I
was
referred
to
a
paediatrician.
My
child
had
extreme
abdominal
distension
and
constipation
that
came
on
very
suddenly,
as
well
as
fevers
and
dehydration.
They
did
an
X-ray
(Roentgen),
even
though
he
had
one
the
previous
day.
Maybe
they
don't
care
about
radiation
on
a
small
child?
The
doctor
seemed
nice
the
first
time
but
there
is
a
tendency
to
just
rely
on
the
first
information
they
see.
They
refused
to
do
further
tests
(they
should
have
sent
my
child
to
the
gastroenterologist).
They
should
have
given
my
child
an
intravenous
drip
for
rehydration
but
they
didn't.
This
is
even
after
they
took
a
urine
sample
and
it
was
very
dark.
There
were
many
symptoms
they
did
not
consider,
even
after
preparing
a
translated
medical
history.
The
doctor
prescribed
kampo
herbal
medicine.
It
tastes
really
bad
(as
they
often
do)
but
I
persisted
in
giving
it
to
my
child
for
a
few
days.
My
child
refused
to
take
more
than
that.
It
took
care
of
the
distention
(or
perhaps
that
was
a
coincidence)
but
did
nothing
for
the
constipation.
The
doctor's
advice
was
just
to
keep
taking
the
herbal
medicine
(even
though
my
child
spits
it
out)
and
refused
again
to
do
anything
for
the
dehydration,
refused
to
check
the
reason
for
the
fever
(he
said
"it's
because
your
child
goes
to
nursery
school"
-
even
though
my
child
had
been
off
for
over
a
week
by
that
time).
This
answer
was
nonsense.
He
suggested
I
mix
the
kampo
with
ice
cream
or
condensed
milk
(as
if
this
will
disguise
the
taste
of
licorice,
ginger,
cinnamon
and
bitter
herbs).
My
child
cannot
have
dairy
products
and
this
was
written
on
his
form!
The
doctors
here
really
don't
care
whether
you
have
to
take
weeks
off
work
for
a
sick
child
that
they
could
have
helped
the
first
time.
I
went
twice.
Each
time
there
was
a
problem.
The
first
time
they
tried
to
pretend
I
arrived
too
late
to
get
an
appointment,
and
I
was
given
incorrect
directions
of
which
room
to
go
to.
The
second
time,
they
lost
my
paperwork.
I
left
the
hospital.
Disgusting
service.
The
doctor
promised
to
call
me
but
when
I
answered
the
phone
he
hung
up.
I
ended
up
going
to
a
private
hospital
which
cost
only
60
yen
more
than
this
place
(which
works
out
cheaper
because
I
only
had
to
go
once).
I'm
happy
if
the
Iryo
doctors
help
you
but
it's
hard
to
respect
nonsense
like
this.
