I have never met a more passionate person than the english tour guide in Almaty Museum. Continued the tour even after museum had closed and explained everything in great detail including current political situation. Will highly recommend getting tour guide, its only 500 tenge. Worth every penny.

If you want to learn the history of the city and the whole region this is the place . With the inexpensive amount of 500 Tenge per person as entrance and another 500 Tenge for a guided personal tour Aynour told all we need to know about the history but also for aspects of life in modern Kazakastan. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) It is a very interesting museum with a huge personal cult. We looked, it was interesting and further strengthened in us what we already knew about "eastern" democracies. I would rather not write my opinion here, but definitely worth a look. See my pictures: (Original) Nagyon érdekes múzeum, óriási személyi kultusszal.

The best museum in all of Central Asia in my humble opinion. It’s modern, tech driven with plenty of deep dive details on the touch screen monitors. If you’re and English speaker and want to learn about Kazakhstan’s illustrious history from humble beginnings to its present day this is the place to be.

Some rooms are allowed to take pictures, some are not. The museum is free. It's one of the newest museums in Almaty and focuses on the history of the city and the major incident throughout the years. There are a few Chambers and you may well see the whole place in an hour. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very nice small new museum. There are about 6-8 rooms, each of them dedicated to some period of city. There are also kazakh, russian, english speaking guides. Ticket is 3 USD for each person. You can take guide for 3 USD for all people. Also there are different rooms with some art objects of young artists in the left after wardrobe

Expensive for what you get. The building itself is very nice on the exterior, and there are good English explanations. However, there are not many exhibits - we spent about 15 minutes there. For 1500 tenge per person it seems overpriced. (Were we overcharged? Other reviews from a few months ago say it's 500T.)

(Translated by Google) Terrible place. In general, we rented a house. The territory is huge 12 hectares, all abandoned and dirty, bottles are lying around, garbage dump on the territory and flies ... flies and again flies, there are so many of them. It was impossible to sit everywhere they fly over food and bite all night. When asked the staff why they don't poison, the answer is unique: August! It makes sense. The pre-house territory of the house is not well-groomed, the toilet is street and dirty, there is no washbasin and this is a period of a pandemic. The most trash, you rent a house for a day, and the parking lot is paid 3000 tenge, that is, you don't want to pay, leave your car behind a fence for 12 hectares. Resume for 8 people House 20.000 tenge for 3 people Additional payment for each of 3.000 tenge And parking of cars, and there were three of them 3,000 each. For such a place 44,000 per day is not worth it. There are definitely better places for the money. My rating is one star 🌟 (Original) Ужасное место.

(Translated by Google) It is just that, a museum of Nazarbayev, the first president, doing things for his country and with many photos of himself with other people or himself. Then you discover something of the country, when they separated from Russia and how they have been advancing but little, all focused on the Nazarbayev. What I liked most was a plaque with the shield of Kazakhstan, beautiful, and the meeting room of the presidency council (or something similar) that was cool. In addition, there is a part of the history of weapons, typical of any museum. Worth? Well ... It's free, and it depends on your time. I recommend going in Yandex (the Uber from there) to there and already touring the city walking from there down, seeing what you want to see.

When you have been to kazachstan you can not miss out on seeing the first presidents photo somewhere.. His story is an interesting one. He worked as a metal worker and then became president. How this happend? I have sadly no idea, i went to the museum and nothing was written in english. The staff don't care to show you where the museum goes on or where it stops. It is interesting to see his office. But i would loved to have know more about the origin story of the first president of kazakhstan

(Translated by Google) I love museums in principle. The Almaty Museum is located in the city center, located in a beautiful house of the 19th century .... And, probably, these are all its advantages, with the exception of a few interesting exhibits. When visiting, we took a guide, but the tour was still uninformative. In addition, the guide could not tell anything more about how to name which era the hall was and to list several exhibits from each hall. The exposition is extremely small and unhistorical. And I was counting on the history of the city based on the name.

500 Tenge per person. Basically $1.25 (USD) for a 45 - 60 minute tour. Great value that quickly ran over the history of the city and country starting from the bronze age to the 70s and 80s. Most of the info was in Kazakh, Russian and English. They have a smartphone app for translations to other languages as well.

This museum is small but shows a comprehensive history of the city. It has exhibitions from the Huns, Mongols till the foundation of Verny, and developments in the 20th century. This building is also the oringal building of the French architect who dedicated his life to this city.

Here, you will find the roots of the culture of Almaty and kazakhastan. The guide from almaty nicely explained everything to us. The building itself is carrying a vibrant legacy of Russian history.

There was a lot of information available in the kiosks of each room. I also enjoyed listening to the audio recordings available online.
