I discovered this darling park when I was grabbing coffee at Our Grounds which is located nearby. I couldn't help but notice the adorable playground set among beautiful landscaping. The park is on a large field that sits adjacent to the William Lehman Elementary School. It turns out everything in the nature based playground is brand new. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 31st of this year. The city spent $500,000 from the Quality Neighborhood Improvement Program and impact fees to redesigned the playground with the goal of getting children to spend more time outside and to encourage them to appreciate nature through play. The 4,510-square-foot play area contains inclusive playground equipment and Australian pine logs were added to provide seating. Playground equipment includes climbing nets, a double tower, spring riders, swings, a play and learn panel, and musical instruments to play. New landscaping including five oak trees, sod, and native pollinator plants along with concrete curbing, walkways, benches, and bike racks were added to enhance the area. The result of all of the improvements is a inviting play area for the community children. Improvements at Sabal Chase are part of the Miami-Dade County Parks and Open Space Master Plan which is a vision to create a sustainable system of parks, recreation and open spaces for the citizens of Miami.

It's very large and accessible from 2 sides. There is a new playground, mostly for little kids, with a few interesting areas. I would like to see a few more benches and maybe a water bottle refill station, but overall it's a nice place.

Not much there to do. There's a school attached to the park that has a basketball court. So when school is not in session you can use the court. When school is in session they take up large parts of the park for physical education. There's also not really places to sit.

Such a small quaint park. They recently added a playground for the kids. Very nice to just sit there and relax. If you stay at night you might catch alot of fire flies! Which is beautiful to witness :)

This park has a small playground but it’s new and it’s the aesthetic of the playground is in tune with the nature and lovely trees and shade that surround the little area. We love it so much and it’s usually empty. The field across the playground is huge and so gorgeous too with a few very large trees that make it picturesque. My children prefer this humble quaint playground (ages 2-6) so much! I would like to see a small restroom here and/or a water bottle filling station as well.

Be warned. You’re not allowed to use the open and very PUBLIC workout area Monday thru Friday until after 6pm, you know when there is no sun and the park is closed.

Great spot to workout or take my pup to stretch her legs. Basketball hoops and jungle gym available as well.
