If I could give zero stars I would. My mom was misdiagnosed and not long later found out she has Stage IV Lung Cancer and it's spread nearly everywhere and her treatment has been postponed so many times they are essentially just letting her die faster in the hospital bed instead of doing something useful. My mom has cried to me about some nurses being mean to her and not being ready to die and every time I call in to find out progress no one knows anything because no one seems to be capable of taking notes from the prior nurse. Her nurse and doctor changes every two days it seems so communication is incredibly inconsistent. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here for treatment especially for a terminally ill condition because they certainly don't have urgency like they care for you. I am disgusted and frustrated and feeling helpless in making sure my mom gets the right care and I am so sick of hearing COVID as an excuse for such disgusting behavior from medical professionals. Thank you to the very few nurses that were actually nice to my mom but I will never recommend this hospital.

This is worth the read, I promise. My dad was there in February and a decision was made to put him on palliative care which is a step above hospice. Prior to this his doctor wouldn't listen to him about how bad his pain was from his diabetic neuropathy. So they sent him home on pain medication that actually helped, finally. He ended up back there in April, the hard decision was made to put him on hospice. Since he was now in hospice they took him off everything except anything that was helping pain, which was 3 medications, but they didn't give those to him, that is including the strong pain medication in the 24hrs he was in there care. He was then sent home in extreme pain to the point of where he was screaming in pain. I called the hospital to talk to the charge nurse, he was extremely rude about the whole situation and the only thing he could say was "we don't give them anything unless they're in pain" so a person is dying and your not going to give them anything? Sounds like a great nurse and I genuinely feel bad for his patients. So if your in pain then don't expect anyone to help unless your dying and that's even questionable.

Brought my wife to the emergency room for a bipolar psychotic break. A couple hours later the nurses had calling her a taxi, in a blizzard, and center on her way in sandals. I spent the next 24 hours looking for her before returning her to Concord Hospital emergency room where she could be admitted. I thought hospitals were supposed to help, not try and kill people.

I came in at 3pm to get a chest X-ray. I believed to (self) diagnose myself with a walking pneumonia and have a pretty good understanding of the symptoms as I am immune suppressed and have had pneumonia maybe 50+ times already in my life. The treatment I was given was unacceptable. Nurses were rude, and it took me 4 hours to be seen. I also had to wait in the waiting room because they had no rooms, but people who came after me were getting in left and right. I am beside myself, I have never seen such poor standards at a hospital. NEVER GO HERE!

If you do not have good insurance don't go to Cheshire Med. A few days ago I had a heart attack and I was sent home. But... They NEVER told me that I had a heart attack! Are they crazy?? Unbelievable but their Motto is Go Home and Die. I'm afraid I will...!

Went in last night for chest pains. Most nurses were nice but my first one expected me to change in front of her while she was staring right at me the entire time. Never offered any privacy for me to undress. She was super snarky as well standing with her arms crossed the entire time looking at me like I need to hurry up , while I’m EXTREMELY uncomfortable because I do not like changing in front of people I don’t know. Last year i was having EXTREMELY bad mental health problems and they took it like a joke. i needed to be on a different med and ended up just taking myself off the one i was on because it was making things worse and they kept rescheduling my appointments , and and not taking me seriously. it took me crying to them over the phone basically yelling at them to get an appointment a month later. yeah you read that right...A MONTH. AN ENTIRE MONTH after months of telling them I need help. but because I didn't admit myself into a hospital they didn't think my mental health was as bad as it was. and that appointment I had after waiting a month? "we cant help you . you need to see the psychiatrist" so i had to wait ANOTHER MONTH to see the psychiatrist. I'm switching doctors because this is unacceptable.

Arrived for X-rays and a follow up for my sons broken leg. Our appointment had been moved HOURS away without us being notified. This was quite distressing, we don't live locally, and couldn't even be in town at that time. We were told at orthopedics to wait or come back, but we were too early to be checked in. Panicking, I went to the information desk for help. They suggested we wait out the time in the cafeteria on LL, "next to the Christmas tree in the employee area, where no one will bother you." I could only wait a few moments there with my son in distress before wheeling him out to find some kind of relief for him. I later received a call about why we had missed our appointment, and HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS that my son be seen for his leg. I am furious.

Me and my boyfriend go to college about 30 minutes away from this medical center. He was having stomach pains and needed to get a cat scan to make sure it wasn’t appendicitis. The people where very friendly and welcoming, but we waited way to long. I get with COVID things have been very hectic and I give the nurses and doctors all the credit in the world. But with that said, we got inside to the medical center at 3:20pm, he didn’t get seen until 6:04pm, and the cat scan wasn’t done until 8:03pm. We didn’t leave the center until 10:00pm. It’s ridiculous how almost all day was wasted on this one appointment. I understood going into it that there might be long wait times and things would be crazy, but not to the point where we would be there for ALMOST 7 HOURS. If you need to be in and out do not come here. You will waste your whole day, at least in our experience. The people where very friendly, but with those wait times this was our one and only visit.

Useless emergency room. Had me sitting in the crowded waiting room while symptomatic after testing positive for COVID. Told them I was having trouble breathing and their response was “it’ll be a while.” Zero social distancing in the waiting room. I left because I didn’t feel comfortable exposing the people next to me to COVID.

I would leave a negative star if I could. I took my son to the ER Saturday really early morning, the nurse couldn't even take his temperature right. He's 3 she took using the mouth thermometer his mouth was open they said he had no fever when it was 102.3 he has a rash all over his body and his throat hurt they tested him for strep, COVID and RSV they said there would call if it was positive they never did I called them got no answers. Monday I called his PCP they informed me the strep throat was positive my son has been sick and in so much pain sense Friday. The worst hospital I've ever been to

My son, a student at Keene, had already been seen and treated on campus for severe strep and tonsillitis. They told him if he wasn’t better after two full days of medication to go get seen at the ER for potential abscess. He did as he was told they examined him for five minutes— he was much sicker than two days earlier then sent him back to campus with nothing and no plan for treatment. After an hour back on campus they called him back from the ER to tell him he was Covid positive on top of his other diagnosis. Again gave him no plan for anything including pain management. I was letting him handle everything himself as a young adult, however I did make a call to the ER. I was very calm and just asking for some follow up advice since he was in agony and had access to very little medication due to the snowstorm and he couldn’t even get out of bed. I got a single abrupt sentence from the woman who answered the phone and said there was nothing we could do . I’m sure Cheshire gets tired of treating college students, but I can’t express my disappointment deeply enough with the actual care he received. For many of these kids it’s the first time they’ve been seriously sick without their parents nearby for support. I hope the hospital provide some additional training, at a minimum empathy training, for its staff and improves its practices dealing with sick young people. We ended up driving in a snow storm to go and pick him up. He is still very sick 48 hours after visiting the ER. When speaking with the campus health center they frequently get the same feedback that I am writing here. Maybe that’s hard to hear, but it sounds like this is the case with students frequently.

Cheshire Med will charge you $200+ for an appointment where your provider won't actually examine you. They won't touch you or look at your symptoms. They simply ask you to describe what is happening then either write a prescription or send you off to a specialist. They charge the exact same for a "telemedicine" appointment as an office appointment.

I get really good care here, yes ER waiting times are long if you dont have a REAL emergency or a life threatening emergency. The only complaint I have is Dr Nesbitt from the ER. He is the most dismissing Dr I have ever met, he dismissed my heart condition for being "emotional" and told me I was "Bi Polar" and while in there asked me how I'd react to a commercial that he'd react to. I passed smooth out during my x-ray and they say no problem with it and had severe chest pain and the guy was tapping away on his computer like nothing was happening while the nurses were frantic and my heart was going over 150. The guy shouldn't be practicing if he cannot interact properly with patients and not misdiagnose them or make them feel uncomfortable. Otherwise, care here is usually good 👍

My husband has not been able to breath for 3+ months. Wheezing, short of breath, waking in the middle of the night because he can't breath. He was told it was because he quit smoking, then told he has asthma, maybe COPD, then told he has heartburn. No chest X-ray done until I called and demanded one. Chest X-ray "normal" blood work normal. Told them he had a fever. 3 months later he has a cat scan. No one called, my husband had to call for results. Bam! Pneumonia! Bunch of idiots! I am beyond ANGRY with this facility and we will NOT be paying for services. As far as we're concerned they owe us for time missed at work and wasting our time!

received some of the worst and most insincere medical care of my life here. Terrible nursing staff. Dr Hanson inthe ED should be stripped of licensure and fed to dogs. Will happily die en route to Concord hospital next time.

I want to thank Dr S. Luft and all the staff that assisted in my Colonoscopy screening. Everyone from start to finish ( including the lady at the entrance who greeted us) was exceptionally nice , efficient and compassionate. I have adult children in the medical field and I know how stressful and difficult a job it is. Everything went right on time which I was very grateful for Thank you ! Mary Shapiro

My fiance sat in the waiting room for 3 and a half hours with chest pain and shortness of breath, she got blood drawn and an ekg quickly but was put on hold for the remainder of the time, ended up walking out. Going to lebanon.

Came in with pain to the ER and was later admitted. Everyone there from admitting to all the 3rd floor nurses, LNAs and doctors were amazing. So kind and volunteered all kinds of helpful information and encouraging words. I could not have dreamed of a better experience. Food was good, the whole facility is super clean. Of course I'd like not to return to the hospital but if I have to, I know I'll be in good hands!

Coughed up blood, so I went to the hospital. They told me I had to get a CT scan without mentioning the costs or that there was no real reason to do so. Sent my bill to a debt collector 3 days later, the standard practice is 3 months. Now they are saying I owe them 2.5k. I'll be performing all medical exams and surgeries on myself with the help of YouTube after this. Thanks.

Been sitting in the ER for two hours, nurses coming in and out casually with Dunkin donuts and other food. This hospital is terrible worst in new Hampshire they care nothing about the patients and ignore every single person in the e.r. there is a line of people out here it's insane, but Dunkin donuts and pizza barn is most important. Literally nothing going on

The care I’ve received from the Women’s Health Center has been great. The nurses are kind and thoughtful. The doctor I work with is very well informed and does a great job of making sure I understand my options. She responds to my questions through the portal quickly and even reached out to me one day when I couldn’t make it over to Keene because I was too sick, which saved me from having to schedule another appointment and postpone care.

I have had wonderful care at CMC for a variety of issues over the last 10+ years. I have had surgery, and have received stitches in addition to regular care every year. I have been to the emergency room in the middle of the night and my young daughter has received stitches. We have never had a problem and recommend CMC for these reasons.

Could not say enough about this place. They literally helped me get back on my feet on step at a time after a brain injury. Great services all around. Speech Therapy, physical, behavioral. Food is excellent as well. Saved my life. Thankyou!

Two stars for the fact that they charge way to much money for no reason for the littlest things... Like are you trying to rip people off? If this country wasn't so screwed up we would have free healthcare... Supposed to help people not do the complete opposite

I’ve been a regular patient for almost 20 years, utilizing the care, experience and knowledge base throughout many departments and I really appreciate and respect the care I continue to receive. We are so fortunate, as a community, to have this amazing gem in our region. I’ve received nothing but top quality care in dermatology, women’s health, PACU, labor and delivery, family medicine, gastroenterology, ear nose and throat, etc. really stellar team, services, and facility.

I have had wonderful care from Cheshire Medical Center, especially from the Women's Center. I cannot praise my doctors or nurses enough. I have had surgery there and radiation therapy and I have been treated with kindness, cheerfulness and compassion. Medically I am on the road to complete health because of the care I have been given.
