Delicious breakfast sandwich, salmon & capers on an English muffin. Oh, their brewed coffee is smooth and tasty. Thanks for being open early.

What an aesthetically calming and interesting coffee house! I loved the atmosphere when you walked in and saw locally made art and goods being sold, along with lots of plants too. The drinks and food were delish, we got the iced matcha latte, a seasonal iced tea, the chocolate croissant, and the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. Definitely get a something here as you take a break from shopping at the boutique shops nearby!

Wonderful little coffee house in Kennett. The atmosphere is very pleasant, filled with plants and ambient lighting. It makes the experience very cozy. The Lemon Souffle Rooibos tea and breakfast sandwich was tasty and hit the spot. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Such an inviting Coffee house! With that little succulent & collectibles shop within the business, it feels most special. The ladies behind the counter were extra-ordinarily nice and gracious. My Latte was prepared with much care. The cold brew was absolutely refreshing as well. All in all, a very recommend place.

Rustic coffee shop on Kennett Square’s “Cuisine Lane”. Pleasing to the eyes and pleasing on the palette! My café mocha (made with their own chocolate syrup) was delicious.

Absolutely charming coffee spot that takes it's brews seriously. The usual assortment of coffee concoctions and some creative new to us offerings. The seating areas are warm and cozy with live plants. They also offer a legit selection of coffee forward gifts and Kennet Square branded items. The bakery offerings are better than average and the ready made breakfast sandwiches are very good. The highlight was the Spicy Eggs on English Muffin with pesto, jalapeño, carrot-daikon slaw. Not so spicy and simply delicious. You won't find this at a drive thru.

Asked for ex hot mocha late ..was luke warm. Asked for a croissant on my egg sandwich. Large girl at counter said no, “choices are only sourdough or bagels.” As I’m Looking at many croissants, I said, “ I can pay the up charge .” She said, “no we can’t do that.” As a business owner, i would never turn down a client asking to change bread!? I didn’t know it was so difficult to change bread . Did you? Bad business =lost business. We Will never return . Rude . The only reason they are semi busy (no line ) just mild foot traffic is due to the upscale coffee shop across the street being closed.

The food is no longer made to order. They only have breakfast sandwiches now which are average tasting. The coffee and espresso however is superb. I would consider myself somewhat of a coffee/espresso aficionado/expert, and I certainly enjoyed the long black (essentially a smaller americano) and their regular coffee, especially iced. (my order with half honey and half mocha) Their latte wasn't as good but was still certainly above average.

Cozy, chill and inviting atmosphere. Was served quickly. The coffee was good and the breakfast muffin was delicious. Prices were average. Had a variety of different seating options.

This is one of my top 3 coffee shops in. The region. The coffee is so consistent. The espresso is always perfectly dialed in. The staff really cares about what they do and it comes through in the execution. Thank you Chris and company for always being authentic.

This coffee house feels so cozy and warm. There are a variety of food/drinks, cute gifts and handcrafted items like plant pressing kits, leathers wallets, plant hangers, chocolates, goat milk caramels, vegan/gluten-free cakes, and so much more. The staff was also very nice and welcoming. I accidentally spilled my husbands drink trying to take a picture of the latte art, but they didn’t hesitate coming over to help clean and in making a replacement even though I told them I would pay for another. The location is awesome too with similarly feeling clothing shops and restaurants surrounding it. It’s also less than 10 mins from Longwood Gardens!

First time going to Philter, I don’t drink coffee but I tagged along with my friends. I have a huge sweet tooth and bought a slice of the Banana Loaf and one of the Carrot Cake. Both vegan, gluten free (not vegan but fyi) and delicious. My friends enjoyed the coffee.

Really enjoyed Philter and will be back! I had a scrumptious breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and aioli on sour dough. The ice coffee was excellent and the small, crunchy ice was an added bonus. Friendly, kind staff and nice selection of local items (from teas to jewelry) to peruse through. Loved the ambiance and wood/plant inspired decor.

Always used to come here all the time and get the candied almond tea and studied at the window… went back in today - still decorated as beautifully as when I first walked in years ago - and ordered the iced pomegranate hibiscus green tea 🍵 . Was not disappointed. So good. Can’t wait to come back again when I’m in town soon.

Enjoyed our visit. Coffees were great, enjoyed the layout of the cafe, two friendly staff working, were really helpful explaining the speciality coffees. Enjoyed my espresso + tonic, never had one before as it’s definitely not a thing back home (visiting from Australia) Plenty of nice cakes displayed which I was eager to try if we hadn’t already had lunch. Enjoyed the artworks around which were for sale supporting local artists.

Unbelievable...!!!! If you want your Taste Buds to Experience a Savory, Delightful, Extremely Rare - matter of fact, a One of a Kind - sort of Breakfast Sandwich... THIS IS THE PLACE! Phenomenal; even their Eggs, Ham & Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich is the type of dish YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANYWHERE ELSE! I cannot express in typing the tone of my excitement, please take the text in Caps as me expressing to you how powerful my feelings towards this place is. A warm environment, beautiful interior, decorated with greens. In addition, THEY SELL MERCHANDISE AS WELL! It is Absolutely Humorous how one would Assume that the Eggs, Ham & Cheddar, sounds like a simple sandwich you can get at a Dinner. BUT THIS SANDWICH CAN NOT BE FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE! It is not a simple sandwich - it is soooo delicious; maybe its that sauce they put in there, but i digress. If you ever do get the sandwich mentioned above, GET IT IN SOUR DOUGH! I promise you, the sour dough bread only ADDS into the natural flavor of the sandwich. Great Staff as well. LOVE IT! Will definitely visit next time for another one of these breakfast sandwiches for sure!!!!

Cool, intimate coffee shop. Excellent coffee and pastries; we had a latte, a steamer, and several croissants. The coffee was well roasted, and the latte beautifully made. The croissants were surprisingly good- flaky, crisp, and not sweet. Lovely local artwork on display and plants growing up the walls. Awesome!

Lovely coffee shop! As a small family who seeks out great shops with something for everyone, we were very happy 😊 Both kids had hot chocolate, delicious! Flaky croissant, really delicious breakfast sandwiches, and the latte was superb! The special Mocha was heavenly 😍 We enjoyed our experience very much!

Great atmosphere, tremendous service by Kira who we loved, decent food, and reasonable prices. The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 is because their non coffee drinks aren't good. The chai tea latte and hot chocolate were both very bland. My husband said the caramel latte was very good. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, the tiny pumpkin and banana bread had good flavor but a bit dry, and the little caramels they sell at the register was very enjoyable. I loved the style of the shop and they have plenty of nice little spots to sit quietly and enjoy your time. I do also wish they had a few more sweet and savory food options but they still have a decent selection.

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip her to start off my birthday weekend. He knows how much I love coffee and a picturesque spot lol. It was a bit of a hike from center city but so worth it. Such a cute spot!

Great little spot, delicious espresso. The front now has a nice selection of plants & some home goods. My cortados have been excellent! I haven’t had the pour over yet, but it looks like they take it seriously & it would be great.

This is by far one of the nicest coffee shops I have ever been in, and I love going to coffee shops. There are real plants everywhere, creating a wonderfully calm atmosphere, and a selection of ceramics for sale, along with other items by local artisans. The latte I got was delicious, the service was excellent, and there's a baby changing table in one of the two single- person bathrooms. I will absolutely come here to work remotely even though it's a bit of a drive from my house!
