Moon Cafe

Restaurant

🫤 Different prices on the menu outside. So we read the menu outside and order some food. The bill was higher than expected because outside are "old" prices. 60.000 is way to much for a Nasi Campur (on the menu it was listed with 40.000). We live on Bali so we know the usual prices. Food is average but... People often mention good, friendly, fresh, great, family, Amed, Balinese,

I feel bad only giving 4 stars as the staff are really lovely and I came here most nights. Hope they will take this review as construction criticism. The beers weren't the coldest for me and they did seem to run out.. the food was average. The burgers tasted a bit odd. The buns weren't the freshest and the club sandwich was also not the best. I did read similar comments in other reviews so hopefully they improve and it will be well worth 5 stars...

When I arrived in Amed I was looking for something to eat. When I drove past Moon Cafe everyone was so friendly I decided to stop. Supporting small businesses and local families is important to me and this is a true family business. Dewi the mom runs the resto and her daughter Cynthia cooked my meal. And Adi, the father, is a driver and runs tours. What a team they make! I’m a solo traveler and they sat and chatted with me, taught me some Balinese words, and shared some of their favorite places to visit with me. It was like sharing a meal with dear friends and I felt so welcomed and comfortable there. Plus the food was great, (Vegan tofu curry) and they even made me a custom green juice not listed in the menu. All freshly prepared for a fair price. Please come support this lovely family and share a meal with them. Here’s a picture of the family, sadly I didn’t take a pic of the food cause I ate it too fast.

Moon cafe is fresh and delicious. While staying in Amed, I ate here almost every day. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to hear one of the girls who works here singing from the kitchen. She has a beautiful voice. There’s also a cute dog running around.

Delicious food for a good price and we were lucky to walk in while some live music was being played! Best nasi campur we have had so far! They also have a really cute puppy.

Great restaurant/warung. The food is delicious and the family is great. Adi is picking up people from boat arrival from Gili and can arrange good transport for you. Dewi runs the restaurant. Thanks for nice day.

Definitely the best Balinese food we had while staying in Amed. We really enjoyed the Balinese Tofu Curry(without the tofu) and the Cap Cay. The family that run this Warung are super friendly and accommodating to any kind of food requests you have. We walked in one day when they were closed (accidentally), and she opened just for us! Even though we apologised and said we will go somewhere else for dinner! Give it a try! You won't be dissapointed.

Absolutely happy with having eaten there. We had Gado Gado, Cap Cay, Green Salad & Fruit Salad. Everything was very very tasty and fresh! Can not recommend that place more! No AC but whatever, we are not made out of sugar. Prices for the portions are super good!

I tried Ayam nenas, Grilled fresh barracuda, rujak and tofu crispy. All of them are delicious and the owner gave us freshly made sambal matah. Definitely gonna come back again next visit.

We had Grilled fish with Balinese sauce and Beef Rendang. They both come with rice and some stir fried vegetables. The fish was fresh and the Balinese sauce was very tasty and spicy as I asked for extra spicy. Beef Rendang had good flavor too. Five stars service and very friendly.

This place is awesome, great food and atmosphere and a beautiful family, if you’re in Amed you definitely need to give this place a try, nothing is too much trouble, you will NOT be disappointed…and ask Sintia to sing for you… voice of an angel.

2 meals there first was a local Pork dish, very nice, 2nd meal was a Club Sandwich which was very ordinary, cut in half and all over the place, stale bread, miniscule fries/chips. Seems like food there is good but need to improve their Club Sandwich as it is not up to standard.

Small place with great food, nice atmosphere and with very reasonable prices. We were here a few times because the other places looked a little deserted and this place always has a couple people eating. We tried a variety of dishes and they were always surprisingly tasteful. Certainly recommended
