Absolutely wonderful little park to walk in the middle of the city. Takes about 40 minutes to walk the outer ring and the upper inner ring. There's a small little cafe in the center of the park and there's a temple in the upper area. Lots of trees so it's nicely shaded during the daytime. We see a lot of couples taking formal pictures here for their wedding.

Great place for morning walk and exploring nature. Traditionally also this place is important as there is ajima temple. You can find aloevera and Jamara juice on a small canteen inside the park. Personally I find it somewhat dusty naturally so please avoid such path if you are allergic to dust or have respiratory problems. For botanical study also, the park is very valuable as you can find different types of plants and trees there. Sight seeing of army and army dogs training is partially possible. Notice: 10 rupees entrance fee is take if you are visiting there after 8 am

I think they should open it till 6 p.m because 4 p.m is very early considering people who want to come from a hectic day at work. Also, I think this place is very famous for wedding photoshoots.

Wonderful small park in heart of crowded Kathmandu city. Requires 10 rupees entry fee if going in day time. Park closes at around 4: 30 pm. So try to go little earlier. Ideal place to spend time with friends. On top there is a big tree which is absolutely beautiful.

Here is a pretty park whose entrance is paying...for only 10nrps if you manage a little, you will be able to access this haven of tranquility managed by a local committee, "ranibari community forest". You can make a loop of more than a kilometer there, without effort because the terrain is relatively flat and the path is well marked and laid out. However if you want to go to the small mound that I would call a hill, there is a very clean path with markets. But also more chaotic through! At the top, you can reach a small terrace dish to worship the Hindu gods and bring you all the prosperity you need for the rest of your day or even your life. Please note, the recommendations for use do not allow bicycles, you will only be there on foot, but also no alcohol, no cigarettes, cameras or video cameras are also not authorized so put your cameras away , no pets even on a leash, and no sound systems or any other music that could disturb the tranquility of this peaceful place. But here you can see superb specimens of varied trees, hear the songs of birds just as surprising, see monkeys there, once is not custom! If you feel like it and if you have the time, you can have a little tea or a snack near a bamboo hut for a very local price.

The place is big and pretty but I don't recommend going there in summer as there are tons of mosquitoes which not only bites u but stay infront of ur eyes. Good place for morning walk, exercise and photoshoot .

I come here for my morning runs - one of the best gifts close to my home. Trail running loop is 1.1 km, and the old trees and overall ambiance is simply amazing.

Heaven inside the concrete city. Which is unexpected place inside Kathmandu city. We can feel real nature experience with bird chirping, wild jackle, many kinds of rodents etc.. beautiful and perfect place for nature lover.

It's a wonderful surprise and a welcome escape from the noisy city crowd. The best part is, its right inside the city, also pretty close to where i live. The number of birds that reside here is even more astonishing.

Highly recommend visiting. We had such a pleasant experience here. Really a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Only 10 rps/person for entry. One lap around the park took about 20 minutes and I clocked it in at about .8 miles. I was especially pleasantly surprised by the size of the park, the maintenance and cleanliness, and the inexpensive cost of entry. Must visit if you’re in the city, so nice to escape from the chaos and walk around in a peaceful place.
