Firstly, we have to say thank you to Joe for his lovely welcome to the hotel, and for sorting out dietary needs for the cream tea. Also thank you Joe and Andrea for their help sorting out lunch on our last day. All the staff during our stay were courteous, and every staff member we met during our stay gave us an acknowledgement as we passed each other, which was really nice. We had to move rooms, which was very quickly resolved, after an issue with the plumbing in the bath. This wasn't realized prior to our visit, although there was small amount of water in the bath when we arrived. I would suggest cleaning staff run all the taps prior to signing off the room, as this could have been prevented. Some dust behind doors and on windowsills also needs to be addressed, although I have to say it did not spoil our stay. The spa staff were very helpful, the pool was nice, s was the steam room, and the massages were the icing on the cake, concentrating on all areas of tension. The food was good, and there was a good variety of cold and cooked breakfast, with the cooked breakfast served at the counter, which is a positive in terms of a significant number of customers handling serving spoons. It may be worth doing the same for all food open to air? Thank you for a good stay, we will be returning.

Very enjoyable afternoon in the spa. Only a few relaxing chairs but there were some outside. The young man on the spa reception was extremely helpful and added to our experience. Would not recommend the pasteries for sale in the lounge bar. Service in the bar was very very slow. Although few guests four hot drinks took 20 minutes to prepare and we had drunk them by the time our very small pastry arrived. Hotel very clean. Plenty of parking.

Great day out for all the family and its free. Car park short walk from the entrance it's not cheap stay but offset by free entrance to museum.

Friendly staff. Range of treatments, gym or the option for a gentle swim (my usual option). And now swim classes for little people.

Had to wait to receive our room as hadn't been cleaned by 3pm. Room didn't become available so had to be transferred. Then given a room on the 4th floor which was unacceptable as my wife is disabled so had to wait again to be given a ground floor room which is what we booked...to top it all there was no room service menu and the spa doesn't have a jacuzzi

Myself and my friend enjoyed a lovely spa day with treatments, lunch and lots of relaxing. The team were so helpful especially Louis. The lady's who gave the treatments were amazing and we both left feeling great. I would highly recommend the spa.

not recommended for spa day. the massage and treatments were very good but they do not have ‘spa’ facilities… no sauna, no jacuzzi, small pool and their steam room was out of order so there was not much to do throughout our spa day causing us to leave early.

We were given the wrong room which meant a couple with a baby had to sleep on a single bed in a cramped room, the keys kept not working for our room or the changing rooms for leisure facilities The food was mediocre We were given incorrect information about breakfast times, which meant we missed breakfast by 10 minutes and when I asked for a bowl of cereal the staff were very rude. The whole place seemed very disorganised Also the carpets seemed very dirty, not hoovered in quite a while I would imagine.

We arrived approx 7pm. We cancelled dinner as we had dogs. We checked in and then went to the bar to get food. Only to be told we couldn’t get food until 8:30 and we couldn’t even get a menu. We had been travelling since 6am and we had a 10 year old with us. We waited for 8:30 and ordered burgers and pizza. The pizza was nice but the burger and chips were only mediocre. The room they had shoe horned in a single bed. We won’t be back.
