Poor pub full of maghulls characters. Could be a jewel in the crown but brewery has set sights low relying on parking fines to keep it alive

Lovely burger & chips but watch out when your parking. You'll get a fine if you dont put your Reg number in the key pad at the end of the bar.. Notices to log your Reg number aren't very noticable at all

Parked up for 20 mins as it was a very wet and windy tea time, had my disabled daughter with us , waited for the weather to ease up so we could get her out of the car, unfortunately it got no better, so decided to leave it for that evening as we didn't want to risk getting soaked going from the car to pub! One week later we were hit with a parking fine!!!! We didn't see any parking notices as the car park was dark and rain was pouring down, absolute disgrace, this place should be clearer on the parking and paying situation, will not be returning!!!

Good to see it back open, popped in 4 drink might try food next time after viewing menu.

Great pub.. Great food.. Very accomodating staff.. We booked a table of 9 1 hour prior to coming on a Sunday and they happily moved tables around for us... Highly recommended

No negatives whatsoever. Nice staff, nice clean venue, nice food, served quickly and cleared away quickly. The dog got fussed over too! Will definitely be making a regular trip here when we move to the area in a couple of months time

Me and the wife were there last Saturday night, we were walking past and noticed it had re opened , so we called in for a swift half as you do, anyway 3 hours later still there having a blast ! The place was really busy albeit there was a 30th birthday party on , but it just had a great atmosphere, there was a singer on who was really good, the staff were so friendly, and there was plenty of them so you didn't have to wait to long . I asked about the senior menu, and I'm 63 soon , but I'm not sure he believed I was that old ! Might have been the Twisted Sister t shirt I was wearing, but it did make mine and wife's night when you get to your 60s any compliment is a good one !! 🤣 Great night , great pub .👍

No atmosphere / music. No signs to say that no food being served. Card machine not working and not told until after I ordered drinks. Pub itself is lovely inside, clean and has potential but today was poor.

Was honestly a lovely atmosphere full of young and old. Food was average pub food slightly cold and dry, however I was disgusted to see how the manager was acting, I don’t think I’ve seen a more rude woman in this industry before. Face like a slapped a*s, no manners, she should seriously think about how she acts around her customers. Sorry for the rant but I think it’s awful.

Visited the coach on Saturday. Great Atmosphere. Service was amazing especially from Tayla who was really helpful and lovely and nothing was too much to ask. Definitely be coming back

I recently dined here with my partner who tried the mixed grill. The meat was good, but he was disappointed in the lack of peppercorn sauce served (which was at an additional cost as well). I ordered the veggie burger, which came with marinara sauce instead of the expected BBQ sauce. The bun was burnt and too hard, and it was missing the cheese and salad that was supposed to come with it as well. If we weren’t in such a rush I would’ve asked for a new one. The meal was on the expensive side for what we received, and we were overall a bit disappointed.

I come in a couple of times a week to have a game of darts but they also have a pool table. it's got a good atmosphere, all the staff are super friendly would defo recommend

We had the best time, food was delicious, staff so helpful and polite especially Taylor,a lovely pub inside and the large beer gardens , cherry on the top was George Michael tribute fabulous, will be going back next Saturday for another fantastic night plus the singer who is on

For the 3rd time of ordering meals here & there was another problem. This time the senior meal deal finished at 6pm we were told & it was 4 mins past. Nothing on the menu's to indicate this. We all went to another pub to eat. Won't be visiting again to eat, which is a pity as the pub itself has had a really nice makeover.

Amazing food, great service

We visited on 4th July at 1.30ish. The female member of staff who served us, her service was exceptional! She couldnt have done anything better. Customer service and food was amazing 👏

Excellent staff great food value for money we live south of Liverpool but come up once a month and always come to the coach & horses. Great for families. Taylor served us she’s lovely friendly very welcoming nothing was to much trouble.

Staff here are always super friendly, Gaynor is always welcoming and the food here is fab- highly recommend the chicken strips and the chicken tacos on the small plates! Staff were great about dietary requirements, some people in my family have severe nut allergies or are gluten free and this wasn't a problem. My mum loved the cheesy garlic ciabatta and there's a couple of beers on that I really like including Guiness, Coors and Madri. Have been multiple times and will be back 100%. Also events and live music on Saturdays is always a great laugh with decent music.

Came to the physic night and meeting up with family, ordered small plates which came very quickly , staff were outstanding very friendly and attentive. however the football was put on extremely loud, and we couldn’t hear each other speak.

I haven't been here for many years but was pleasantly surprised the decor is gorgeous and the staff were so friendly, gave my children lots of colouring to do.

Great food, great atmosphere. Staff where very friendly and helpful. Kids loved it as well. Coach & Horses has definitely stepped it up a notch! Can't wait to return.

Had a refurbishment recently, welcoming staff, looks nice. Lacked a lot of choice on the menu, unable to order off the proper menu on the app and most of the Sunday menu wasn't available. Due to the lack of choice I am unable to comment on the food or service as we had moved on to another pub

Excellent open Mike at the Coach and horses in Maghull on Monday evening. Will go again, it's on every Monday.

Went for walk on canal with wife and grandson. Stopped at Coach & horses for drink. Staff were very friendly and helpful but found the locals not so friendly. Might be me but will go again soon.

That was soooooo good!🍔🍔🍔🍟🍟🍟 Absolutely great place to stop for a quick meal after cycling! Beautiful pub with such a beautiful garden in the front! Also, by the bar was really lovely lady!! It was a bit cold outside but she allowed us to eat outside especially that we had a bicycles with us! Thank you so much for your great service! Definitely recommend this pub to everyone ❤️

Food was really good value and really good quality. Atmosphere gets a one as my partner was wolf whistled at twice by the yobs in the corner on her way to and from the toilet. Funnily enough didn't do this when I walked out with her. Won't be returning

Best pub in Maghull now. The refurb is really good. Great atmosphere for the football. Service great, with hardly any wait times. Cant fault it.

What a lovely time we had at the coach and horses! The welcome was exemplary as was the food and level of service! It felt like nothing was too much trouble, we were looked after and felt most welcome! Matthew was a delight and knew everything about anything you needed. The place was comfortable and felt bright and open and the refurbishment has been done to a high standard. This is my local pub and so we will be making sure to support it and use it as much as we can!

Staff are always warm and welcoming, wide variety of drinks on tap and also non alcoholic beverages. Having eaten here I can confirm the food is of a high quality, will continue to come here!

Popped in one Sunday evening for a roast as we drove past- enjoyed it that much that we came back today with more family for another roast!!! Love it! So yummy!

Cracking pub. Lovely chatty staff the manager Matty is really friendly and welcoming. Didn't have food but it smelt good and they show the football.

Used this venue for a funeral party. Would recommend this venue. Brilliant service by all the staff. Stress free and want to say thank you to Gaynor and Tayla for organising and keeping family and friends happy throughout the day and providing a great buffet. Will be coming back soon for some food and will book for any future parties. Thank you again.

We celebrated our baby’s christening at the coach and horses and they were absolutely brilliant!! Can’t thank you enough for putting on the most gorgeous buffet for us and setting up our cake and bunting so lovely. A special thank you to Tayla and Cass for going above and beyond for our family and friends. Highly recommend. Food was lovely and service was amazing!
