Fast friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. At least 18 craft beers on tap and a wide selection of delicious brick-oven pizza. The hulahula and the spring lager were our favorites.

Pretty solid Brewery stop, especially for Nebraska. The staff was friendly and on top of things. Pizza was okay and probably tasted better because of the amount of time we were on the road that day. Otherwise it was underwhelming. Overall a decent stop, and a better stop if you are just looking for beer.

Service: Fine. Pizza: So far from good. How can you advertise "brick oven", but bake your pizzas at 500 degrees? The toppings are fine, eclectic, creative, but the pizza tasted a lot like Elio's, soft/almost raw crust (not crunchy like normal brick oven), thin and flimsy, cheap cheese, almost not even cooked fully. I might call myself a pizza connoisseur, make traditional Naples-style pizza and other kinds often. This was some of the worst pizza I've ever had (aside from the Pizza Hut/Dominos style chains). They didn't even have oregano as a condiment, which was a surprise at such a high-rated "brick oven" establishment. Seriously, have had way better pizza. Beer: Thanks.

Worth the stop passing through for a couple of good IPAs, and a lot of options on tap if that’s not your taste. Friendly staff, good service, and good beer. The food options are very limited though, and the pizza is ok but nothing special.

Neat pub and bar. They do have food, but we just went for drinks. They do have a special everyday and by doing the special you can save a lot of money! Lots of in house brewed drinks to choose from, even a few seltzers for those who don't like beer. Pretty affordable as well.

Amazing! We were in town for the cranes and ended up at this local gem. Super wide variety of beer selection (lavender beer!), extremely friendly staff, cheap prices, and great food. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

A great experience at Thunderhead! The pizza and pretzel bites were amazing. The drinks were great as well. I tried the punch and then the beer. All in all, a quality time.

Love this place! Bobbie was so friendly! Huge selection. Clean place. Add this to your short list & you won’t be disappointed. Rootbeer and pretzels are great for kids!

So much good stuff yo say about this place! We enjoyed the food and beer so much, we just kept ordering! We split two beer flights, and found several varieties to be excellent. Pizza was super good and very reasonably priced. The biggest surprise was the pretzels, which are absolutely worth trying! Our bartender was great to interact with as well.

Normally the service is top notch but we sat for 15 minutes before our server even stopped by, walked by numerous times. Took our order, the. 20 minutes later asked us to pay our bill. We reminded him we had not gotten our pizza. He looked confused and said oh okay. Reminded him two more times and then finally got out pizza. Again not the typical service we have had in the past... Disappointed with the most recent visit and service by the male upstairs server on Dec 16th.

The pizza, cheese bread and beer are 5 stars. Some of the other items on the menu are not nearly as good. Basically, if you order something high in carbs it will be excellent. Salads, potatoes and those sorts of things are average at best. Giving 5 stars because for the things I order they are excellent.

Went to thunderhead brewing based on the reviews and a love of beer. Arrived and was told it's open seating up or downstairs. Grabbed a booth and placed an order for a couple beers. The beers arrived flat, no head and roughly 20 minutes after they were ordered. My colleague didn't like the beer he had chosen and the waitress offered to take this beer off the bill and get him something else. She offered a few samples and we placed our order. Our calzones arrived and they were excellent! Good flavor and just the right size to be filling. The beer samples arrived after we finished eating. We decided not to stick around for another round and I paid our bill and we left. When I arrived home and checked the bill my colleagues beer was still on there, which truly i have no problem with but overall I won't be back for the beer or service.

We sat upstairs during the evening and our son had a pretzel and we shared a greek style pizza, with some Thunderhead beers, and it was all fantastic. We even ordered a pretzel to go to take take to our daughter, which she devoured.

Great little brew pub! Have the artichoke calzone! Avoid the thunder head spud, it was filling but very disappointing in flavor. Actually I think they completely forgot the Alfredo. Beer was good, nice atmosphere too.

Service and food are great. Got a great beer selection and haven't been disappointed in any of their beers. Highly recommend the pizza and artichoke bread bowl dip.

Great beer and great pizza! Service was about average though. The bartender missed my order of pizza, but it was very understandable as the place was absolutely buzzing! If you're in the area would recommend if you want local brew or pizza.

Beer was good, pizza was good. They seem to have a good regular crowd. Some different flavors of house brew. I would return.

Yummy pizzas and nachos with generous proportions. My wife and I each got a flight of their seasonal/limited craft beer. Flavors of beer were amazing and fun to jot down notes about each beer as we drank them. Also very kid friendly as we had our 10 year old daughter along. They have daily specials as well so we walked out with 2 six packs that you can mix and match if you want and got the daily special of $1 off each six pack. Attentive and friendly service. Highly recommend if you like to try different local craft beer!

Great little spot! We tried 3 different flights of beer and enjoyed most all of them. Our favorites were the Honey Wheat, Peach Wheat, and Lavender Kolsch. The Thunderhead pizza was delicious-we wished we would have ordered the bigger size! We also got the nachos, but definitely would try a second pizza rather than getting the nachos again.

Very inviting taphouse. You know how some places act like you're dumb because you think IPAs taste like Pine Sol? Thunderhead is not that place. The bartender was very accommodating to my buddy who doesn't know a hefe from a porter and still answered all my questions. We did not try the pizza because we had other plans, but the pizza looked great and if we were to be in Kearney one more day, we'd have planned on their pizza.

Genuinely great bar food. The pizzas are the real standouts here. With thin wood fired crusts it's easy enough to split a large between two.

First time at the brewery in Kearney. The Cornstalker Wheat has always been one of my all time favorites and I will order this wherever I go. (unfortunately, it's not available everywhere) My wife tried a flight and the Lavender was a surprise hit. Aroma was, of course, lavender, but the taste was perfect. A nice finish for sure. Our waitresses were wonderful...so friendly and helpful. The food menu looked great, but we had reservations elsewhere. This is worthy of a road trip and overnight stay, in our opinion. Great job Thunderhead, and Kearney!

The pizza was good, not great, but would order again, I thought there was a good variety of beer and my choices were very good. For me it was a five because of the bartender, I don’t know her name but she was great. Talked a lot, normally that bothers me a little but not with her, she was great with customers. She was doing chalk art on the taps, I’d go back just to see her interact with customers. I enjoyed my visit

A cool little vintage brewery. It could use some updating but the beer was superb and that's what matters. I don't even remember what we ordered but it was good. I would certainly come here again if I am ever in the area.

Local Brewery, actual brewing is completed a few miles south at their main location. I can not stress enough, this beer is GOOD! I've been to a few breweries from Canada down to Florida, as far as Kansas. This is top tier beer at an absolutely crazy wallet saving price. Did I mention they have a food menu? Great local place. If I ever go back to the City of Kearney for work, I will be stopping here again.
