Five star price and five star name for 3 star experience. First, they ripped us off by a LOT of money. They obviously make it a regular thing to swindle foreign businesmen and are not accustomed to traveling families. We wanted to go to a museum a bit out of town, we could have taken a bus for almost nothing, but it was worth it to us to pay $30 (15,000Tenge) to take a private taxi the hotel said they would arrange for us. When we returned from our trip, the hotel charged us 40,000TG ($85)!!! That's a $55 difference in what they told us the price would be and what the price actually was. When I was clearly upset the receptionist looked at me like something was wrong *with me*. He said "it's not even double the price, what's the problem?" What's the problem??? What's the problem??? First I had to teach him basic math then I had to explain to him what the problem was. He went to talk to the manager and they agreed to take 10,000TG off. That still that still made us pay DOUBLE THE PRICE WE HAD BEEN QUOTED. And the guy had the nerve to look at me like I was the one in the wrong. Oh, they did give us a fruit basket with an apology card later that night. I'd rather have my thirty bucks back. Second, they don't have a hot tub. They have what should be a hot tub but the water is cold. Third, there's a hair dryer in the bathroom but nowhere to plug it in. You have to take it out into the bedroom where there's no mirror if you want to use it. Fourth, overall the breakfast was very good but on our last morning, this morning, the chicken sausage was server cold and still raw in the middle. Now, if you're still reading this the bed was comfortable and the curtains are true blackout curtains. The room gets nice and dark at night. If you're there for a con and won't be leaving anyway I'm sure it's fine, if you're a tourist then I recommend staying somewhere else because this place is pretty far away from all the museums and touristy destinations.

Nice place to stay in Astana. The Hilton is 20 minutes by cab from the airport. It is right next to the Expo site and is a modern hotel. My room was spacious. The furniture of the room was stylish. The hotel's amenities also include a lounge for status clients, a spa area with a pool, and a rooftop bar. The breakfast offer was very large and delicious. The staff was friendly and professional at all times. Not all of the staff spoke English. Overall, I can recommend a stay.

We asked for them to call a rental taxi for us to visit a museum out of town. They said it would be 10 dollars an hour (rounding from local currency). They expected we'd need 4 hours. It took 3. So I was prepared to pay 40 instead of 30, maybe they had to pay in advance. After the trip the front desk asked for 80 dollars. We asked why and they told us service fee. I would have called the taxi myself if I'd known that there was a 100 percent service fee. We complained and they reduced the total to 60 and gave us an apology fruit bowl of a couple of apples and pears. Felt like a total rip off. The sauna was really nice.

Ranking is based against 'Luxury Hotels' and not against 'Hotels in General'. Cons: Spa staff are regularly absent, locker rooms (incl. showers) are not cleaned/ tidied often enough. Nowhere near enough space in the pool compared to the number of rooms. TV channels are rather limited, and mini bar smelled bad. Internet was rather limited. Pros: Reception was kind and helpful. Views were nice. Met Expectations: Room was clean, breakfast was lovely and lots of choice between sweet and savory meals. Room service was good.

It's a star hotel just for name sake, very silly A/C is not working and receptionist told me like there is only one technician but still not yet solved the problem, after morethan an hour of my checkin the technician came finally and starts working. Please remind, the A/c should work by default because this is star hotel but the technician holding the remote and finally on the A/C, this is really very poor service....

The most golden Hilton I've ever seen. Beautiful, very clean. Service is exceptional. Located near Expo and big shopping center. Lots of restaurants around.

Very nice hotel. Only slight issue was that the air conditioner couldn't quite keep up during the day, but not a big enough deal to not give 5 stars

Very high level of service, clean room and very attentive personnel. They accommodated all my reasonable requests (late check in and check out). Very good and tasty buffet in the morning!

Prices have increased by a factor of 2 to 3, not in line with inflation.

Perfect location, rooms are nice. Only issue is front office staff, their attitude is very blunt. I am surprised that it is hilton standard. I have stayed more than 20countries and different hilton brands. Third visit to kazak too. But never seen such service. Always finding a way to make some money. My wife is pregnant and i was traveling with 9year old. Other staff are very friendly. From f&b to housekeeping.

Various events are often held in the hotel and many drunk, aggressive and immoral people are moving around. I don't know if there are security guards at the hotel or not, I'm speaking from my personal experience, I almost got into a fight with someone who was drunk. In short, be careful...

The Hilton Astana is a beautiful hotel which is perfectly located for the expo and close to the airport however it's a 10-15 minute drive into the city centre where most of the restaurants and tourist attractions are. The lobby of the hotel is incredible and the rooms are spacious. The bathrooms have both a bathtub and a shower. The spa includes a pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, sauna and steam room which are free for guests to visit and they also offer paid services such as massages. My only criticism is that housekeeping did not clear some dirty cocktail glasses from our room over a 2 day stay, even after asking reception to have them removed.

We booked 3 days before arrival and had a confirmation at this hotel, but when we arrived they told us that they were overbooked and no availability. For the last 30 years, travelling all over the world, I never faced such an incident especially with a 5 star hotel except at hilton astana. What a scam, worst experience ever.

Loved this hotel! One of the most hospitable staff I have ever seen in the hotels. Great location, free underground parking and spacious spa area. The hotel is quite new with cool thoughtful design. Worth getting the room with the Expo view.

Hilton Astana is the best place to stay when visiting Nur-Sultan. Very comfortable, the bed was amazing. The view from the room to expo was really good. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in my life, I wanted to thank Azhar, Assem, Aruzat, Amir, Aida, Mukhitdin and all the other members of breakfast. All the members from the hotel are very friendly and hospitable, even though i wasn’t home I felt like home. Thank you Hilton Astana for this great experience ).

We have got a very good experience of how professionally was solved one mistake, that had been done during the booking by phone. During phone conversation we agreed for the 2 room suite, but after arrival it was revealed that our booking is for one room suite. We were very disappointed, because had already paid. After discussion with Hilton management they accepted that there was a misunderstanding and to recover from the this situation they prepared the 2 room suite for us. Our mood obviously improved, because we were about to ask for cancellation. In general, the quality of service of Hiltan Astana is at very high level, we fully enjoyed all facilities, restaurant, sauna, swimming pool, gym, and breakfast is very variable and tasty. We will be happy to visit Hilton Astana and will recommend it to our friends.

One of the worst 5 star experiences I've ever had. Constant lies and deciet. None of the mini bar fridges in the entire hotel work. Which they lied about. Tried to move me to a new room with a working fridge. That didn't work. And then admitted none of them in the hotel worked after 4 hours. Lies, evasion, cowardly passing the buck to the lowest member of staff, pretending to send a maintainace man to fix a fridge he knew wouldn't work. Reception hanging up. Dragging me up to the 7th floor for a room that worked and didn't work. A disgrace and shambles and the managers are the biggest cowards I've ever encountered. Hilton should be ashamed of itself. Look at this electricity work in the wet sauna! Wow. Just wow. Terrible awful. Avoid

BEWARE KIDS PARK Booked this hotel in financial district hoping to get get some quite time. Instead the pool & SPA area were children’s waddle pool. Screams and cries, strollers everywhere. Same at breakfast. Utterly disappointed by these family promos they are running. Not congruent with Hilton in that location.
