We went around 2pm on a Saturday the rush was over, waited awhile for the food. We ordered two large chicken fried steaks one with sweet potato fries, hush puppies the other with seasoned fries and fried green tomatoes. Sides were really good, but the “famous chicken fried steak” was horrible missing chucks of meat which was flat and chewy, the bread far exceeded the meat. Nothing famous about it. I wrote an email to let them know my experience only to get one word responses not very professional at all. I wanna support local mom and pop places but we will never ever be back.

Stopped here just outside of Houston on our way home from San Antonio and I'm glad we did. We were able to get a table immediately and the service was excellent. The Frisco Burger, open face with chili on top, was so good I already want another one. Don't pass without stopping here if you are in Katy, TX.

Ethan was awesome even though we arrived closer to close than I normally like to. Food was above expectations, and prices were decent as well. Pitchers are pork chop,super nachos and a Frisco burger 🍔 all were very tasty.

Tonight stopped inside the restaurant with my family for something to eat and glad we did!!! Johnny was I server and he provided awesome service and the food was delicious!!!! We will definitely be back on a Friday for the Catfish and to hear the live music!!!!! They give you plenty food and we feel “Fat Full” lol!!! And Steak actually made correctly.

Down home restaurant, cozy and friendly. Heavy duty tables and chairs, too. The chicken fried steak was one of the best I've ever had!! My wife got a burger and she loved it, also. The prices are reasonable, definitely a great value.

We love going to Texas Traditions. The atmosphere is always pleasant and staff is very friendly & always works as a team! We started off with fried green tomatoes. My grandmother used to make them when I was a kid & love to get fried green tomatoes when I can! My husband had a brisket burger on a jalapeño cheddar bun 🤤. The coleslaw was such an added extra it was delicious. I had the Tuesday special which was hamburger steak, fresh green beans, and homemade mashed potatoes. The hamburger steak had grilled onion (not soggy), mushroom gravy and the mashed potatoes had chunks which is like home cooking (without the mess) 😉 So much food I had to take my peach cobbler to go. We’ve never been disappointed.

DELICIOUS FOOD! We will be back time and time again. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice too! Food was excellent. Highly recommend trying the cole slaw it has a wonderful flavor. Brisket was excellent too.

Was working nearby, decided to stop in and grab a bacon/jalapeño cheeseburger. Service was great. Food came quick and was hot and fresh. The hamburger buns were fresh and good. Very neat little place. A little pricey but that wont keep me from coming back and trying something else 👍

Fresh cooked pork rinds. Oooo so good. BLT made with homemade bread. If you are in this area stop by you will enjoy it all.

Good stuff! I got the South Padre salad with grilled chicken but dressing on the side. Dressing is great if you love ginger. Might accompany the shrimp better. I ordered balsamic and jalapeño ranch on the side as well and OMG their homemade jalapeño ranch is the bomb. I would go again.
