Not a main station but many trains stop here because it's close to the Colombo Fort railway station. Takes maximum 20 mins to Colombo Fort. Need to upgrade the station. Platform is too low to board and exit the train.

This station got a Good Station Masters and giving good service, Near to Wattala and Kiribathgoda. Also Hunupitiya Railway station Accepting and Delivering Parcels and Letters. It has a Free Library too.

This station has 3 platforms. Resting rooms are available. But the platfo platforms are built bit lower so its hard to get down specially

During rushing hours, an easy way to travel up and down. (to colombo 20 mts. Journey) Trains available for evey 20 - 30 mts. Comparing with bus fair it's very cheap (Rs. 10 only). But bit crowded.

Trains will never come on time

It is the Fifth railway station from Colombo and is located between Wanawasala railway station and Ederamulla railway station. Somewhat old station it might have been constructed in the colonial period. Thousand of commuters used this station daily basis. Crowded during the office hours. seats available in the station.

Busy place... lots of passengers using this station to go to work and school around wattala and kiribathgoda area .. not a very big station compared to colombo fort or maradana stations.. but still lots of people using the benefits of this station... busy specially morning and evening peak times and also afternoon school hours... The road to the station called station Road must be repaired and developed...

Most of the slow and semi express trains stop here. If you are wanting for trains be careful in this station.

The road to reach this station is a bit difficult. But this station provides facilities that are not available from Kelaniya railway station. There are also facilities for sending parcels. But that process is a bit slow. It would be better if the road to the railway station could be repaired. The dangerous slope, broken road etc. make the passengers very uncomfortable. It would be valuable if the railway employees could work a little more efficiently and diligently. Because from the point of issuing the ticket to the point of receipt of the parcel, it takes a very slow . Sometimes a queue moves very slowly. It would be worth it to provide a more efficient service. This railway station meets Wanawasla and Kelaniya railway stations. If you get off from this railway station, you can reach Kiribathgoda town and Wattala town on the other side by a three-wheeler. Providing information over the phone is good. Overall the service is good. If you can provide a clean high quality service to passengers, it is worth it.

Main station on the up way. Slow trains stops here. But most express trains ignore this station. Setup and location of the station is good.
