Beautiful architecture worth worship! We went there several times during my visit in Nur Sultan. Finally we visited inside on a Friday prayer. I was amazed by this first visit to a grand mosque as a non religious person. Peace and respect were the spirits.

For each masjid is a place to calm your heart and soul in a world of problems and concerns. This is the magnificent Hazrat or Hazret Sultan Mosque, (Holy Sultan) It is the largest mosque in Central Asia and is located on the right bank of the Yesil River in Astana, the very modern capital of Kazakhstan Constructed in 3 years (2009-2012) this beautiful place of worship can impressively accommodate five thousand worshipers easily and on holidays - up to 10 thousand people. Now that’s simply amazing!.

Very picturesque mosque, we went during the day when there was no scheduled prayer, but there were still a handful of people in there. Males enter from left side of entrance and females right. Women have to cover most skin obviously and also are supposed to stay on their side (there are barriers) However, we are told by a local that usually tourists are allowed to roam around to appreciate the mosque(not gender restraint of where you can walk)

Amazingly beautiful mosque in the city center. Not only is the mosque breathtaking, but it is also near the national museum and the palace of peace and reconciliation, making for an excellent stop on a walking tour of the city. After decades of Soviet rule with religion as a taboo topic, Kazakhstan is seeking to establish its identity as a spiritual and religiously tolerant society. When the new capital city was built, it included symbols of this movement in the form of mosques, a synagogue, and orthodox Christian churches. All are open to the public and interesting places to visit and learn about religion in post-soviet Kazakhstan.

I experienced heavy snowfall while visiting the mosque at -20deg C. The mosque was simply magical with it's intricate design. The main praying area was huge and signify the Islamic history. A must for all Muslim visiting Kazakhstan

If you were looking for the maximum religious atmosphere, then this is the place where you want to go. Hazrat Sultan Mosque is the biggest mosque in Astana the capital of Kazakhstan. It’s very clean and well organized, there is many shelves for shoes storage. I like the way how they put the name of “Allah” and the prophets on the walls inside the mosque. You will start gaining positive energy as soon as they start the “Azan”. I was there in Friday prayer 13th of July 2018.

incredible mosque. Amazing architecture! But the most amazing this is that even if you are not that close, you can hear the prayings and they have a lot of power.

It's the largest Mosque in Nur-Sultan city constructed in early 2000s. Normality it's open all.the day for prayers and for visitors. As far as I know this place can be visited only by muslims, which is normal rule as in most mosques in the world (as I know)

Beautiful architecture but horrible people especially men, who work there. If you're a tourist and a woman, be careful because they will comment on what you are wearing. I travel to Astana every year, but am never going to this place again

Driving around in Astana, one cannot but be amazed at the many buildings with different shapes and styles, all unique in its own. Then one notices the huge white mosque close to the Yesil River and near the Palace of Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. From faraway, the minarets and whiteness stands out even in the whiteness of snow. It is the Hazret Sultan Mosque, which is the second largest mosque in Central Asia after Turkemenistan's Türkmenbaşy Ruhy Mosque. The mosque building was constructed in the classic Islamic/Oriental style with the main color of the façade and interior design being white with the finishing using traditional Kazakh ornaments. It occupies an area of 11 hectares and is able to house up to 10,000 people. The area of the buildings amounts to 17.7 square meters and includes tabernacles, a hall for wedding ceremonies, a restaurant, rooms for Koran reading, seminar rooms, as well as a very large cloakroom with attendants and а ablution room. The ablution area is very modern making use of air dryers instead of conventional towels. The Central Hall is supported by massive white columns and has a small fountain with evergreen trees. A small shop selling Islamic art is also on one side together with an enquiries counter. The “Hazrat Sultan” has the largest dome in Kazakhstan, 51 meters in height and 28 meters in width. The main dome is surrounded by eight small ones, at the corners there are four 77 m-high minarets.

(Translated by Google) The house of God - it is beautiful anyway. You can close your eyes to many things. Unfortunately, there is no service in our country. As a tourist, of course, I faced the mediocrity of our brothers and sisters. Yesterday, for the fact that the mask (I forgot my own at home) was given free of charge and did not shout and indicated where to go to read the Koran - I am very grateful. Perhaps yesterday just an Angel was at the entrance ... Maybe just lucky ... The behavior of an employee who does readings of the Quran many times is also poor. But, this is in all the mosques in the country. Their behavior and attitudes are all the same ... They themselves do not behave quite correctly, and besides, they will not tell us women: "Dear sister, apai or Khanym, please sit behind the backs of men as much as possible, but not in the first row. Thank you for your understanding", well, something like that. And men go to the first row ... I understand that this is a mini ritual, but still this educational part is very important. And you yourself, too, need to sit correctly while reading the Koran, and not lie back on your beautiful chair. Also, I will find out if there are excursions for tourists, a kitchen and an overnight stay for a wanderer. This is the House of Allah !!!

Probably the biggest masjid in Kazakhstan. Especially liked summer camp organized for kids. There were classes both for boys and girls. They learn basics of religion, Arabic and Qur'an. Quite a lot people came for taraweeh prayer in Ramadan.
