I recently had the pleasure of staying at Meditasi in Bali for the second time, and it truly deserves a glowing 5-star review. Initially drawn by the hotel's ideal location and breathtaking scenery during my first 3-day stay, I decided to return for a two-month exploration of Balinese culture and cuisine. The position of the hotel, nestled 25 minutes away from major restaurants and cafes, is compensated by the captivating coral reef, diverse marine life, and extraordinary snorkeling and diving experiences just steps away. Meditasi not only provides a gateway to the authentic Balinese lifestyle but also serves as a haven for those eager to delve into local cuisine. The open kitchen welcomes private orders tailored to your preferences, offering an opportunity to savor Balinese dishes exactly as the locals enjoy them. The accommodation is both clean and authentically designed, making you feel like a part of the welcoming community. The hotel's attention to detail extends to the private bathroom, where a large shower provides a unique open-sky view of the beautiful mountains and the adjacent mini village. For the Balinese, this oasis could be considered luxurious, offering everything one needs amidst the beauty of nature, including vibrant flowers, melodious birds, friendly cats, and lush trees. One of the most enchanting moments occurs at 7:30 a.m. when the fishermen's boats return, creating a spectacular display of colorful sails on the horizon. It's a mesmerizing scene that seems like a friendly competition with hundreds of participants, showcasing the rich maritime culture of Bali. In essence, Meditasi is more than a hotel; it's a gateway to an immersive Balinese experience, combining comfort, culture, and natural beauty in perfect harmony. Whether you're here for a short stay or an extended period, this hidden gem offers an unforgettable journey into the heart of Bali.

Incredible location. Large and clean room with sunrise view. The outdoor (covered) bathroom is beautiful. Everything was perfect at Meditasi. Breakfast included with variety of choice right at Smiling Bhudda restaurant. It's far from everything if you're looking for tranquillity, but 10 minutes by motorbike you arrive at the other end of Amed.

An absolutely unbeatable location, the balcony view room is no more than 8m from the waters edge with only the garden below and the black stone beach between you. Absolutely gorgeous. The sound of the waves on the stones was the best rest and sleep album you could ask for. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, with no query too much or too difficult. The food was incredible and the facilities top notch. Did I mention you have uninterrupted views of the mountains behind also? Breathtaking.

Beautiful and peaceful bungalows with sunrise view, black sand beach, snorkeling, cooking classes, and delicious food. They now have a swimming pool and yoga shala. The luxury rooms are gorgeous a super comfortable over looking the ocean and sunrise. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I plan to stay here the next time I return to Bali!

Perfect for recharging and a time-out from busy urban life. We stayed on the second floor bungalow for five nights. Absolutely stunning place with an unbeatable sea view. It felt surreal to wake up to a perfect view of the sunrise every morning from our balcony, and to sleep with the sound of the waves each night. There were fishermen boats right in front of the bungalows which meant we could see and hear the fishermen go out to sea every morning, and return (sometimes with a big catch). This made the whole stay much more memorable. Meditasi is further away from the main sights and attractions of Amed but that's what makes it so quiet and serene.

(Translated by Google) Obviously the new rooms "luxery" are beautiful, but it really breathes the fake and the commercial in the zen and yoga. It's "new rich". (Original) Évidemment les nouvelles chambres "luxery" sont magnifiques, mais ça respire vraiment trop le faux et le commercial dans l'aspect zen et yoga. Ca fait "nouveau riche".

(Translated by Google) The complex is located on the last beach, which still belongs to Amed. The beach itself is a stone beach which is not inviting for swimming. To get to the sandy beaches of e.g. To get to Lipahbeach, you need either a car or a moped. We lived in the front of the new stone bungalows, which are built to the highest quality. The equipment is perfect and the cleanliness as well. The food is good and the service too. For the owner: "Everyday is Sunday".

I couldn't have asked for more of my stay in Meditasi Bungalows. The place is right in front of the beach, and you get to fall asleep and wake up everyday with the healing sound of the waves. Rooms are big, clean, and cozy, and just what you need to feel at comfortable and at home. It's the place to be when you want to reset your body and mind and surround yourself with beauty and friendliness. The energy of the place is just to dream of. They also offer amazing yoga classes and a restaurant facing the beach where food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and with SO MUCH LOVE. They offer original and delicious Indonesian cuisine, a much needed fresh and healthy alternative to the common Indonesian food, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I left the place refreshed and rejuvenated

They have the most amazing coral reef right in front of the property. I went in tears after snorkeling here, such an amazing place! The bungalows are amazing, it has 2 beds each, one inside and one outside, with a view to the ocean. It’s a blessings to sleep with the sound of the ocean. The staff is super sweet, Wayan is an amazing soul. The food is incredible with great vegetarian options. Beautiful yoga classes every day for all levels and cooking classes can be booked with the beautiful Ketut. Great place to connect with the nature, enjoying a beautiful view during the meals and at the room. Couldn’t be more satisfied

Such a lovely place to relax and unwind, getting centered with yourself through yoga, meditation, or even just hanging out in the beautiful pool! The restaurant is great as well (Smiling Buddha) and the Coral Garden is right behind the resort, literally. Just walk into the water 😊 also, the people here are awesome!

Loved our stay at Meditasi. The staff are all incredibly kind, the food is delicious and the views and access to the ocean are lovely. It was a very peaceful stay, a little farther away from the town center, but that is what made it so relaxing, in our opinion. A heads up — they did not have yoga on site anymore when we were there. It seems that a lot of yoga classes in the area are no longer available, possibly post- COVID?

They did their best to serve all my needs, especially my requirements for food (allergies). And no, you don't have to be part of any Yoga community to enjoy this place. If you like, as I do, peace, nature, falling asleep with the sound of the waves, and the occasional appearance of the milky way in the night sky, this is a very good place to go. I stayed 10 days and only once there was a WiFi blackout in the whole area for half day, no electricity outage at all, however. Every few days a bit of noise pollution from the neighbourhood, nothing Meditasi is to blame for. Keep in mind that there is no phone signal within 4kms...

This place is a little slice of paradise. It is so peaceful and calm, I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It has beautiful views from every area of the property, either lush green mountains or the beautiful blue sea. They offer great things to do daily as well, like yoga and cooking classes. I had the best time here and can't wait to come back. The restaurant attached is amazing, the food is so tasty and fresh! Everyone that worked here was lovely and helpful. Until next time!

Beautiful place, good swimming pool, nice view from the upstairs rooms. It's a pity they don't serve anything in the restaurant because shops, restaurants and so on are quite far away. But if you like tranquility and a view at the local fishermen this is the place to be.

Amazing romantic bungalow hotel Really beautiful bungalows right in front of the beach. The bungalows are quite large and have their own garden and entrance. The bathrooms are half open and you can shower and wash under the stars. A place where you really are able to cut loose and don't feel the rush like on the rest of Bali. The staff is super friendly and will to everything so make your stay comfortable. The restaurant offers awesome quality for a low price.

The owner and staff and very friendly and helpful and the food is great. You will not regret booking here. II would give it 10 stars if I could. Loved it!

Meditasi & the Smiling Buddha restaurant is a special place near Amed. Me and my wife experienced it first time four years ago. It is a spiritual and quiet safe heaven where you can breathe and enjoy the coral garden. The food is excellent, organic and the particularity of the restaurant are the different type of Jamu drinks and healthy buddha teas they serve. Wayan and his great staff are friendly and smiling when you meet them, they organize cooking class where you can learn balinese & heatlhy cooking. Don't hesitate to spend some time in Meditasi, beach front view bungalow, simply amazing. Lots of love from Anna & Pierre.

Laughing Buddha man is so lovely and welcoming. I stayed in the standard room which was actually really nice...lots of space and big outdoor bathroom. 2 bedroom. The restaurant had great food and healing drinks. Everything was perfect for me. Some peace and solitude.

My bf and I Stayed here for five nights and we loved the energy here! Snorkel and diving right in the front and Wayan had a cool cave meditation temple on site! We enjoyed the friendly and nice staff who smiled all the time and left us feeling jouful inside. We felt very special to have gotten a blessing by Wayan too. I would highly recommend this clean and spaced bungalow where you can have both mountain views and ocean views!!!

We stay at Meditasi for 3 days. Because we read the recomendation of the other guests before. The room is large and the pillow and sheets are clean and smell good. The view from the upper room was nice. But after sunrise the sun will very hot and there is no shadow on the balcony. The food in the restaurant will not be tasty. At first for breakfast we wait 45 minutes. The omlette was too thick and was burned on the bottom. Also was too much salt in the omlette. Next day same.. with fried eggs. The dinner we can also not recomended. We have to go out for dinner. Sorry.

Most relaxing, spirituality enlightened accomadation l have stayed at. Loved all aspects from the room to the restaurant to the hosts to the staff and the overall ambience which made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable and definitely value for money. The locals are super friendly. You will see the local Fisherman every morning in their boats smiling and waving at you from your balcony P.S. We stayed in the seaview villa which was spacious with spectacular views of the sea and mountains behind the villa.we ate at the Smiling Buddha restaurant everyday which had both traditional and modern food at a very reasonable price, much cheaper than other restaurants near by.

Experiencing Meditasi Bungalows is just magical! The place has a special way of making you feel at home, like you belong. The peace you feel when you step into this beautiful place is undesirable. The owner and the staff is amazing. I don’t think I have ever met people this kind and smiling, always willing to help you if you have a question. The bungalows are beautiful and very clean. I am fascinated how little flies and mosquitoes are around here. Maybe because there is always a refreshing sea wind. Directly at the sea, amazing to hear the ocean all the time and to fall asleep to. I also really liked it that I could book excursions at the reception, just as I didn’t even had to leave to get a massage, she came to my own bungalow! Now that is luxury! On the property they have a restaurant as well, smiling Buddha, and it is amazing. The food is all organic and they have mostly vegan and healthy options. The dishes have a lot of taste to it, I loved every single meal. In addition to that, they organize a cooking class every morning at 11:00 A.M. which is fun! Also you can participate in different styles of yoga classes for all levels. This is everyday in the afternoon at 05:00 P.M. and really fits with the setting of the place. Snorkeling here is really amazing to. The coral and fish are beautiful. There are a lot of snorkeling options just in front of the bungalows and close by and Meditasi bungalows can arrange it al. As there are many beautiful rice fields and amazing sunsets and special points where you have the best view (which they can take you to see). The surrounding is breathtaking as well and If you want to experience the feeling of contentment, joy and peace, I recommend to book your room soon!

One of the most amazing places I have stayed in Amed. The owner is incredible very attentive, kind, generous and accommodating. The facility is sparkling clean with 5 star accommodations including the most comfortable mattress I have slept on in so long. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and seeing sunset has been the highlight of my stay. Would highly recommend.

I thought I would have a really good experience here, but I had such a clash with the owner, he needed me to really engage with him and I was going through something that really required a close friend or solitude. It served traditional Balinese food in a menu I hadn't seen many of the dishes from before. I actually had a really unpleasant experience here and stormed out, I felt completely insulted. He was also dressed in similar clothes and style to my cousin - must have researched me on Facebook. Totally creepy.

  • 5/5 Oleksandr P. 4 years ago on Google
We've stayed in the luxury sea-view room and it was the best we've seen on Bali and Gili islands. The 3-side view is magnificent, the room is spacious, as is the terrace. You can even choose to sleep on the terrace - a unique full immersion experience! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they can assist you with everything from transport to organizing the diving trip. Cooking classes and yoga lessons in the garden besides the ocean are really good as well. Also, the stable internet connection is enough for remote work. Total score is surely 5 of 5, you shouldn't look any further.

Most quiet and peaceful place you’ll find! Right in front of the ocean with a nice small beach good for swimming and snorkeling. Afterwards you can relax by the pool or on your porch :) The resort and the rooms are very spacious, loved the view from the balcony! There are not many other places around but the food in the onsite restaurant is very good.
