Mums hotel is situated in Thamel in katmandu in a very convenient spot within a walking distance from shops cafes and restaurants.I really enjoyed my stay there - convenient and staff was super polite and helpful!

Everything was great. The room was clean, food was delicious. The staffs were helpful, were kind and polite and helped you with everything. I had the best experience staying at their place. 🤍

If you are visiting Nepal and planning to stay in thamel then this is the best place. Great hospitality, the staffs are quite friendly, soft spoken and cooperative. The food provided by them was light, healthy and was great in taste. Also all the famous places of Nepal are nearby from this location. Special mention of one guy named Aakash who is a staff member of the hotel, who attained us really well and was always there for his service. He also took me on his bike for shopping.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s in a great location close to everything, it’s very affordable, great value for money and the staff here are all lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot and the rooms clean. I can also highly recommend breakfast and food here. Perfect in every way. Thanks for a great stay in Nepal

We stayed here for three nights ,the hotel is nicely located in thamel (although in a narrow lane but this goes to all type of hotel in thamel area), rooms were spacious and stocked with basic amenities likes water bottles, shampoo, conditioner, dental kits etc. ,the staff was courteous and offered welcome drink and also facilitates taxi for kathmandu sightseeing (on payment basis) a. For pasupathi Nath (to and fro and 1 hr waiting time) 1000 NPR b. Chandragiri ,Swaymbhu,baudnath -5000 NPR d. Budanilkanth ,Dakshin kali - 7000 NPR For stay at 6000 NPR for 5 Adults All in all it was pleasant stay.

Great hotel, we warmly recommand. We satyed there for several nights, the room we had was super convenient, very big, with balcony and a sofa and a desk. The Wifi is excelent. The service is the best - the staff is so nice and usefull and generous. The location is also great: not in the midst of the busy Thamel, but in a small street (still in Thamel erea) very close to everything. We realy enjoyed our staying there. P.S., the hotel is of 4 high floors with no elevator, so if you are not here for hiking - ask for lower floor :)

We stayed here before and after our trek to the Himalayas and felt right at home. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. Any wishes were handled quickly. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and clean, the beds comfortable. The breakfast was tasty.

We stayed in Hotel Mums Home on a few occasions during our 3 months in Nepal. Every time we were welcomed by the friendliest staff who made us feel right at home. Although close enough to the hustle and bustle of Thamel - it is in a quiet location on a no through street. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and shower has good pressure and hot water. What sets this place above the rest are the incredibly helpful and welcoming staff.

This place is very nice - I paid 2500 rs for 1 night - there are cheaper places in the area but Mums home was definitely worth the extra rupee. Super friendly and helpful staff, I will be coming back here !

I have stayed at many hotels in Thamel, while visiting Nepal. But always there was something what I disliked. Finally I have found this hidden gem. Mums Home has best value for money. Super clean rooms are bigger than usual in Thamel. Breakfast is delicious with perfect coffee from the machine. The best is location because hotel is in the side street it means there is absolutely no traffic and you can relax 24/7. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi works perfectly. Next time I will definitely stay here.
