The neoprene shoes have holes and broken zipper as well as the wetsuits. The mouthpiece of the regulator had a hole, I got salt water in my mouth all the time during the dive, I had to switch to the emergency regulator to continue my dive. It looks like the equipment doesn’t get checked at all. Not recommended at all. I´m sure there are much better dive centers in Amed.

Great experience! I did the padi open water course and everything went great. When you pay the course you also get 3 nights included which is a great deal. Prices are much cheaper than other centers. You get to share the room with your course teammates which is very good to get to know them and create a stronger bond. Our instructor Leo was great, friendly and very patient. He speaks French, English and Spanish which is very helpful. The owner Fabien is also really nice, he helped me a lot with the payment arrangements. The staff is also very nice! The rooms are OK, with AC, private toilet and a kitchen. I found some cockroach in the toilet but that’s just Bali life. 100% recommended

We did the PADI Open Water course on 18-20.9. Our instructor Leo was super professional and relaxed. We really enjoyed our time with Leo and other course mates. We also really enjoyed exploring the great dive sites Amed had to offer! Our favourites were the shipwreck and the drop-off in which we dove on the last day of the course.

A very mixed review of this dive shop. The villa that was rented through them was amazing and cheap for two rooms, with a small kitchen and a private pool and made was stellar. The dive master that we dealt with was a Spanish man who was hilarious and a very good and informed man. Our experience with him and some of the local staff at the dive shop was stellar. We also rented bikes though they only had two pedal bikes available to rent for cheap. On the negative note: the manager of the dive shop was very rude and did not have a kind tone when asked questions. He was very condescending to us which was shocking.

I believe the dorms have been newly renovated, freshly painted and clean. Definitely in need of some decent pillows as they were so lumpy. The bathroom window is just a hole, no glass.. so we did get a lot of little animals in there. Diving was good, around £45 for 2 dives and free accommodation when you dive. Unfortunately some of the equipment needs replacing or TLC. My Pressure Gauge was full of water, my mask was also mouldy.

There's a great cafe a short walk around the corner called Good Stuff you can get proper coffee and varied food. KopiKota another good option for a more traditional vibe. Keep walking past KopiKota to see the sunrise.

Please check your equipment thoroughly. My regulator was damaged dislodged my tooth (crown)& the backup regulator was already in a broken condition! Had to finish my dive hold it in my mouth! Even though I didn't enjoy the 1st dive due to this. I was ensured the 2nd dive would be better & we would only dive for 30mins as I wasn't too keen. We ended up in the water for 58mins and I was fed up. Swam ashore whilst being sick! Nothing was noticed. I had to say it! The main lady Jessica is lovely but her staff I paired up with just seemed to be greedy with diving & not being too observant 😪

The area is great, close to it there is a really good restaurant with fresh fish, super delicious and also a good café. If you walk a little to the harbor, there are good restaurants. People working at the hostel are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I felt like home. Leo, the instructor for the dive, gave me a good education for both open water and advanced. I practiced a lot of techniques in the water. Everything was well explained, from a theoretical and practical point. I highly recommend it.
