This hospital has really changed to the worse. You spend hours in the ER while the nurses and tech talk about what they did over the weekend. They were not even trying to be respectful of the fact that people are because they don’t feel well, they were loud as hell. Everyone is understaffed so instead of talking so much, actually try to get people feeling better and out. After being in the ER for 7 hours, I’ve asked to speak to the attending physician 5 times and all they can tell me is that they will call her. What happened to the daring, compassionate hospital they use to be.

This hospital used to be great but the last few times I have visited with my wife for her cancer treatments and surgery it’s been a pain. What bothers me the most is that, you ask if it’s ok for you to wait upstairs for your loved one and they quickly reply yes it’s fine but yet when you go downstairs to grab something to eat or you step out to make a phone call, when it’s time to go back up everyone says no you can’t be waiting upstairs, you have to wait until they wheel your loved ones down and then call you. I don’t understand how a hospital can have so much miscommunication on the matter of waiting. I hate it very much because when they do tell you about it they all have horrible attitudes and look at you with faces. This hospital definitely need to get there act together on the matter of communication. I can understand if your loved one are In a 3-6 hour surgery but for a surgery that is only an hour and then to be treated with such attitude, definitely makes you not want to come to this hospital anymore. I understand that COVID is a problem but if u have been fully vaccinated, I don’t see how waiting for an hour is really a problem. Our loved ones wake up from surgery expecting to see there partners or family to be waiting for them to Comfort them through scary moments and this hospital is just stripping them from that comfort. What if I had questions for the doctor to ask about limitations and other personal things that I see or have questions about?? I can’t ask the one person that would have the answers because I’m getting pushed out the hospital. Definitely we need to take care of ourselves and others but this hospital just doesn’t know how to treat the family of its patients.

Avoid this hospital. Very few doctors and lots of know nothing employees. Doctors change daily and there is no communication with them. You don’t know the plan of care for your loved ones. I guess all the good potential doctors are lawyers or bankers making easy money.

I just got a $1000 invoice for an Emergency visit. They leave you (no matter your condition) in the lobby in a very very uncomfortable chair for minimum 7 hours. You’ll have to be calling the doctor to follow up on your own procedures because they seems to forget. You’ll go in with pain and you’ll probably go out felling the same way and you still have to pay. They should pay us for let them treat us. This hospital is a total scam!!

If I could give negative stars, I would. This place is inefficient and incompetent. The nurses are arrogant and made an already stressful experience horrific. My daughter was terrified and they did nothing to assuage her fear and in fact, made her feel much worse. She went 7 hours without even an offer of water, we weren’t listened to and one of the employees was literally sound asleep in a chair while on the job. Everything took 10 times longer than they said it would. I despise Baptist and will NEVER go there again. Jackson Memorial and UM are enormously better options. AVOID BAPTIST!

I would even call this place a hospital. The country I come from, a developing nation with lots and lots of issues, have way better hospitals and services than Baptist offers. This hospital has no place in South Florida. Amazing how the health sector in the US is so poorly run. Nurses are caring and very good here, but that’s it. There are no doctors available, no one know anything about timelines, next steps and things take forever to get sorted. Do yourself a favor and drive a bit more and go somewhere else. It will take you a few minutes to drive further, but it will save you days or weeks hat you won’t have to deal with this nonsense. The bad reviews in their profile exist for a reason. Don’t play with your health by coming here.

I am so happy we chose this hospital to care for my Mom she was there for 11 days on the 3rd floor and every single nurse and doctor was exceptional!!! They took really good care of her and nurtured her back to feeling better the nurses in the dialysis unit were very exceptional too, with so much experience and knowledge they took the time to explain everything and made my Mon feel comfortable. All the nurses that care for her on the third floor dedicated their time and had so much patience I am unable.to name.them all but thank you Jessica, Vivianne, Jose and many more!! God you know their names bless them!!!

There is nothing more important than the feeling of empathy and compassion when one is hurt and needs medical attention. Thank you to the staff at the diagnostic center for the professional way our family member was treated as a walk-in to have imaging done. The building was spotless. The staff very professional and caring. Very comfortable waiting areas as well. Highly recommend your facilities.

STAY AWAY! On Aug 31 my 6 weeks old baby throw up twice and his normal behavior changed which made me concerned. I decided to call 911 the paramedics arrived and decided it was best to take baby to be since at the hospital Baptist being the closest to me. Once I got there everything seem great nurses were great and the Doctor came in immediately until the craziness started. The doctor ordered a bunch of exams that were honestly not need but he said it was protocol one of them being an X-ray to a 6 week old baby !!!!! Obviously me in desperate need I said yes to everything. Turns out the doctor said my son of 6 weeks had COVID , a urine infection along with pneumonia I freaked out. He started antibiotics there and then before being transferred to Children’s Hospital since the doctor suggested to be on observation over night. Turns out when we got to children’s after a horrible long wait my son tested negative for EVERYTHING. There was nothing wrong with him!! The doctors at children’s reached out to Baptist because they were not sure why their results were different to the results they got. Turns out my sons results with mixed up with another patient and my son of 6 WEEKS WAS GIVEN ANTIBIOTICS FOR NO REASON!!! Stay away!

I have been in the emergency room for 6 hours, with my 96 year old Mom. They left her after an ultrasound and a blood test in the lobby in the wheelchair waiting for the results. we can’t leave because they left the needle in her arm. The results are in but we have to wait for the doctor to print them. No one wants to help us understand what is going on. there is no one here that was here when we came in this morning. The staff is very not friendly, every time I ask a question. I will never visit this Baptist again. Customer unservice. I have gone to several the other Baptist Hospitals, and was always treated very kindly. This is very sad.

Attention to patient was excellent. The only complaint is that the stay in the recovery room after the procedure might have been unnecessarily long (about three hours). The next day, I (on my own) and then asking the hospital operator to place the call were unable to get through to the patient. The only way to obtain information about the patient was by calling the nurse’s station and hoping they weren’t too busy to pick up.

I was sent to the emergency building by my ob to have an emergency C-Section, I got off the car and walked to the building, to then struggle knowing where to go because the doors were closed. I had to call security and then they told me to go to the main entrance. Instead if the lady getting a wheelchair for me, she maid me follow her through the back to the emergency building walking and in pain and then just told me which elevator I needed to grab. After I was admitted, and my baby was delivered, the next day, cafeteria messed my order up and I didn't get breakfast until lunch time, after I was without eating the day before because I had the c-section and also while breastfeeding. During my stay, the next day, the nurse Priscila didn't look at my incision in the whole day, and instead of coming to the room, she would keep just calling on the phone which was pretty annoying to see if I was ok. Pharmacy made a mistake with my medicine by dropping the tylenol and also ordering the wrong antibiotics. It seems I get a bacteria in the OR, which complicated my recovery even more. The Cafeteria kept messing up daily with my roommate’s order. Didnt they have a credit card room available to pay for the services while in the room. The night nurses were the best, other all other nurses except Priscila were amazing. In general, I was very disappointed.

Came to bring my girlfriend to get her covid shot, which by the way they're forcing her to get, and only one elevator was working. There was a line of over 50 people deep. Walked 7 and 9 flights of stairs respectively. By the way it's been like this for 2 days. Place is a joke, no wonder the ceo is leaving.

My daughter is here having her baby, of course she is with her husband, I understand Covid is a problem and that they can’t let the amount of people they did in the past go into the room with the mom to be. But I think husband and mother should be let in the room. Safely giving everyone a Covid test even more than one test. It’s not fair for the patient or the mother of the patient. There are ZERO ACCOMODATIONS for the mother waiting outside the maternity entrance! This is ruining a special moment for everyone involved! Then you look at the main entrance and groups of 5 and 6 people are waltzing in and out going up to see there family! That is a hazard if Covid is what you want to prevent! If I could give a zero I would

I am so grateful for all the ER and stroke nurses that reacted so fast to my son on Sunday March 6th. My son was admitted as priority 1 stroke patient and I felt the whole hospital was motivated to help. Cat scan, MRI all was done within an hour and I saw, they were all relaxed and thankful when all results came back negative. it was like a big family. Thank you for all what you are doing and how you are doing. We will not forget this.

I was very nervous before my procedure. Once I was registered, everything went very smoothly and on time. It was very helpful that everyone was so attentive and professional. I loved their special heated blanket and they gave me some juice in post-op to stop my blood sugar from "taking a nose-dive". This was an excellent experience.

I was brought for an emergency here. I ended staying for 5 days. Everyone at this hospital was so amazing! They were caring, compassionate and took care of not only myself but also included my family. They work as a team, their teamwork is admirable. Even though, I was far away from home (Seattle), they made me feel taken care of and as comfortable as possible. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you team, my family and I will forever hold you in our hearts. You made this difficult time easier by just being you!

From ER admission via ambulance to discharge EVERYONE & everything was wonderful. From nurses, nurses' assistants, x-ray (Kyle Blunt deserves recognition by his superiors for his expertise, care & compassion), CT scan technicians, the entire orthopedic team, my surgeon (Dr. Fongue THE BEST) and other attending doctors I couldn't have been in better hands. The care, compassion & empathy exhibited by everyone was astounding. I've never experienced a work environment as happy & upbeat (especially being a hospital) as Baptist's. The employees truly love their jobs & feel great fulfillment performing them. And THAT translates into exceptional patient care.

If I could give this hospital no stars, I would. Please, if you are having an emergency, don’t come here!!! From triage until actually seeing the physician was not a pleasant experience. We only came here became it’s literally 5mins away from home. I should have just drove the distance for better health care services.

I want to thank this special nurse named Ivan and all his team on the 5th floor. I was hospitalized for 7 days and the treatment was exceptional. I felt in a family environment full of people willing to help their patients at all times with the best attitude. I congratulate you for the great passion that your work carries out. Totally admirable 🙏🏻

My mom was admitted May 5,2022 and is in the Hope building. The entire hospital is full of travel nurses or inexperienced nurses on a floor where patients are very ill. My mom was even given a lethal dose (16mg) of Lorazepam. Eventhough we expressed our concern about the dose, it was still administered. Hours later my mom couldnt wake up. However the GI doctor who ordered it, pharmacist who prepared it and nurse who ignored our concern, are still there!! This is healthcare??? They can't pay the loyal nurses that are still there more but they can pay travel nurses double?? I am disgusted with what I am witnessing. This was not the Baptist hospital I used to feel comfortable at and trusted!

Please do not take your family to this hospital, do not go to this hospital. They will die or they will make a thousand mistakes and nothing will happen. You will only get out with no complains or alive if you’re lucky. Staff doesn’t do what they have to do, supervisors just get paid to go to meetings and doctors can’t even find out what’s wrong with patients or agree on what to tell you. They make mistakes every second and nothing happens. Worst care for patients, worst customer service, worst hospital overall. This is my experience I hope you don’t have to go through what I did because it will be too late

This hospital has to be hands down one of the worst hospitals in Miami. It’s unfortunate because it used to be decent but now it’s like a joke. The attending physicians are just the worst. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE OLDER PATIENTS THAT END UP HERE.

the staff was friendly and very professional, the area very clean, reasonable waiting time. My entire stay there was excellent. My appreciation to everyone who had to do with my service and care from my registration, preparation, procedure and departure. mention three people: Marisol and her partner in the stress lab area and the kind girl from nuclear medicine who made my stay and process pleasant, explaining and answering my questions and helping me at all times and very attentive to my needs and care. Thank you all and congratulations for your valuable and excellent service

I found a staff at this hospital to be hit or miss. I went for surgery and had an overnight stay. I had two nurses on the first day. The first nurse was very kind and compassionate as a nurse should be. The second one had not a clue what she was doing, but tried to act as if she knew everything. She had absolutely no common sense at all And refused to give me my medication even though the doctor had told her to because she want to waited until I was in a room. One of the head might nurses in the recovery room was very helpful. His name was Joshua. Unfortunately, he had no idea how incompetent one of his staff members were. I sat for over 14 hours both before and after my surgery waiting for a room to be found that evening. My evening nurse was great. Very attentive and helpful. The one who came in late early that morning for the rest of the day was awful. Her name was Britney and she had an attitude. Early that morning I had to get up to go to the bathroom which was across the hall and I stepped on something and slipped. It happened to be a piece of plastic from a tip of a needle for one of my injections. Instead of picking it up off the floor so that nobody else would slip she just kicked it aside. And left her there. I woke up hours later and it was still in the hallway. Nobody bothered to pick it up. Also, when I came back from the bathroom, I got into bed, I was feeling very weak. I was trying to pull all the blankets, I had five of them, on me, and it was a mess. I had an IV in my hand , I was having difficulty. Instead of helping me like the previous nurse, would have she just picked up the pile of blankets and put them in my lap and walked out. Later that morning around 9 o’clock breakfast came to my room and the aid bought it in my bedroom And put the tray over my table, my bed. The room had no lights on and she walked out of that room without even trying the light on for me to eat breakfast. I had to call for help for someone to come turn the light on, just so I could even see what I was eating. Just real stupidity all around. Like I said, some of the staff was great others should’ve been fired long time ago.

I am an employee of the system and am very observant when consuming the services of Baptist Health whether for myself or family members. My daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed today which resulted in this survey request. The MCVI surgery center team was exceptional! I can't possibly find any criticisms, in fact the experience was easy, pleasant and thorough in communication.

I have to say I was impressed by the staff at Baptist , especially the ultrasound technician, Ivette Cifuentes, who has extraordinary skills, and put me at ease in anticipation for what I thought would be a difficult test . Her knowledge and great interpersonal and professional skills were very much appreciated . Great technician and person. Also, the RN Katia Mora was GREAT with capital letters . I have very difficult and small veins, and she was able to find a good vein instantly and with no pain. She also put me at ease with kind words and a good explanation regarding the contrast that was to be applied . Both of them are to be commended for their exceptional skills and the kind and compassionate way they treat their patients!!! I give them both the highest possible rating ! Thank you, Baptist !!!

I am so disgusted with the hospital doctors who never heard, nor listened to my experience with caring for my mom.Loved the nurses, some aide's as well who agreed with me a lot,had no power to due anything.. Subcontracted aide's were horrible, I'm disabled but I could sit in a chair, not move, assist mom in any way at all. This hospital has a very bad system in general, coming from social worker history who used to put systems together... I'm very disappointed after she was out of ICU. I would like to thank the staff that did care, and compassionate. I will be forever grateful for those. I'm so happy to finally get her transferred to a acute care rehab center close to home. I would not ever recommend this hospital to anyone that has a choice.

Just wanted to give a shout out to my Nurses and Surgeons. In the short term stay unit, huge thanks to Milady, Lilly, Maryorie, Alexis, Joshua, and the entire team up here. Y’all were so hospitable, and helpful during this process. Those in the OR, Charmain, Roxy, James, and the entire team that was there before, during and after my operation. Thank you for making the operation easier with all the laughs and helping me feel at ease. Final shout out goes to Michelle and the previous nurse in the ER! Thanks for admitting me and being awesome. Everyone has been super helpful, and I really appreciate everything! Thanks for the laughs and the care.

I had an ambulatory surgery done yesterday. Customer service from registration to recovery was amazing! Staff members and nurses were very attentive and sweet. My surgeon was Dr. Crawley, she is the best! She kept my family informed and the OR Nurse, Vianka was very attentive. Also my pre-op Nurse, Heidi, was very caring and Sonia too. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the hospital could be kept a little bit cleaner.

Why I’m giving two stars, I’ll explain, it’s a great hospital, because they do their best to help others. But, they may not like my grandfather or something, my grandfather has needed surgery, for months now, and his surgery was cancelled 6 TIMES!!! Although I may be young, my parents, aunt and I feel really bad for him. The hospital is dealing with things, so, okay I get it, and I pray that all goes well, but seriously, if you have given a date for a surgery KEEP YOUR WORD, if you don’t (like they have done) you lose trust, I feel bad, for real. So, thank you for your service. But, please, don’t cancel ANYMORE.

My father has been in the ICU care for almost 3 weeks now. He coded blue and was placed in room 1519 ICU. Dad was intubated for two days . This has been the hardest path we had to endure as a family but we have seen the hand of God in many ways. Especially in the care that the doctors and nurses have provided. I want to name some of them here. Starting with RN Matthew Corzo, words can’t express the gratitude we have for you. It’s amazing that such a young nurse posses such professional skills and excellence in all you do. You’re compassionate and caring at all times . We feel you as part of our family because that is how you are treating dad. Thank you so much 🙌🏻 Next is nurse Robert Hudson wow you really have extreme experience and compassion for patients that have been in the ICU for so many days such as dad and they have become anxious with their health situation and being here for so long. I can say that dad had some very difficult moments but you didn’t give up on him. You have done above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. Thank you for your beautiful spirit and love for people. Also Emmanuel passing by to see how dad is doing even when you didn’t have too thank you for your perseverance and kindness . RN Santiago Cardenas always being caring and on top of all details for dad and keeping us informed and also making us feel secure during these times of uncertainty, you also have a huge heart and calling for this . I would Also like to give a huge shout out to Alistair Sammy in the RT specialty, my father adores you. You’re Always so positive and encouraging to us and put a smile on dad face . Please know you have been a blessing for the whole family. Dad is still here at the ICU and we pray that we can get out of here soon. Faith can move mountains and God sends his angels and some of them have been these nurses and health care provided I have mention here. I really do hope they get recognized and blessed for all they have done. The Garcia Family ( the Triplets) Blessings 🙌🏻🤍🫶

My experience from beginning to end was wonderful! The department of Women’s Services not only took amazing care of me, but of my family as well. I would recommend Baptist Hospital to anyone. The staff was so attentive and knowledgeable, and always there when I needed them. The hospital was very clean and well organized, but most importantly, I felt safe at all times, knowing I was in excellent hands! Thanks Baptist

My mother came to the ER because she has issue speaking they thought it was a strike but she’s a cancer patient and had brain surgery. In order to know what is wrong with her she needs MRI well we got to the ER at 9pm and is 6:49 following day and still waiting almost 24 hours. This is beyond ridiculous you complain they don’t care about the patients. My mother can eat drink water or be treated until they do the MRI I complaint to patient services they were going to call me back still waiting. Baptist loves to send their survey but don’t want to hear when they are doing bad and this is not the first something like this happens. How can and old cancer patient that cannot speak due to a reason and the only way to know if her brain is swollen is she has blood in her brain the MRI will tell them and she can be treated.

I really appreciated the kindness, attentiveness, and good humor of all my nurses. The doctor also answered my questions and explained what was going on during the procedure which I really appreciated. Thank you for a very comfortable and painless experience from start to finish!

I was well taken care of. My pain was managed and staff was very compassionate. Had to take a star off (I’ve shared this before) for the discharge process. Why would you put the patient through this. What happened to safe distancing? I did not feel safe in a very crowded room right after my surgery. Whose idea was this?

My daughter was admitted to this hospital a couple of weeks ago due to CHS, yes CHS cannabis hyperemesis syndrome. Some of the ER doctors seem to have some knowledge about it. But it’s seems that they don’t have protocol or much experience with this condition! It was very exhausting having to explain to everyone every day what was happening as per it was different doctor every day and they didn’t seem to have read the patient history. I was very disappointed when I was expecting the psychiatrist to see my daughter to prescribe the anxiety medication, and the nurse told me that he reported that my daughter refused treatment. First of all we did not see him at all, and if he came my daughter may have been sleeping, but she did not refuse treatment. Also another nurse practitioner came in and left without talking to her. It seems that they just walk into a patient room see a patient sleeping and go to the next one. They left my daughter in pain for hours, no medication, except for the IV electrolytes. The nurses were ok, but some seem to be bother if you call them to check the IV alarm. There was a nurse that told my daughter to be quiet because it was a hospital, I mean she was crying loud because she was in pain. She finally ask for discharge because they weren’t doing anything for her. That Discharge order is the only thing that was fast. This Hospital is not what I thought, it use to have a good reputation! But the Doctors did not seem to have the most important thing , Compassion! A human touch. We are just numbers now a days so sad. I hope things change for the benefit of the patients. And that we all do our part in making this world a better place.

Today 3/18, I went to the ER. Poor care, poor service. Doctor not coming by for follow up. Lab results taking for ever. I always come to Baptist hospital and have never experienced this poor service. Perhaps not well trained new employees or new doctors. Perhaps your team, including doctors, should have more education on bedside manners. The only person who was professional and came by often to check on me was my nurse Nadia.

The employees working in the billing/collections departments are completely incompetent. They have sent my dad bills asking for payment for procedures he has never received! And when asked for proof, they send a statement and the patient has a completely different first and second last name! They can't do their job properly to see that they have been sending bills to the completely wrong person!

Great experience. Went in for surgery and from the beginning to the end everyone was very kind, attentive and overall amazing. My nurses Jacquie & Cassi from Pre-Op/post op were great & made sure I was always comfortable. The surgeon Dr. Gonzalez was also great. I highly recommend Baptist!

The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the last minute notifications for follow ups, cost, etc. I live 3+ hours away and had to drive there for a 15 minute blood draw and was given minimum notice of that. Okay, that's the complaint. The care itself was top notch. Everyone from the concierge to nurses and doctors were great. I was afraid of my first major surgery and it went so smoothly. I definitely recommend them.

My surgery with Dr Erinjiri went well. She did a wonderful job! The nurses were wonderful, passionate, and caring. I was treated with respect. My level of care was excellent and attentive. My two nurses especially, Marjorie and Ariana were so caring soft spoken and passionate and genuinely cared about the way I felt and never tried to rush me. Thank you all for such excellent care.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. Very professional and caring, my surgeon Dr Udelsman and his team are the best. Also, thanks to the anesthesiologist and his team I was made comfortable and at ease with the surgery. Excellent bedside manners, all staff made me feel comfortable and cared for during this surgery. Thank you!

Really this review is for the employees. They are wonderful. I had a procedure done yesterday December 9 at the Cardiac and Vascular institute. Everyone was wonderful and made me feel cared for. The level of professionalism is beyond what I ever expected. I saw more than one person covering for others since like many other businesses they are short staff.

I don't think I've received better care anywhere else, with any other procedure. Excellence does not begin to describe the feeling. Bedside manner, patience and courtesy surrounds you. I walked away knowing I was in great hands and receiving the best care possible. Thank you to each and everyone of you who took the time to explain things and make me feel safe.

I had a mitral valve repair from Dr. Charles Ma. Excellent Surgeon. During my stay on January 13 there was a transporter? Who wheeled me to my room named Adrian. Excellent at his job. Spoke with me and kept me calm the entire trip. I feel it's important to remain calm and he helped me do just that

I have had the best experience a patient can have in my surgery at Baptist Hospital. Nurses, anesthetists, staff in general and mainly my doctor Ahmed Eldefrawy, MD have been very careful and explicit with each and every one of the procedures and informative with my family. I am very grateful to all of them!

I was recently admitted to this hospital for what thankfully was just a health scare. They went above and beyond. From the nurses to doctors, They were all amazing. My doctors and nurses were encouraging the whole time and did tests after tests to ensure I was in the clear and I'm forever grateful. 2 nurses in specific (Megan and Sophia 5th floor) were so awesome. They were on top of everything and always there when I needed something. Highly recommend this hospital!!

The tech was very detailed and very attentive. I felt completely comfortable throughout the whole test. The reason I didn't give five stars was because there was a lack of communication and I waited an hour from my appointment time to when I was taken in for tests.

I Was transferred to this hospital from Coral Gables Hospital. This hospital saved my life! Very clean, great food/options, professional and very caring staff and quick results. I was treated like a Queen. I was released on my birthday and I even received a birthday gift and ballon. I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing great service.

I must say that the experience I had on my first surgery was excellent. From the moment I walked in to the moment I was sent home. Not once did I come across anyone being rude. Every nurse and doctor I engaged with had a perfect customer service

The entire team of excellence, Dr. Netta, the best, I do not regret having chosen her, clear and precise, and super special attention. the team of nurses are second to none Jenny, Cassie . the anesthesiologist doctor. In short, the whole team from where they registered you. I recommend the hospital and its team without one hundred percent

Went in for surgery and the registration was great, pre-op was great, recovery was not so great. The beginnings of my recovery was very good but then I was moved into another section of recovery and it was messy and insane! I don’t know who was overseeing this area but he had no organizational structure whatsoever and it was very difficult to be there.
