Last
Friday
night,
my
friends
and
I
decided
to
explore
"Twenty
Forty"
in
Baneswor,
Kathmandu,
a
place
that's
been
on
our
radar
for
its
eclectic
mix
of
cuisines
and
vibrant
atmosphere.
The
restaurant,
known
for
its
Italian,
Chinese,
Indian,
and
contemporary
dishes,
did
not
disappoint.
Upon
entering,
we
were
immediately
struck
by
the
interior.
The
high
ceiling
and
metal
structure
gave
off
a
modern
yet
inviting
vibe.
The
place
was
buzzing
with
energy,
completely
full—a
testament
to
its
popularity.
Our
culinary
journey
began
with
a
round
of
drinks.
The
"Hot
Toddy"
cocktail
was
a
standout,
warming
and
perfectly
balanced,
prompting
us
to
order
it
twice.
While
the
hot
chocolate
was
good,
it
somewhat
paled
in
comparison
to
the
cocktails,
which
were
a
definite
highlight.
As
for
the
food,
the
meat
dishes
were
the
stars
of
the
evening.
Each
dish
was
flavorful
and
well-prepared,
leaving
us
thoroughly
impressed.
However,
the
momo,
a
dish
we
were
particularly
excited
about,
fell
a
bit
short.
It
lacked
the
finesse
and
flavor
we
expected,
indicating
a
need
for
some
reworking.
The
atmosphere
of
the
restaurant
was
one
of
its
strongest
points.
Despite
the
busy
Friday
night
crowd,
the
ambience
remained
enjoyable
and
added
to
our
overall
experience.
The
only
hiccup
was
the
service
-
it
was
a
bit
slow,
likely
due
to
the
restaurant
being
at
full
capacity.
In
conclusion,
"Twenty
Forty"
provided
a
nearly
perfect
dining
experience.
The
exceptional
cocktails,
delicious
meat
dishes,
and
the
overall
vibe
of
the
place
made
our
visit
memorable.
It's
a
place
I'd
recommend
for
anyone
looking
for
quality
food
and
a
lively
atmosphere
in
Kathmandu,
with
a
small
note
that
the
momo
could
use
some
improvement.
