**Unbelieveable, 400€ from my wallet were stolen by the house keeping staff at the Sheraton Nursultan** Im a TITANIUM Elite Member with Marriott, due to my work I travel a lot. I have using their hotels for over 12 years, this year along i have logged more than 100 nights at Marriott Hotels. I have never had an incident in my whole life, please read below because this is very serious and concerning. On the 6th of May i checked in the Sheraton Nursultan, i left on the 7th to go to Jeddah, on the evening of the 8th i realised i had forgotten my wallet in the room at the Sheraton Nursultan. My colleague, who had done the reservation, contacted them via the Bonvoy app chat option, and after a few minutes they said they had found my wallet. It was strange to me that having left the hotel over 36hrs ago, they hadnt emailed me or call me to let me know that the wallet had been found, but anyway, luckily the following day we were flying back to Nursultan and staying at the same hotel so i could recover my wallet. When we reached the hotel again on the 9th of May, they handed over my wallet, and to my surprise ALL the money i had in notes, 400€, was gone!!!!! Unbelievable! I spoke to them and let them know there were 400€ in notes of 50€ in the wallet. Of course everyone was very surprised and concerned and talked to their staff, managers, security etc and OF COURSE, they said there was no money in the wallet when they found it. Unbelievable, to encounter such a high level of unprofessionalism in such a high level hotel, truly shocking! What is actually more shocking is realising that they actually had no intentions to return my wallet at all, and only decided to do so when my colleague messaged them asking for my wallet and letting them know that we were actually coming back the following day, the 9th of May. The reason i came to this conclusion is because there was a paper attached to my wallet when they handed over to me, where it said when it was found and who found it, and the date written on it was the 6th of May. I only left the hotel on the 7th, the 6th the wallet was still with me. So probably they wrote it in a rush trying to cover up. Also, how come, being such a repeated customer, having all my details, address, email, telephone numbers etc they didnt contact me to let me know they found my wallet??? The whole thing is very sad and i totally feel betrayed by a chain i have put so much trust on over so many years. How can my colleagues and i feel safe again if it is proven that their staff is untrustworthy? Unfortunately, I have left the hotel without my 400€, hope this gets sorted and my money returned, as this is a huge issue of integrity, image and reputation. Needless to say we wont be using the Sheraton Nursultan again and this incident will be reported to my company, so no one else stays here again. And maybe reconsider using HILTON more often as we are also DIAMOND members with them. Great way to loose business!! Before leaving on the 10th of May, I have warned the staff, i wont be publishing this review if my money is returned, but they said they cannot do anything about it and need to carry on their “investigation”. Very, very sad.

I had an excellent stay at the Sheraton Astana Hotel! The hotel is modern with large, comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet runs until 11am, perfect if you want to sleep in. The spa is fantastic with a large, heated indoor pool, the biggest sauna I have ever seen and steam rooms. It’s a must visit, especially in winter! The staff are all also very friendly and nice. The location is also great. The hotel is right next door to Abu Dhabi Plaza, which contains many restaurants, cafes, stores and a supermarket. On the other side of the hotel is the Baiterek Tower monument. A perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Astana.

Poor. For a 5 star hotel, the service was slow and butlers need more polishing. The lift would stop working. The worst was, the toilet had only glass wall, and so there was no privacy. The tv didnt work with streaming services, the hotel personnel couldn't solve it either. Check in process was too long. By the time I was in the suite, they were still preparing my suite. This is not what you expect in a 5star hotel.

A 5 star hotel like this one should receive 5 stars everywhere... But AC is not always responding on demand and last but not least, some rooms are equipped with smoke detectors flashing way too brightly. Why having so good curtains, but such flashing red LEDs on the ceiling ???

The main problem is that the rooms are too hot and it does not seem possible to properly control the temperature. I stayed for 2 nights in September and the room was sweltering. Setting the air con to low and fan to high speed seemed to not solve the problem of the hot room. Windows do not open. The bathroom has heated floors which cannot be turned off and the heat permeates through the entire room. Check-in and check-out were easy. Breakfast was good. View from 4th floor room was not exciting. I recommend St. Regis instead because every room has a balcony with doors that open to the outside so it's easier to regulate temperature. Too hot hotel rooms is a common problem in Central Asia but I'm disappointed Sheraton also suffers from this problem.

Brand new hotel, very good rooms, nice personnel and good food. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel. Good location. Seemed a fair price.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the city center. Close to the golden mile and not far from the river where there is an abundance of nice restaurants. The hotel staff are all amazing, friendly and super helpful!! There is a very nice lounge located on the second floor where they serve soup for lunch and in the evening a variety of very delicious diner snacks with alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. Downstairs you can find Salters steakhouse. A super cozy restaurant with a very nice interior where they serve delicious meals such as steak, prawns, diver scallops ( my favorite), ceviche… The bartenders there prepare you the most wonderful cocktails ( please do try the old fashioned 🥳, it’s amazing!!) Last but not least there is the spa of the hotel. Very nice swimming pool and top of the notch spa area with hammam, sauna and relaxing area. There are also different massage options and the massage therapists really do a superb job getting the tension out of my muscles!! A big thank you to all of the members of the hotel!!

The food and beverages that they served in the lounge are excellent. The staff especially Olzhal and Aruzhan are extremely helpful and friendly. Olzhal went all out to help my hubby solved his SIM card problem. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful too. I needed small notes for tips. The staff was willing to change for me. The housekeeping staff kept my room clean n tidy too. Replenish the toiletries too. Definitely keep up the high standard of Sheraton.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. Most hotels can be comparable in the ambience and location etc but what sets this hotel apart is the friendly staff. Everyone from the bell boy to receptionists to the servers makes you feel at home. Assemgul, Aliya, Bekulstan, Arilym, Gulsezim and Dias are just a few names to mention for the excellent hospitality. Location is very central as it is adjacent to the famous Abu Dhabi plaza. A visit to the spa and pool is highly recommended during the stay.

Saying at this place for the Second time. The Hotel location is excellent. Staff is client oriented. Gym could be improved by edding more modern ewuipment to strech.

I was really impressed with my stay at Sheraton Astana. I stayed there with my family for 3 days and it was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! The staff were super respectful and friendly. They made sure I was comfortable as it was my first time in Kazakhstan. Overall, I enjoyed the delicious food, clean rooms, amazing SPA, convenient location and so much more! The Sheraton in Astana is a first-class, modern hotel with a friendly and excellent staff. Special shout-out to the excellent wait staffs at both restaurants (smiling at you, Tatiana) and the great staff up in the Club Lounge (thanks Olzhas, Tatiana and Ekaterina). I stayed for 4 weeks and will definitely stay there again when I return to Astana.

We got a good deal as conference participants. The food at the restaurant was very good, though there were very few local specialties. The facilities were perfect. The room was very comfortable. The temperature control almost made us forget that outside was less than 20 degree centigrade. Walking to close-by landmarks was difficult given the weather and the snow. At the tenth floor I got a nice view of a nearby mosque and shopping center.

I stayed 3 nights overall. Perfect location, wonderful breakfast, professional reception, punctual airport hotel taxi, functional & cozy rooms. Bar and reception area are fine but too functional, clinical, not inviting enough for me. I paid double the price of a good Astana Hilton Garden Inn, which is not fully justified. Nevertheless, thank you for the nice stay. Might return.

The Sheraton Astana is probably one of the nicest places to stay in Astana. It's reasonably new, the rooms are nice and the location is perfect. The staff are extremely nice and friendly. The food in Emilia restaurant is really good. If you like a different setting, you can go to Salter's restaurant, where you can also just sit at the bar and watch the bartenders turn cocktail mixing into an art. Erbol and his staff are top and will guide you through the menu. If you can use the business lounge, Maria and Yekaterina will welcome you with a big smile and make you feel at home. The hotel also has an excellent spa area with a big pool, sauna, hamam, gym, etc. The massage treatments are great, and I can strongly recommend Aiman as a therapist.
