This is our first detination when touch Solo hehe Sate hj bejo in the center of Solo city, At the first we order satay and gule, I am surprisingly the "satay kambing" is with ketchup sauce not with peanut sauce. Maybe because I am from east java and I think that gulai will be perfect with peanut sauce.. but its okay the taste from satay is good, the texture is juicy and the portion its big enough. And 1 again this satay will be plating without stab(tusuk) And the second menu is gulai.. its full with offal (jeroan like limpa, babat etc), the taste is little bit tasteless (hambar) , but the portion is big And because I am not satisfied yet. So I order the third menu ,satai buntel, and again they plate it without any stab (tusuk), The taste is good, i like it and its full with the meat. Ps ; no sambal for this resto, they plate the menu with the fresh chili Price Satai : 10 stab (tusuk) : 60k Satai buntel : 60k Gulai : 60k Advise : I hope they will provide garbage storage, or anyone who will clean the floor continuesly,because in the floor there are so many tissue

Sate Kambing Bu Hj. Bejo My favorite food when visiting Solo. The taste is very good. Especially "Sate Buntel" I always order Sate, Sate Buntel and Tongseng. You have to try... 😎 Relative price. The place is spacious and comfortable. Good service. Parking easy.

Sate Buntel (70K) and Tengkleng Masak (75K) are a must order. Their Sum-Sum is sold fast, I was lucky there is the last portion for me. For drinks, I suggest Teh Kampul (it is basically tea with orange) so refreshing after eating all that heavy food.

Rather disappointing from my experience. The satay (grilled meat) was thickly sliced, overcooked, the tongseng (soy sauce sautee) was too sweet and loosing its savoury taste due to overwhelming soy sauce, and the goat-meat fried rice was to oily and rather “clumpy.” Not my recommendation.

They have the best sate buntel in Solo! Sate kambing is also good. Tengkleng and gulai is so so.

It is a lamb satay and other lamb dished expertise. I have high expectation about this place due to the high recommendation from all netizen. Try to find this place with google map, but the direction for car is always miss leading and always directed to the street that cars couldn't fit in. You just have to improve and adapt guys, but carefull there's alot of oneway trafic in solo. When we finally found the place, it's lunch hour and peak hour. The ventilation of this place need to be improved, due to the smoke from the satay furnish is comming and trapped inside the dining area and turning the dining area to a large smoking pot. This will suffocate you and make your eyes dry. Service wise: For the seating area, you just have to fight you way in and promptly sit on the empty chair you could find first, even though the table haven't cleaned. When you sit, then the waiter will clean and offer you the menu. This point the service is good. But then you have to wait and constantly remind the staff of what you order or else you could lost what you've just ordered. In my case, we're almost lost our buntel satay. They said buntel satay is sold out but we complain that we already order it ages ago. Then they gave us the satay. Bad score bro... bad score Food wise: With all the high review from the netizen and the long wait of the food, i have very high hope for all of the food. We order lamb satay, buntel satay, and lamb tengkleng. When they all finally arrived (almost 30mnt), the lamb satay is chewy and the lamb tengkleng is soft but i felt the soupe taste kindda bland. The gem is buntel satay. Very delicious and mouth watering. Thank god we got the buntel satay. Final ferdict: I will not recommend you all to go there. But if you want to try, just gojek the buntel satay. It not worth the effort to eat there and suffer...

My family and i always came here when in solo, they have perfect sate buntel on earth. My husband really big fan of this sate buntel. They are so generous with the portion, the meat is so tender and juicy, perfect match with ketchup sauce. Surprisingly their tengkelng is very tasty. We ordered es gula asem, and so refreshing. Definetely our favorite sate kambing restaurant.

Sate daging a bit tough, buntel and Nasgor are perfect.. just enjoy the food with foggy smoke from the grill

A very popular for lunch and dinner place, located in the central of Surakarta city. Better to wear a breathable clothes because this place becomes hot in the day. And if you have difficulty to find Gocar or GrabCar, try to set the pickup place near the chruch in the south.

I came here after reading a review that this place is one of Pak Jokowi's favorite sate kambing since he was young. But, I found that the menus weren't special. Tengkleng was difficult to eat because some part still hard. But satay and nasi goreng were good 👍🏼

Great place for Sate Buntel. Sadly, when we arrived they were out of stock. So, we ordered goat satay and tengkleng. Goat satay was chewy, but the sauce taste good. Tengkleng was tender. It was always crowded, even though it located in residential area.

Hidden Gem. Too bad i reach Solo a bit late. They only have sate buntel, other menus already sold out. But, i DO love their sate buntel. 1 portion contains 2 big satays. Meat really tender. I've neverneat mutton that tender. Definitely will come back to try other menus

Definitely a must try culinary in Solo. No wonder Pak Jokowi loves it. Sate buntel is their signature menu, but me my self prefer the tengkleng. It's very soft and cooked very well. Surely going back every time I'm in Solo

the satay is unique because it comes off the skewer, the meat isn’t tender tho. i love their sate buntel, and tengkleng was really good too. es kunyit asem (tamarind-turmeric ice) is so refreshing. the price is a bit expensive. locations is easy to find.

We tried this restaurant as its flagged as president Jokowi’s favorite lamb satay to-go-to . Sadly again it didn’t live up to our expectations, tough meat , so-so tengkleng a bit tasteless and the gule was a bit better though still lack of flavor profile..place was smoky though still alright, not sure will be back.Sorry!

A must try for Mutton Lovers. It's a legendary satay house in Solo. The Sate Buntel is a must try. The prices have gone up quite a lot. Rp. 65000 now for a portion of Sate Buntel (2 pc) and a portion of regular satay (10 pc). But the portion was generous. The setback was only the place was filled with the smoke from cooking and the smell stayed on your clothes the whole day.

Great ambience, nice food, they have a javanese singer in front of the stall so it's quite unique

We had sate, which was really yummy! Food experience was really great! And service damn quick! With that said, the restaurant was full of smoke from nearby grill (not healthy at all), tables were so close to each other that feeling of crowded was so intense even tho there were little people. And overall it didn't look very hygienic. Sate on the menu was only goat (which is fine for me). 3 stars only because food was really GREAT!

Their Sate Buntel, Nasi Goreng, Tengkleng are the best. Visited 3 times and same quality. Have tried other's viral place but not better than Bu Bejo. I take away Buntel to Jakarta by train, and next day still delicious.

Please come earlier to get short queue The tongseng meat is really too tough, it is not recommended for old people! But the food isnt not fishy/smell of goat the restaurant space is big!

This is the must visit place for me when I stay in this city. The satay doesn't smelly and delicious, especially the sate buntel one. The tengkleng really delicious.

I ordered a portion of sate buntel but I did not expect that the portion was that big (Enough for two people, which really surprised me in a good way!) The sate buntel was really tasty, no wonder that they sold out quickly! So you better visit them during or before lunchtime to avoid disappointment. I also ordered beras kencur for my sate buntel's companion which I think it's too sweet for my standard, but if you are a serious sweet tooth, then it's not a problem. One thing to consider is, it's better if you order a hot drink, because it can help you to dissolve trace of goat's fat inside your mouth.

Okay, let me share you The situation of this restaurant. First, when we came here, there was crowdid area, we got full of Smoked space. These waiters were complicated and didn't more pay attention for costumer. As sugesstion: should the management more better for next. But fortunately, te good news are the taste of all variant Foods are good and also the priced was reasonable.

The best Sate Buntel & Garmas! The lamb meat is tender & juicy, taste sooo delicious! And for me, the portion is big enough for 2 persons if you eat it with rice, very generous amount of meat.
