staff especially Chetri and Thapa Bai and owner Ram is very friendly and always greet me whenever with a smile. They speak good English and happy to help if needed. I stayed in the A/C room with the best price compare to other hotels nearby its way more expensive but not as good as this. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

For 12$ i could not ask a television, plus the staff was so kind and do a great mojito. I had room 301, 3th floor. It was big, with a good Bed. The only problem was the shower really to Limited. I would have love to stay more because it situated perfectly and close to every thing

The Hotel is well located and close to all the hotspots in thamel, and also you can stroll down to Kathmandu Durabar square in the evening. Rooms are nice, decent and clean with all amenities and you also have a cafe and seating space on ground and first floor. Food is good, the staff is really nice and helpful and is at your service anytime and makes you feel like home. Kudos!! to them and would definitely recommend people to go for it.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Doors. The staff are super friendly and fun and the rooms where modern and clean. Unlike other places I have stayed at in katmandu the A/C works at The Doors. The location is also great. I will be staying there next time I'm in Katmandu.

Really high standard. Great staff, very client oriented and helpful. Comfortable rooms, if you don't take the economic ones, those are a little claustrophobic . One of the best coffees I had on the subcontinent.

We stayed 3 nights at this property, it was amazing clean,friendly and very good located in thamel Kathmandu. If you gonna compare with others hotel in Nepal also very chipper and familiar.i loved bamboo design and quite located. Thanks bosses":) see you after trekking.

The last thing Thamal needs is another restaurant and hotel. Lol. But THIS one? Yes. This is needed. They do it right here. Clean, quiet (it’s tucked away from the main road a little) and comfortable. Beautiful art, intelligent staff and delicious food, at the right price. Highly recommend.

Would really recommend the Doors hotel. We stayed there for 1 night after having stayed in 2 other hotels during our visit and it was by far the best. It is clean, right in the centre of Thamel, but without the noise. The staff are super friendly and the room was big, clean and very comfortable. My only issue was that the communal bathroom at the cafe of the hotel was quite the opposite, super dirty and smelled bad. It did not reflect how good the rest of the hotel was.
