Good stuff! We like the Market! There were a lot of different cultural shops so you could buy goods from Turkey, Italy, and Spain. We bought some cheese with truffles and chili salami from the Italian stand, Which was of excellent quality. We had a lot of fun!

I have been coming to katowice for some years and this market square when l first came here was in need of some love!. Now after some years and a lot of hard work it is now a place to relax in. I recently went back to katowice for the Christmas market and it was just brilliant. The market had all the usual lights, Christmas decorations, gift/ food kiosks and a great atmosphere! I would highly recomend visting here.

This area was very lively. There was a great Christmas atmosphere with all of the little shops, food and drink vendors and displays. Great for all ages.

Nice place with lots of stalls and fun things to do. Many good stores and malls nearby too. Most of the tram lines also seem to pass by making it easy to reach.

At any time of the year it is beautiful to be, the contrast of the old with the structures of new buildings and shopping centers, make it something special. Food, banks, offices.

We visited on the 10th of August Very Modern Square with views over the skyline 🏙 of Katowice with lots of shops and stalls of people selling all sorts of fresh produce. It is located near Katowice Gallery and easy to get to. There are lots of restaurants and some delicious doughnuts I ate a few years ago . On the square, there is a fountain with flowers and modern architecture like the Katowice city hall (Urząd Miasta Katowice) around the place.Honestly a nice place anytime of the year with a lot to do with the nearby Katowice galleryfor example during the Winter there is a festive Winter❄️🎄 market Overall, I would say if you are visiting Katowice, I definitely get to know the place and the history of the region of Selesia, and if you are poping into the market, definitely buy some fresh produce 🫒🥙or pop in to the Katowice Gallery In addition, we were offered free refrigerated Coca-Cola on the Market Square nice addition 👍

The market square is awsome. They have festivals in the square. The market square is a beautiful setting for such events. Lots of people out walking and talking with each other.

The favorite Polish dish is bigos, in which we throw anything we can find (mostly sauerkraut). This is exactly what the market in Katowice is like — an architectural bigos (with prevalence of concrete and lack of vision). If someone wants to see how to destroy the scenic axis, how to create a place completely out of character but with a gigantic toilet in the middle, one should visit the Katowice market square. Fortunately, there are many other beautiful places in Katowice, besides the market square.

Surprisingly fresh looking, with a healthy mix of old and new buildings. You can feel you are in a vibrant changing city!

Nice place, you can find pretty everything. Architecture it's on th modern fashion more than the classical historical Polish buildings.

Great location, countless restaurants and pubs. Capital of Sląskie and the best part of Poland. 2 malls within walking distance. Galleria and Super sam. Mariacka Street is adjacent and well worth the stroll. Plenty of hotels and hostels. Great connections from Katowice Głowny to anywhere. The square features many historic and cultural exhibits and shops. Visit Katowice, PL.

Fantastic place to take a brake. Lots of benches around and of you are lucky somebody will play on the piano located at square. So dont forget bring with you coffe and some cakes to enjoy brake in the city.

To be precise, Katowice never really had market square per say, it was major junction for trams and cars in the last then was turned to n to some open space for Christmas markets and other events. Nowadays trams are still running through but no cars. Oldest building I suppose is the theatre. From the square you have a few minutes walk to train station, shopping malls and of course number of cafeterias and restaurants. Katowice in the past was a capital of heavy industry like coalminers and still factories, now it's a city full of concert halls parks and art galleries - who would be expecting such a turn, not me despite being born here years a go :)

Absolutely huge, a lot of space, nice decorations, crowds of people walking to and fro, a great number of cafes and restaurants nearby... Katowice is becoming a real European city which looks more and more like the nicest cities of the world.
