The service to us Black people was appalling! We had food poisoning and no one assisted..... We paid for a 3 day conference but were moved to a smaller room with no social distancing under false pretenses and a group of white men were given the bigger meeting room, the electricity tripped and there was no provision made until we complained that we did not have. The front desk helper was horribly rude and had the most stinking attitude.... They do not even allow us to tip waiters and waitresses..... The rooms sometimes don't get made..... No fresh towels....you request an iron and it never comes.... Receptionist attitude when you ask again is so annoyed and you still don't get the iron.... . It was the worst place to host a big group! The worst! Premier Hotel is over rated for nothing! I WILL NEVER! NEVER EVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.......

The location of this place is very convenient to the airport. There is a shuttle that runs from and to the airport almost every 30 minutes. It does get full, so do try to get in the one earlier, and then if that's full, you can use the next one. It's free. The breakfast here is not halal. If you want halal, let them know, but it comes with a ridiculous additional charge of R850 per meal per person. You can eat veg at the usual breakfast if already paid for, but I would say don't get the breakfast in that case. The staff were helpful. My room lights didn't work, and the tap wasn't fitted to the basin. Few rough edges, but overall, the room was very big, clean, neat, and comfortable. The hotel has a decent area to explore. I did enjoy my stay.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because I was bumped off my flight due to over booking. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel, the rooms and the dining options. The bed and linen was some of the finest I've experienced. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. The bathroom is modern with nice finishes. The breakfast spread is quite comprehensive. You need to try the chicken livers! The bar is also surprisingly cheap! It's close to the airport, so I guess the target market are traveller's or people attending conferences.

Was in Johannesburg for business it's not a place I'll stay at again. Couldn't get through to reception had to take lift down apparently too busy. Only 1 receptionist for such a big place. The only good thing is the food

At first, seemed nice, with big rooms, very friendly and supportive staff, and *excellent food* (my compliments to the chef once more, this was what got the two stars, it should have been one). But over time, the problems started: some dirty corners could be seen in many places, sewer smells in my corridor, not totally clean dishes given to guests and, the worst of all, lots and lots of blackouts (I lost hours of work and productivity due to this). The manager was very evasive and subtly manipulative. This had everything to be a great experience but unfortunately lost my fidelity. I am very sorry for the kind and attentive staff that warmly welcomed me, but I do not recommend this hotel (not just for sharp people).

Great place to stay! Super comfortable and luxurious. My meal was great as well. If you are leaving early and can't get breakfast, ask for a breakfast to go. Hugely recommend this.

If you're looking for a great hotel near the airport, this is it. We spent a night here before driving to Kruger the next day and we enjoyed out stay. Pros: Clean, comfy rooms at a reasonable rate. Safe, easy parking (we had a rental car). Delightful bar and restaurant. Cons: We only had one night here! If we had it to do over again (and I hope we have the opportunity someday), we'd also spend the night here before flying back home.

The rooms looks good but I had a pretty with the carpet since I have sinuses and even though it was clean but it had an odd smell (humidity) so I feel that should they remove the carpets it will be perfect. Their food was very nice and the service is so warm, last time I went there during load shedding I couldn't iron my top and when I asked for assistance the lady from maintenance came took my top and returned it nicely ironed

From the booking stages it is impossible to get a hold of their reception. Had to make 10 calls until I finally got through. Upon arrival got sent to a room that wasn't ready and had to come back and get another. Front desk not welcoming at all. Sub par facilities. No hot water at 4:30 am, shower head fell off and then to top it all off got to breakfast at 6:30am to be greeted by an unfriendly woman who told us to sit outside because breakfast wasn't ready. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Would only recommend if you don't mind cold showers and unfriendly staff. Only thing worth the one star was the shuttle driver who was the only professional person I encountered.

This hotel is a very short complimentary shuttle ride from the airport. I stayed here four years ago and was delighted to be back. I asked for a top floor room away from the elevators, and I had a wonderful corner room on the 8th (top) floor (room 802). The room had all modern amenities and the bed was incredible. The outer windows could be opened a little to let in a nice breeze. The restaurant is excellent and the service impeccable. Breakfast was included in my room rate and I enjoyed a delicious made-to-order omelet. My second night I had oxtail, which was delicious. Currently Johannesburg is having load sharing power outages, however, the hotel manages to maintain lights and elevators so that is not a worry. Traveling with a power-bank is a must. There is a nice exercise facility on the fourth floor and a beautiful swimming pool. The next time I travel through Johannesburg, I will stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and the water by the entrance gives good energy. The Cable Network News though , I think they can do better with that , while waiting or checking in.... My room was 412 the plug for the phone wasn't working thank goodness I had my own. They need to fix that. The food quality could also be better....I ordered their beef burgers....lol I have no idea what that was even McDonald's makes an even better burger for half the price. Unfortunately I don't have a picture for the burger. It really isn't value for money. And another detail was that I made an order to the kitchen for chocolate cake they bring me carrot. I don't even like nuts, after they told me they no longer had the pudding. They threw it out and I'm thinking with so many people that would eat that but anyway that's a story for another day. Everything else was okay.

Friendly and efficient staff from check-in to check out. The shuttle service from the airport was on time and runs smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower head only have two settings, pulse or mist. I could not adjust to normal flow. Other than that, all good.

I’ve been at the hotel since Tuesday , and I will definitely be back. The room was comfortable and spacious. There’s something about the beds (or maybe it’s the pillows) but it’s the first time staying over at a hotel and I slept so well. The staff are friendly and give new meaning to the term hospitality. The windows require some cleaning and the gym wants some tlc, but apart from that my stay has been amazing.

We were diverted to S. Africa and so they put us in this hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. I would class this hotel as a lay over rather than a main stay hotel. The food was excellent and different types were available to cater for all sorts of pallets. Overall it was a good hotel for what we needed it for and close to the airport.

We stayed here twice in the last month and it was perfect for our overnight stay between flights! The staff were really friendly and the rooms were extremely comfortable and felt safe… The shuttle bus between the hotel and the airport runs every half an hour from the bus terminal in the airport straight to the hotel (last shuttle is around midnight). Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

Great location very close to the airport with a shuttle service as well. Room was very comfortable and the shower was especially great - excellent water pressure after a looooong flight! The breakfast selection was great and the service here is really good. Definitely recommend if you need a stay near the airport!

My wife and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary, so we went there to be pampered with full body massages, and it was worth it... The staff is so professional, and the atmosphere is so calming. I would advise you to go there and experience this wonderful, clean, cool, and welcoming place.

Very convenient location supported well by the airport shuttle. Had issues with air con in both of our two rooms. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Staff were keen to help.

Enjoyed my stay here, everything is amazing but most importantly I loved the way Evident has been gracious with us, she is at Banqueting. She is such a phenomenal and friendly lady to deal with. Super helpful.

I had a great time at this Hotel having attended a function today (second time around). Clean, excellent service and great conference space. Greatful to a male hostess that was assisting with our event (The Uncommon Woman) with food preparation. The kindness he showed me is greatly appreciated when I told him am hungry and pregnant 🤰🏽. Compliments to the Chef as well😋🥰🤩 the food was amazing.

The hotel itself was very nice. The room was very nice, but the air conditioning didn't work to cool down the room. When it was on and set to 18 degrees Celsius, it blew mildly cold air. It stayed on for about 30 minutes, then it just shut off, even when we were in the room. Had to keep the window open, and it was still a hot and mostly restless night. The food was excellent and so were the drinks at the bar. The service was a bit spotty/ slow, but the servers were very friendly. The price of the food/ drinks were very reasonable.

I have a major criticism about the hotel, you can't find it! For future visitors, go out the airport's main entrance, ignore all the people trying to get you in a paid taxi, walk towards the Intercontinental hotel until you see signs for the bus terminal. Look for the hotel's timings board, it goes every half hour, The shuttle bus driver took all my heavy luggage and I didn't see it again until it was in my room. My room was spacious and welcoming with excellently crisp bedsheets. The bathtub was oddly comfortable despite its deep, long, slim design. Downsides; very small television, tiny towels, ugly views, blackout curtains do not cover the windows making them ineffectual.

Secure location, close to the airport and the town. Friendly staff and rooms are big and spacious. Lots of parking space and also under cover parking. 24 hours security at the gate. Beautiful conference rooms and a very big restaurant. During loadshedding they have a powerful generator that power the establishment without problem.

We stayed at this hotel as a stop-over on our way to Cape Town. Hotel is situated close to the Airport with a reliable shuttle service to and from the airport. Modern hotel - Beautifully decorated with different seating areas. We got a huge lovely suite – modern décor, very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The king bed was very comfortable. Reception staff was efficient. The breakfast staff was polite and helpful. Big breakfast seating area – good variety on offer. Porters helped with our luggage. We will highly recommend the Premier Hotel for a very comfortable and pleasant stay Improvement: Reception staff more friendly and engaging with customers

We absolutely loved this hotel. We only stayed 1 night before our flight to St Helena but we would have loved to stay longer. Our favourite thing about this hotel was the service, especially Jonathan at the bar. He was an incredibly polite gentleman who was a pleasure to talk to and be served drinks by. He made us feel very welcome here and we wish him all the best in his life and career. Violet was also a delight to speak with during our lunchtime buffet. She had the loveliest smile and attitude. We hope to return one day in the future!

I have good experience with this hotel more than Midrand branch. Rooms are great big with all what you need to get relax or continue your work. Team are very cooperative and helping with big smile. Bus shuttle to airport at time of check out was available, although I know about that by accident. Although there is no oriental food in the menu, and breakfast is boring not creative, but still fine. I wish they arrange visits to nearby museums or malls, may be they have, but that I missed it.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service. Not a single fault. Violet served us lunch and was incredibly attentive and friendly. Jonathan was the perfect barman and made our night worthwhile with plenty of smiles and a gentleman's flourish.

The staff at the dinning room is not proactive. Not sure if they do selectively or it’s just the way they are but I’m surrounded by white customers and there are getting more attention. No one is even cleaning my table.

Tucked in a secluded Kempton Park area next to the OR International Airport with easy access to Route 21 and Route 24. Nice and quiet area.

Whilst the staff were attentive & friendly, they really need to get there alternative energy supply sorted out!!! Checked in the evening of 16/11/21, with no air conditioner or any power sources operational due to a power failure and them only utilising their generator which I am told can't cope with the additional load. Really? Load shedding & power failures are a common occurrence in SA. You advertise a rate which includes air conditioner and power supply. Get your act together! Planned on staying two nights but checked out after the first night as my laptop and phone had run flat with no way of charging them in order to work.

Nice hotel, but if you have to iron your clothes in the morning you'll have to climb a mountain. Provision of iron is the area they fail dismal on it. Perhaps as a guest you should bring your own iron.

We booked this hotel as an overnight stay near Joburg Airport after a late flight from Europe, via Booking.com. Unfortunately, we had to abandon our trip at the last minute, after two of our party tested positive for COVID-19. By this time it was too late to cancel via Booking.com. Booking.com's customer service team were very helpful and contacted both Premier Hotel, and another hotel we had booked in Amsterdam, requesting that they wave their cancellation fee, or at least give us a voucher for future use. The hotel in Amsterdam did exactly that. Premier Hotel, on the other hand, flat out refused. 1/5 for customer service!

Excellent impression on second stay, hence adding 4 stars to my initial rating*! Got much needed calm and relaxation before flight departure. Kudos to the hotel for paying attention to reviews and considering the feedback. The room, a suite facing the front/airport, offered an expansive view of aircraft landing and taking off. There wasn't a problem with noise either. Rooms are beautifully furnished and breakfast was quite scrumptious. The concierge and shuttle driver are very friendly and took care of the luggage. *On first stay, booking.com had sold a room who's specs are simply non existent. Visited the hotel a second time with renewed expectations and experienced what the hotel truly has to offer! Hopefully, the online booking platform has been updated accordingly.

Amazing service, modern styling with all of the bells and whistles that go with a hotel catering to international standards. Shuttle services every 30 min to and from OR Tambo. Very well priced for the service. The added bonus is that this hotel is owned locally by a South African. Welcome to South Africa

Stayed here as a family with young kids on the 4th of February for a night and was treated very well by the staff. Restaurant supper was also very good. Room and bedding were superb. Can't fault anything. Shuttle runs every 30mins to and from the airport, which really makes a stay seamless. I look forward to returning again.

Great hotel very close to OR Tambo international airport (+/-+10min drive). There is a shuttle to and from the airport. Great for a sleepover when in transit. They give a wakeup call for those leaving early for the airport. Great scenery, modern finishes!

  • 2/5 Kirsten de W. 1 year ago on Google
First, they close the restaurant before 23h00 - which is the time shown in the book in the hotel room. We had a late flight and baggage took really long so we arrived at the hotel at 22:30. Check in also took extremely long. Second, they don’t have any compatible plugs to charge any phones, laptop, etc. You cater for travelling people and foreigners with flights to catch - maybe a usb plug or built in two point plugs is not a bad idea! Definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone as you need to bring your own food and plugs - what’s the point of staying at a hotel then?

  • 5/5 Kim H. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent staff who are all helpful and friendly. Food delicious and rooms are super. Hairdryers a bit weak but other than that, after a week in this hotel, I had not one other complaint. Excellent.

  • 4/5 Seth I. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel was clean and quiet with a free shuttle from nearby OR TAMBO Airport. There were people burning brush or trash on the property next to the hotel and the smell of that smoke was present in our room in the evening hours but I suppose that’s not 100% the hotel’s fault. Dinner was very good and breakfast was outstanding. This is a solid place to stay after a long flight to Johannesburg.
