Went
here
for
family
Xmas
Dinner
on
Xmas
day.
It
was
unfortunately
a
bit
of
a
washout,
with
disastrous
service
and
food.
This
wasn't
down
to
a
poor
approach,
they
were
suffering
with
an
extreme
staff
shortage
due
to
multiple
scheduled
staff
calling
in
sick
the
day
after
Xmas
eve
with
'covid'.
Nett
result
was
a
skeleton
staff
left
to
look
after
the
needs
of
a
pub
full
of
guests
expecting
to
be
fed
the
full
Xmas
monty.
Without
going
into
the
detail,
the
upshot
was
it
took
nearly
4
hours
to
get
a
starter
and
a
main
(couldn't
eat
my
dinner
it
was
dry
and
overcooked)
and
we
had
to
give
up
on
the
desserts
and
coffees
etc
as
it
was
had
to
leave
so
ended
up
with
a
takeaway.
I
haven't
been
to
this
restaurant
before
but
was
assured
the
food
was
good.
Alas
this
was
unfortunately
not
my
experience
on
this
occasion,
which
I'm
sure
was
a
result
of
the
limited
staff.
Extra
Mile
Opportunity
(management
please
take
note)
i
think
it
would
have
been
a
good
idea
for
management
to
reach
out
post
Xmas
to
those
diners
who
were
affected
on
the
day,and
offer
a
liitle
goodwill
gesture
along
the
lines
of
a
free
meal
in
January,
would
cost
very
little
compared
to
what
was
spent
on
Xmas
dinner
and
gets
the
customers
back
in
the
door,
buying
alcohol
and
the
chance
to
enjoy
food
without
the
stress.
Just
a
thought.
